One more thing to consider, since Mavuika is an archon and a very important and popular character, Hoyoverse might release characters that synergise well with her in the future. But for now, Citlali is not necessarily a worse character than Mavuika and can be better depending on your account.
And don't forget Citlali is cryo…….

you can melt in thousands of ways already and she's not necessary
if you don't have zhongli, it's an alternative good option yeah
a lot of people hate Mauvika but she's definitely gonna be another future proof character like other Archons.
even if she falls down on dps, her off field pyro application will never fall off and it's already better than anyone else in the game paired with Natlan's support artifact set
Is Citlali also great with Hu Tao melt?
Me having only Gaming at c6 as the only pyro DPS is a win for me, so going for Mav and likely to get Citlai when luck and primos cooperate.
Citlali is low-key op. Her pyro res shred makes her the perfect melt support making pyro carries like Arle & even Hu tao op. If you have either of these you won't even need mavuika to hard pyro carry. She even makes Yanfei able to carry abyss & IT
Mauvika is too expensive to be a slightly better upgrade to Xiangling. Mauvika will get powercreep by Snezhnaya pyro dps’s so this is why the other archons are better because they were first supports and then dps if people wanted. Raiden mains are a good example, they like her and go C3R1.
I'm pulling for Mavuika, I've seen her gameplay and I'm really into it, I also wanna try and get Citlali since she's oke of the best supports for Mavuika, I also have Xilonen. Btw can someone tell me if I could replace Citlali (in case I don't get her) with Shenhe or any other cryo unit please

and one thing to consider, mavuika is an archon, and archon will be almost guarantee to be rerun on later patch, but citlali is not. So if you have low primos and not sure what to pull, i think you should pull citlali first
i'd just get citlali and pair her with diluc, kokomi and idk who in the last slot…
Mid lali
I collect Archons but I lost at Xilonen's banner. Based on why I gathered from theory crafters, Mavuika without Xilonen feels handicapped as a dps. Using her as a sub dps brings little to no value to my current roster.
So I'll pull for Citlali first since she'll complete my Chasca team. Then try to get Mavuika with my remaining f2p funds

we are flooded with DPSs in 4 years both 4 stars and 5 stars alike. Pyro is the most saturated element when it comes to DPS characters. Given Citlali's kit and supposing travelers have already obtained the likes of Neuvillette and Arlecchino; Citlali offers more to the table compared to Mavuika.

The thing with Mavuika is that many other pyro characters can be used instead of her, unlike other archons(excluding venti) who can hardly be replaced in their element. For example, in for electro we have Raiden being the only one with a kit focusing on ER, dendro has Nahida using Em to enhance reactions and affect the state of her shrine, and for hydro, Furina’s switching between healing and damaging with her hp-scaling buff.
Just pull whatever your soul tell you to.

Edit: Every Citlali vid that I've already seen doesn't recommend Hu Tao teams — that's why I assumed that maybe she's not suitable for Hu Tao.

Citlali has the weakest kit in terms of Natlan 5*, moreover shields aren’t relevant since healing is more valuable in meta. Its better to have Xilonen and then Mavuika as the two priorities in Natlan, especially since cryo is in the trenches.
yall said the same to Furina lmao. Archons are a blind pull, Mavuika is a 4 in 1 character.
Keep in mind that hyv put them in the same half for this exact purpose, this is a scam half to get midlali some sales as well. Everyone knows that cryo is the worse element next to geo now, don’t be fooled to skip an archon who’s likely gonna be more useful in the long run rather than a cryo shield.
if you're lost because you skipped all natlan chars for mavuika and realised mav's bis is xilonen, you could get mav now and wait for xilo rerun which honestly wont be long. if you don't like citlali dont force yourself to get her just to support mavuika immediately. alternatively if you aren't fussed about getting pryo archon and just want a pyro dps / a dps then you could opt in for arle who is more flexible.
