  1. You really gotta change the titles of these topic series….even though your intention is to not alienate people you kinda make it look like ppl are trash for playing him when you label the videos that way.

  3. Another complain I’ve heard about Xiao is that his enhanced plunging attacks tend to push away small enemies which doesn’t provide a smooth playable experience.

  4. Now that you touched Sombrero man, the hat guy, the puppet, therefore you need to analyse and present the goods and the bad, the pros and cons, and review of that character.

  5. In my honest opinion, Xiao was ruined for me as a character once you realize he's just a glorified pogostick. His normal attack look so cool and is the ONLY male character I ever considered pulling since, during his first banner, he was fun to play WITHOUT plunging attacks. But if you take away his plunging attacks, he loses so much dps that there's no point in playing him.

When I choose a character to play, I like to play them at their maximum potential for my builds. It's why I mastered Klee's animation cancelling. It's why I went for C6 Dori.

Xiao requires plunging attacks, and only plunging attacks. I can't just throw Yun Jin in and expect anywhere near the effectiveness as pogo. Yes, you could say "then just don't use them", but they're there and still an option…it would be like playing Klee without her skill…why would I do that, why would I WANT to do that?

  6. it doesn't matter whether anybody plays xiao now or not… he will always have the greatest place in genshin players heart… like the moment he dared to sacrifise himself for the traveler stole my heart. and yes the character development of xiao is really good .. thanks to hoyo… but i think the main reason is his playstyle that most dont like him . not that i hate his playstyle.. like his playstyle is the thing that made me pull him. and i still use him oftenly and his is the best emo boi for me 😍 similarly to kazuha

  7. He definitely has a lot of things holding him back, like described in this video. But i main him. I love his character, his design, his play style even though he can be annoying to play sometimes, he is very fun for ms

  8. I was expecting this sooner or later truth hurts but the only thing i disagree with is that he cant use xingqiu or beidou he can by merely weaving basics in between each plunge though unlike other dps he cant utilize it perfectly since his main source is plunge

  9. I have Xiao and 6 or 7 other charcters at level 90 with some maxed out in talents and equipment . Yet I rarely get above 10,000 or even 5,000. So what is going on? Been playing for more than 2 years but was forced to start a new profile on my PS4 and then again when either PC and Playstation have different servers or the PS4 account overwrote the PC account using the same email

  10. And my primary characters and just about the only ones I ever use are Lisa, Xiangling, Kaeya and Diluc. I have other good who are supposed to be better than so called FTP characters that I ocasionally build on but why am I getting only a 3rd at best of the damage that others are getting?

  11. Oh btw I am sure someone has said but Xiao and Yelan does work. You really should have researched more on xiao mains and the teams they have. Xiao mains discord has a wonderful guide.

  12. it's interesting how WELL Xiao's playstyle reflects his personality and lore.

Xiao in lore always fights alone (largely due to the fact that he's the last Yaksha) and is reluctant to take help like in the Chasm Quest.
His playstyle requires him to be on field most of the time, his plunging playstyle is still unique currently, he doesn't synergize too well with most supports, sub DPS or even his own element and could function perfectly fine solo.

Both are a little to his detriment but in terms of character design he really is a 10/10

  13. I think you glossed over a bit too fast on the blow that Wanderer was to Xiao's niche:

Sure, their numbers are overall similar, but wanderer does this at range, while flying, benefitting from EM, with better uptime, nearly zero energy concerns and without losing his HP

Overall, if all you want is "anemo main dps" without caring for much else, it's not too much of a stretch to come to the conclusion that Xiao sacrifices far too much for not enough gain when compared to his direct competition

  14. Before he was released I wanted him bad but when he had his first banner and test run I found it underwhelming due to the nerfed plunge speed
