EXPLAINED – Why the Sibling IS a Descender | Genshin Impact Theory

In this Genshin Impact Theory I dive into the details of version 3.3โ€™s Archon quest Akasha Pulses the Kalpa Flame Rises, and explain why the Fatuiโ€™s accounting of the โ€œDescendersโ€ is by all probability completely flawed.

  1. I think the cryo archon as well is trying to end this cycle because she as well is trying to overthrow the heavenly principles somehow using the gnosis giving the current information she has 5/7 only the pyro & hydro gnosis is missing
If Nahida needed 2 gnosis to gain access to the memory of teyvat What 7 combined can do ?

  2. (this might be a half-baked theory)
from every region we've learned much about the world, Sumeru taught us about Knowledge and where every information and memories of Teyvat is stored but i dont think they told us how Irminsul gets it's information. im pretty sure that Fontaine will tell us this because Fontaine is the city of Judgement, Laws & consequences. they might not only teach us about Laws of the city but the Laws of the world, what i mean is for a perfect example of a Law is the Law of Causality, which would fit well with Irminsul. this Law would be in a similar form as Irminsul right, and where does a tree gets some of it's nutrients, from Water, the Form of Causality is most likely a Sea/ocean. Law of causality effects many things but mostly effects Timelines and adding & removing something like a person or information from a timeline will cause a ripple effect within the timeline, effecting everything within the world, like information that Irminsul has. what gave me this theory is this part here 10:09, where raiden drops the seed into what i would think is the Sea of Causality/Time or whatever it might be, causing a ripple effect and showing that something has changed within the timeline.

  3. Where do we see that historical records/books got changed because of rukkhadevata being deleted? As far as I'm aware it's only the perception of history that has been changed, which shouldn't change the physical history, so those books /should/ still exist unaffected.
The Fatui's list of Descenders could be wrong too, like if they know about the Enkanomiya book, the first 2 Descenders would almost certainly be Phanes and the second throne.

  4. Nahida erased Rukkha
Nahida says that abyss sibling's fate cannot be seen while being a part of this world because of someone who intentionally blurred it.
Ei plants a seed in the past and everyone assumed it had been there the whole time.

Claerly the tree can be messed with. The question that should be asked is not whether the Abyss Sibling is a part of this world, but rather who has the power, other than Nahida with 2 gnoses, that can mess with the tree (edit history in a way) and why was this done.

  5. If the sibling was stuck in Teyvat journeying and helping along the way and later become a major rule in the abyss for over 500 years why wouldn't it record this acts eventually.

  6. Iโ€™d say that The Heavenly principles isnโ€™t the Sustainer, as the sustainer is called Asmoday which is Asmodeus. Unless That identity was forced in it would be weird if a descender was apart of a line of gods named after the ars goetia

  7. "Lie" perhaps isn't exactly the correct word, it's more akin to reinterpretation and reframing of the original tales from different individuals, groups and retrospectives (which is the trait of actual "Gnosticism" early Christianity where various Gnostic groups and religions can emerges from different denominations of Christianity, Jewish and even different ones akin to Sabians/Mandaeans), although when talking about the lore of Mihoyo games starting from Genshin, there's also possible parallel of 'inspirations' of many Genshin Impact characters to be based of Honkai Impact characters, and this time this might tied to how the 1st and 2nd Descenders of the theorised to be Sustainer and Dainsleif to be similar to K423 Kiana Kaslana and Bianka Ataegina respectively (with some libertine of creative swap taken in, much like how Raiden Mei are cook chef while Raiden Ei can't cook), then Aether and Lumine are analogous to Captain of Hyperion (especially since Captainverse events are the first gate to Mihoyo's multiverse) and Rita Rossweisse

