Oh yeah, there are THOUSANDS of years of history before Zhongli was even born, some of the most important bits are told in A Drunkard's tale Vol. 3 and Moonlit Bamboo Forest, and of course the new book Before Sun and Moon

I've reacted the same way about Enjou's revelation.
A fan club was created for Enjou, and I'm one of them.
i believe there's a lot of books about the era before gods. for example, an Archon Quest in Sumeru is literally called " Truth Amongst the Pages of Purana"

Yes, sticking with the game was something Im glad for. Mihoyo has upped their level with Enkanomiya and has given me even greater expectations for the future, and they were already high to begin with.
Also theres no words for Hoyo-mix's efforts in the music department, very happy to see you appreciate it like this. Watching your content is so refreshing precisely for how chill and honest it is, enjoying every second of it like any gamer does.

never forget "Paimon" is also a name of a demon god who is control TIME.
honestly I have… not been keeping up with Genshin lorecrafting and theories, but this quest and the lore bombs connected to it got me thinking a LOT about Paimon.
I think we do canonically know that Paimon is a child, in mindset at least, from the Venti story quest and her comments about “growing up” among other things. Combining this with her similarities to the unknown god and the general space + stars motif she has, and the new knowledge that the gods of celestia may not be from this world…. I’m wondering whether Paimon could basically be a child of Celestia that fell or was sent to Teyvat.
I don’t think the plot is going in the direction of “Paimon was deceiving us the whole time,” but I do think we’ll almost certainly get some sort of reveal about what and who she is, so her being essentially from Celestia would be about the right level of twist. It’s also interesting to me that Albedo didn’t seem to have as much curiosity in Paimon as in the traveler…? Hm.
I guess I’m also thinking Paimon may be Visibly from celestia given how Enjou was the one who said she was sus — the abyss is one organization which I would assume knows what the denizens of celestia look like.
This would also make the archons having demon names almost like… hm. If the demon names are native to celestia in the same way greek names are to enkanomiya, giving an archon a demon name when they get their gnosis is almost like a kind of citizenship card, or the roman empire granting conquered nations roman names and language and the right to rule over the locals in the name of the empire. It’s all very, very intriguing…

another detail ppl on the global server overlook, when Enjou said the traveler might get betrayal from paimon, paimon didnt refute that statement. paimon is a living vision(how the traveller can channel elements without a vision) used to keep an eye on the traveler. well this is what some theory crafters said over at the cn side.

This area reminds me of the mobile game Sky. The music reminds me of some classical pieces as well as the composer Sid Archaya. It's such a unique place, the feeling is completely different. The music really gives me the vibe of a destroyed civilization, it has a sad tone that fits the visuals so well. Damn this new region is incredible…
