many of the version trailers are quite filled with spoilers as these are meant to be trailers in between patches, so some of them expects you to have played the game to some extent, or have reached a certain point in the story. up to you to decide if that's fine.
Personally, if you are planning on playing and catching up to the game, I think it would be best to save the trailers till after you finish a region (watching 1.1 – 1.X after Mond, 1.X – 2.0 after Liyue, 2.1-3.0 after Inazuma and so on.)
yes there is a studio that will make the anime.
I suggest that you should probably start playing genshin first cuz some of the version trailers contains massive spoilers to the story of the game and majority of the trailer will really make you confuse and not understand what is happening

And yes, there's an anime in the works and studio ufotable will handle it. They worked on the Fate series and Demon Slayer so you the animation is gonna be great, I'm hyped.

archons = gods.
the only hard content available (since this is pve) is spiral abyss and it can be cleared with just your fav characters if you invest in them. however, i don't care what others say if it's beating tougher content, they should at least have team synergy. you won't see me putting itto, faruzan, kirara, and shenhe in the same team but i bet there's one crazy guy out there that does.
'meta'-wise, yes there are characters that are considered incredibly strong. the abyss gives bonus depending on who's got a rate up to increase banner sales lol. at the moment, dendro is pretty damn strong. the most used characters in the current abyss are: nahida, yelan, and raiden. there are also consistent ones that have dominated top 10 even if they're not the most optimal in several abyss runs: kazuha, bennett, zhongli. everyone else is a mix and match. people use old rotations that are tried and true (vape or raiden-centric teams), or newer ones involving dendro. i'm hoping the abyss meta shifts when fontaine rolls around. i just want proper endgame content that isn't a card game.
Yest the Genshin Anime is made by the same studio that made Fate Zero, Fate Stay/Night, The Garden of Sinners, God Eater, Demon Slayer, and also the upcomming Witch on the Holy Night movies
For every gacha game you gonna suffer the first month and when you learn how the game work and have a good team then i think you will be ok.
It's very hard to tell who the oldest character in Genshin is because they don't divulge the characters' age too much. There are a few centuries-old characters among the ones you reacted to and they are connected to events far in the past, but nobody ever tells us when most of them were born.
Err… unfortunately, there isn't much one can say about Nahida that wouldn't be incredibly spoiler-y… you'd have to play the game to find out about her. Her backstory is dark but not in very particular if you compare it to other Genshin characters.
There are some light-hearted characters, but most of them had to deal with some sort of tragedy or a life-defining challenge. Even characters such as Fischl, Mona, and Hu Tao, who are relatively young (likely in their late teens or early twenties) and mostly unburdened, had their fair share of struggles in life. The only character I can think of that doesn't seem to have any dark past is Yaoyao, who is an actual child.
Fair warning about the version trailers: they contain spoilers of the game's story. They never delve too deeply into those, but they do touch some major plot points. So, although you won't know any specifics, you could get something as big as "Snape is actually a good guy" in Harry Potter or "Gandalf comes back from the dead" in Lord of the Rings…
Nahida might be the most broken character in the game for what she offers. You can learn her story through the Main Story quest as she is the central figure around the country of Sumeru´s story line and her companion quests of witch there are two.

People might say this character is powerful and best and all but it's absolutely BS. Almost all character can be powerful enough for most Content and anyway your fun comes from switching characters and team every time.
But there are some weak characters who offer really good challenges to the players.
About the anime
It was announced on last game anniversary (2nd one. On September 2021). The announcement was a surprise and they basically said "we have something more to share" in their live stream (they do live stream before every new update… So per month… To give an outline of what is coming next patch) and showed this concept trailer.
I actually couldn't stop but scream coz the announcement was soo cool and the first thing we see is Hoyoverse x Ufotable.
Hoyoverse is the company who is making Genshin impact and Ufotable is one of the current best anime studios. They're making the fate series and the current mega hit show, Demon Slayer.
The video also says it will be a long-term project. But that was the first and last time we got any information about the anime so most likely it will be out close to next anniversary… September 28th.
Honestly I'd love to see you react to the various Genshin (and Honkai) animated shorts. They're absolute gold in how they combine music with both the visual and thematic story elements.
For all we can know, there may not be an ultimate bad guy, there could be one, multiple, people who we already met, people we haven't met yet, people who are close to us or really stranger to us…
Or even us.
That's how little we know and how bad the mystery of the world reaches
Nahida's teaser was actually a hit in the head for us.
You really have to play the game for that story. Or watch gameplay.
It's a really long story and absolutely wild one.

His story is like the story that was building up since the beginning of the game … Slowly for 2 years until having a climax few months ago.

SO MUCH of the story/character lore is actually only available in limited time events that are no longer playable, so I wonder if rather than playing (which ofc you can do!) it would be more immersive/fun to watch playthrough's of the main archon quests/relevant story quests and event quests in order and treat it like you're watching an anime series instead!
They get longer and more interesting as it goes, and I personally, have rewatched the Sumeru archon quest (about 8 hours) about 9 times now. 😅 I love rewatching the main questline now and again like its my favorite tv show or something.
