also one of the Archon that travels other nation ON-SCREEN with Gnosis of a Queen i think Monstadt will be the most important nation of all cuz of Venti everything will fall back to Monstadt when the story unfolds probably bcuz theyre the Gate to Celestia which would led to Barbatos death
its more like they updated his story with a trailer, maybe we will see xiao for a little moment during lantern rite or at the end of it.

– If this vid is a lead-up to the Lantern Rite, what I really want for the comedic value is for Xiao to not know that who he met was Barbatos, and then meet him again at the Lantern Rite where Zhongli introduces them to each other 😀
And come to think of it, Xiao never actually had his own teaser, no? The cutscene about the five yakshas served this purpose, but he never had an actual teaser in the same style as every other 5*. Two years later, but he finally got one!

For Xiao to admit he needs to stop and rest is definitely character development right there. Particularly after chasm. Time we reach end of Teyvet Chapter I hope he does get to dance like he desires and retire to mundane life.
There are some similarities between this video and ayaka's video, which was 8 months ago. First, both videos feature characters that would be available in the next patch during the time of the video.
Second, both are based on one of their character stories, Ayaka's was of the time she recieved her vision, and this video is based on Xiao's struggle with karmic debt and his interaction with Venti. This could mean we could see other character stories being animated. My predictions are Eula or Albedo's time when they first join the Knights of Favonius, or maybe Collei recieving her vision, when she saved someone in the forest.

Xiao definitely knows who Venti is. In his character story 5 and in his voice line about him it gets clear, cause he says " venti? so that's the name he goes by" I think that line implies he knew him by another name or identity. Before this trailer we didn't knew if Venti knew Xiao but NOW they seem like they hang out frequently by the way Venti invites him to drink, and also how Xiao says "not tonight".

As an Anemo archon, it seems like he keeps to his word that the wind will protect and guide them in disguise.
I don't know why but by the end of this trailer all I could think of is how Xiao will one day succumb to the karma, or went mad from it bcause we already see him seeing things im this trailer. It's worrying

I mean…how are they supposed to sell his rerun? Tsubaki in the snow helped Ayaka's rerun get some money so Xiao also had to get a boost. Good for us getting some lore before we get milked.
