  1. Will you ever do a video about how strong lorewise we travelers currently are and may be in the future? It's always very confusing since Mihoyo, Hoyoverse now, always do us very dirty in order to show off all the other characters, totally forgetting us in the process or by just giving us the role of "moral support"

  2. There is a point i like to make in what she says in omnipresence over mortals "She says she knows everything pertaining to eternity and the fatui's action does not poss an obstacles for her notion of eternity at the time else they would have been purged long ago, all other matters like corruption of the officials were not pertaining to eternity and the official's made sure that the reports will not reach her ears only after this quest she chose to see everything.

  3. You should see how the soldiers fight the rifthounds at 1:17 One soldier jumped three feet just to hit the rifthound in the head it was very funny 🤣

Edit: also cat with blue hat absolutely obliterated those rifthounds

  4. if Istharoth is the god of time, Paimon vould be the newly born god. Since her "future" does not have to be lineal with Teyvat time, maybe the Unkonw god we meet in the past was the "future" of Paimon. Kinda like Dr Who and River Song develop their story togheter. The last time Paimon/Unknown God meets the traveler is, for her, their last meeting and for Traveler their first meeting.

  5. Excited for part 2-4!! It's also really amazing how Istaroth shows her power as God of Moments here. She took the literal seed from the moment Ei planted it to at least 1000 years ago from present time (since 500 years is the time needed for a spirit tree to grow, and the tree bloomed at Cataclysm, source: Before Sun and Moon, part "The Parable of the Tree"). Ei is also the only one aware of the sudden appearance of that tree since she was the one planting that seed. To everybody else, the tree has just always been there. I'm also very curious about Makoto's knowledge of Istaroth. Can't wait for the next parts Cat, your content is amazing!

  6. The glowing white-blue sap that poured out of the Sacred Sakura roots, which were to return to the leylines when purified; looked a lot like Condensed resin. Maybe, like how the Traveller uses resin to relive memories of the leylines in domains; the tree is purifying and condensing memories of the world into resin to return to the flow of the leyline and the memories of the world. I feel like there must be a very important aspect of memories that play a part to celestia and the world of Teyvat. After all, memories are the root of ambition, contains all the elements and everything within them, and can transcend time.

  7. This video is very insightful and I am glad I'm up to most of the lore by now. But does this mean if Inazuma was not a closed nation, Yae Miko could've been a threat too like the Princess in Dragonspine? That being said Yae's intuition is not strong but so was the princess'. What if she sees something cryptic while serving the sacred sakura?

This has at least confirmed the fact that even chasm will have some memories of ley lines lying around so we should be keeping in mind of them when we explore

  8. Man..Inazuma and it's people can't take a break aren't they? First the Vision Hunt Decree, then the Fatui and then now the Abyss. They can't even have a proper festival without someone getting in danger. It's always pain and suffering. Even in old times.

  9. im just curious that makoto trying to tell us in the cutscene.
"Sacred Sakura will bloom from the darkness and finally free from the cluthes of heavenly principles"
Is that mean celestia who spread the darkness?
I mean Ei overcome monsters in inazuma after sscred sakura bloom right ?

  10. Interesting take! One thing that always bothered me on our first encounter with Yae Miko is that she says "For us to meet now is premature". I always tought that with this phrase she was letting go that she has some sort of information network that montiored the traveler in Inazuma, but looking on the context you proposted it would make sense that she foresaw meeting the traveler later in Inazuma story.

  11. 3:01 Not necessarily. She "can see outside" doesnt equal to "sees everything" outside . Corrupt politicians and spies are a lot less noticable(though I wouldnt call the Fatui very subtle) then a bunch of rabid monsters. That those are the same she fought 500 years ago probably makes them stand out even more.

  12. Question- it’s never explained why the rift hounds are attacking the Sakura tree. It’s suggested that something triggered it (something maby related tot he cataclysm 500 years ago) but it is never explained what or why.

  13. Yae said that the kitsune goddess died before she was born but we see in a cut scene makoto holding yae miko (it is suggested through imagery and time that yae miko is VERY young her, perhaps a kit). Makoto left inazuma while the kitsune god was alive and never returned (she died) so if yae was born after kitsune saigu died than she would have never met makoto. THis might be an error on Hoyo’s end but it could be that yae was only a year or so old when kitsune saigu died, and she has no memories of the kitsune goddess (and maby even fewer of makoto).

  14. i thought you'd miss the traveler meeting with Yae the first time bcz u used Yae can see the future on the thumbnail. I mean don't we already know that from the archon quest. I am Very impressed by your giving it a revision/second thought.

  15. Don't forget to add that Yae is as powerful as Raiden Ei and is a good candidate to be the electro Archon but looking at Ei's fierce eyes she pretends as if it is a boring job to be an Archon as she can enjoy Novels afterwards.

  16. I don't think Ei was looking at the world around from the Plane of Euthymia during the Archon quest. She can, but that doesn't mean she always do so, just like people don't necessarily look out their windows all the time.
The first story quest made it quite clear that she has not been observing outside world for quite a while. Further more, the Fatui almost killed off habitans of Yashiori and caused much suffering. Ei's motivation of Eternity was to avoid loss and pain for both her and Inazuma, so it would be out of character if she did watch the Fatui did that and do nothing. I think it's safe to conclude that only after the first story quest did Ei start observing the world around her actively.

I believe there is a line from Ei in the archon quest that says that she knew about what was happening in Inazuma, but she decided it wasn't relevant for her eternity so she didn't bother. I dunno why people believed she didn't see everything if she directly said otherwise.
