  1. Genshin Impact is a Chinese game that draws influences from cultures and legends spanning the ages. The game is voiced in four languages, and subtitled in 13. The player base is global.
Inazuma is heavily inspired by Japanese culture, and so I pronounce it with that in mind. But even then, it's not that big of a deal lol. So long as you understand what I'm referring to we can have a discussion.

  3. Narukami translates to god of Thunder or god of lighting. This name is yet another piece of evidence about Raiden Mei being the Electro Archon.
In Raiden Mei's "Herrscher of Thunder" battlesuit skillset, she can put Narukami marks in the enemies when she hits it with certain attacks, so… maybe Baal will also put Narukami marks on the enemies? Those narukami marks makes the enemie take more Lightning (Electro) damage from Herrscher of Thunder.

  4. I don’t think Genshin’s and Honkai’s Yae are the *same*, but I do think Genshin’s Yae is Teyvat’s Yae.
For those who don’t play Honkai, in the game we know the existence of the Sea of Quanta, which is basically a multiverse with tons of alternate universes inside, which makes every side story in Honkai canon.

The reason people have been connecting Raiden Mei and Baal is because they suspect that Baal is Teyvat’s Raiden Mei, which is a completely reasonable guess. Baal’s descriptions are similar to the Herrscher of Thunder residing inside Mei’s consciousness.
The same goes to the Unknown God and Genshin’s Yae. They might as well be alternate versions of Sirin(Herrscher of the Void) and Yae Sakura.

  5. In Dune, God Emperor Leto II basically prevent his people to use Prescient Vision from Spice, in order for his people to devise non-Spice ways of doing things. And he intentionally bottled them up, to stressed them up, so that after his reign is over, they will disperse themselves all over the universe.

Presumably, the Electro Archon is doing a similar thing to her people.

  6. During the Sakoku era, the Shogunate basically gave an official statement similar to Mission Impossible's Impossible Mission Force.

    "
should you or any of your force be caught or killed, the Shogunate will disavow any knowledge of your actions.
    "

There is a variety of reasons on why they did this.

One of them is because, the Shogunate did not want to be seen as attacking a foreign power. Remember, back then there were a lot of Japanese pirates.

The other reason is, contrary to what some believe, Japan is actually a very fractured country, even to this day. If someone gets something, everyone wants 'a piece of the action'. To settle the issue of tributes from a foreign power, the incoming channels are then limited down.

  7. Perharps Inazuma could be available as a separate game of its own? As in "Genshin Impact: Inazuma chapter". Existing Players can export their characters there, but New Players can start their own new adventures there (but have to download the previous version if they want to play Mondstadt and Liyue).

I mean, for a Mobile Smartphone Game, it is pretty bloated. Mostly likely because it was originally meant for the Nintendo Wii U Gamepad prototype.

  8. Because the Traveller had no Vision, presumably s/he and Childe, plus some select characters (e.g. Ayaka, Kazuha) would be the ones that can be used in Inazuma. Let's see… Anemo, Geo, Hydro, and Cryo? That leaves us with Electro, Pyro, and Dendro?

Zhongli (Geo) and Venti (Anemo) might get 'Free Passes' also. Unknown if Amber (Pyro) and Fischl (Electro) will get them also. Amber is basically a smuggler, while Fischl…, another 'Traveler'? Fischl in the Japanese version is refered to as "Emi", a Japanese name; related to Sonic the Hedgehog's Amy Rose.

This means, the Roster of Selectable Characters for Genshin Impact would drop for Inazuma.

Perharps Inazuma could be available as a separate game of its own?

  9. Raiden Mei ≈ Twilight Sparkle. See also Sakura Taisen's Sakura Shinguji and Overlord's Narberal Gamma. All of them are related to each other. Though Narberal Gamma might be the one closer to the Raiden Shogun, especially with her Gamma Ray.

Note that Narberal is a Shapeshifter, but in Overlord, she only changed into one form.

See also Sonic Adventure's Dr. Eggman's E-100 Series.

Plus Phantasy Star Portable 2: Infinity's Nagisa, Senran Kagura's Ikaruga, and Fairy Tail's Kagura. Plus Kirumin's Nagisa.

Because of the Shimazu clan and the Inazuma Eleven connection. I also expect 'her' to show up, to assist her daughter, like in EG.

  10. Yae. Yanfei? Yanfei reminds me of Puyo Puyo Fever's Raffine & Klug. Plus My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic & Equestria Girls' Pinkie Pie. Then there is Hololive's Sakura Miko.

  11. The subject of Sakoku is often mentioned along with Inazuma. Note Japan didn't close trades with the East Asian countries, this can be seen even in current official textbooks all around the world. In a kind of way, it is similar to the Gentlemen's Agreement of 1907.

They still trade with China and Korea, and also with Okinawa and Hokkaido (back then when they were separate countries of their own).
(Inazuma was based on the Ryukyu Kingdom of Okinawa)

Trades with Southeast Asia and South Asia were done through with trades with China, Ryukyu, and VOC (see Batavia/Jakarta. Also Dejima, Nagasaki).

European trades is delegated to VOC, while trade with Russia is done through Hokkaido.

Because the Fatui is quite Russian based. Most likely Inazuma would be like Okinawa / Hokkaido.

So trades are not closed, only officially limited through certain channels. Then there is stuff like the Obama-Kyoto Mackerel Road backdoor.

  12. Inazuma was based on the Ryukyu Kingdom of Okinawa. Interestingly, an early part of the Inazuma Eleven series' story took place on Okinawa.

Inazuma's symbol was based on the Ryukyu Kingdom's Second Shō Dynasty's Royal Crest. The Purple Mitsudomoe.

Compare it also to Senran Kagura's Murasaki's helicopter Shurikens.

The Ryukyu Kingdom is a Proxy Country of China and Japan during Japan's Tokugawa era. In a sense, miHoYo are like them.

  13. The Inazuma Statue is unofficially related to My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic's "The Lost Treasure of Griffonstone" episode.

The Griffons of Griffonstone basically put all of their gold into one single treasure, that later on got lost.

At the end of the episode, Pinkie Pie gave a Fourth Wall Break hint to The Audience, that the gold were not lost, but instead were put inside the statue of the Griffon King. A small glitter can be seen on the eye of the statue, giving a winking impression.

That being said, like the Previous Creations of the Archons, most likely The Inazuma Statue will ended up as a Weekly Boss in Genshin Impact.

  14. Ayaka due to her 'Uncanny Valley' look, might be an Automaton/Robot/Gynoid/'Replicant'. Perharps as a Clone of the Raiden Shogun (see Tomb Raider's Wa Kingdom).

Nevertheless, she is meant to be 'more than meets the eye'.

Now on whether or not she will transform into a car rideable by anyone, that is up for debate.