Which explains of how the current Lumine ended up altered by the recordings of Irminsul and all of her experience against Fate, while currently works close to Dainsleif while expecting to be truly reunited with Aether again, which connects to how Captainverse have Captain of Hyperion as his own actual character with long history with various iterations of Rita Rossweisse in both Leaf and Bubble universes and the latest iteration of Rita is accompanying him while trying to restore his fractured personas and memories while travelling to various bubble universes, the current latest Battlesuit of Rita also mentions to Captain of Hyperion in the bridge dialogue with him regarding of how "Fate is Cruel and she's preparing for something", much to how mysterious the identity of many versions of Rita in different universes which Captain of Hyperion already encountered with their own respective stories while affectionate to even romantic to Captain of Hyperion within Honkai Impact (as Captain of Hyperion to meet with various iterations of other characters from the main story while overseeing the true universe above main story and side events in 4th wall break manner as his memory is still fractured after 4+ years of the development of Captainverse lore), this is why Venti is similar to Honkai's Wendy, Nahida similar to Honkai's Theresa, Zhongli's being similar to Adam from APHO, all while Murata and Tsaritsa are 90% confirmed to be based of Honkai's Murata Himeko and Bronya Zaychik with Focalors/Hydro Archon probably to be based of Seele or similar transplant reflection), even Faruzan is quite similar to the trait of Ai Chan (the mascot of Honkai Impact) with a number similar personality traits and JP Voice Actress too (Yui Horie~ uwu)

I know it's quite loaded controversial with all of these parallels, but it's already connects of how Aether was supposed to be the narrative posterboys due to how it's fits with Captainverse events to introduce multiverses in-game in the first place, not even GGZ and HSR introduced it until later after, I'm not surprised if an some of the Aeons of Honkai Star Rail were behind the Captainverse explorations of multiverses alongside the origin of Genshin Impact's universe considering of how some Aeons are considered to even transcend The Principles of Honkai itself, which is the moniker enemy of both HI3 and GGZ until now

  8. What i got from the entirety of sumeru, including the whole thing about segments and how big a deal was made out of them only for them to 'all' be gone is that:
The sibling we meet in the abyss is a segment of the twin. When nahida helped the traveler look for info on their sibling it wouldve been with information the traveler had as reference point, so nahida ended up tracking info on the segment-twin (whom is of teyvat) and not the original-twin who is a descender.

  9. I thought it was very obvious from the moment we "erased Rukkhadevata and her memories from the Irminsul" that some aspects of the Cataclysm would be erased too. If Rukkhadevata knew Missing Sibling, the records in the Irminsul would alter or "conceal" the memories connected to it. And I think the very reason that Irminsul HAD to alter Missing Sibling's records would be if forbidden knowledge that HAD o be erased was connected to the Missing Sibling too.

  10. I have a screenshot of an Aranara saying "Rukkhedevadah" (or whatever the spelling is) so its either on oversight or possibly they still know too? This is after I completed the story quest of course.

  11. Ok, so with your assumptions here should we also take into account that lumine(if you chosen aether) the abyss twin, what does she want to achieve with the abyss? To destroy the world with marana. Therefore trying to break free from the attachment of irmunsal which is woven by Danesleif. It's all making sense now.

  12. Wait but doesn't Dainsleif still want to free the Sustainer? Now that both of them have connection some of his dialogue maybe interpreted as freeing the Sustainer too, just like Aether wants to rescue Lumine?

  13. We probably arrive around the destruction of Khaenri'ah before the heavenly principles rewrote the world, your twin being the one that gets sealed away in the cutscene first, seems to be taken for some sort of purpose considering the unknown god looks at us like were not needed and turns away from us, meaning we probably got sealed the same way but were discarded/forgotten left to eventually reawaken after our sibling had been rewritten into the world; by whatever happened during Khaenri'ah's fall. Supposedly we can assume that we were released from the seal as a result of the "Unknown god" no longer being present or alive and after 500 years and that their power that sealed us away had finally faded away, or perhaps it was Paimon had intentionally found us,, drifting in the seas eventually to wash up on Mondstats beach where using the last of their power to unseal us resulting in her loss all memories and power similar to Nahida and Guoba.

If the unknown gods power was able to seal otherworldly powers away and whole beings its not a far reach to say that its power may be able to protect the information contained within from being altered thus making us immune to the heavenly principles rewriting the Tevyat during the what happened at Khaenri'ah's fall

  14. Rukhadevata wasn't a branch that was removed from Irminsol, Rukhadevata was an Avatar/ and incarnation of the Irminsul tree itself and Kusanali was the branch

And if your talking about the branch being picked out from the cutscene, it's actually showing the moment of Rukhadevata creating Kusanali. It transitions from Rukhadevata hugging the branch to her hugging the now grown up Kusanali

Also the current story only confirms 1 single Descenders identity The Traveler's, the thing about the heavenly Principles beings Descender is simply Nahida's hypothesis not a fact

Recently Ashikai made a theory completely opposite to this Check it out if you have the time
