We already have genshin endgame : pull for a new character -> level up the character -> oh they added new artifact set for new character -> spend entire patch farming that domain -> oh they dripped a new character -> farm freemogems -> pulls for the new character -> level them up -> oh another new set -> …………….. Best endgame ever made. Least effort most value infinite money glitch.
Personally, I think people who participated these "Drama" are the minority of Genshin Players. Genshin majority of the players are casuals.
The Casual players don't even know this happened or they know but don't care to participate.
Half of these people who participated this "Drama" probably still spent money for Xianyun and the Skins.
So that's why Genshin won't change anything, because the Real Feedback are $$$ and players numbers. If these drop, they listen.

Actually I don't really mind their stinginess. I just want genshin to respect my time like hsr did. Make me play the game for the actual game itself, rather than doing daily first, then weekly, and then farming. Before I even done the weekly I was already too tired to play the actual game which is the story, I don't mentioned the endgame cus why bother if they didn't.

I've heard leaks talking about genshin impact 2 since hoyo doesn't see genshin as main project I'm not sure tbh but let's be real genshin won't last forever
People will play it, because the game is already " established " .I would and will play it even in part 2 or atleast until the game dies. The game does need some things we want but majority don't care and are pu ssies ..
Then again, hsr is looking good.

I will stick with genshin only to play as arlechino and Eula.

Because let's be real, I am playing it for cool characters but but but the story has gotten me in its grasp and it's really hard for me to just skip it.
I have been invested in the story for nearly 2 years and its only getting hype now.
If I switch to Wuthering Waves or any new game, I may possibly have to find a new community, new content creators, new friends and right now.
Genshin is like a sweet spot .
Genshin provide me this " relaxing feeling " which makes me play it.
And ofcourse there Is 100% a successor of main story quest.
If hi3 can go part 2 then so can genshin.
And as genshin is the biggest milker , I think i will just play it for fun and characters.

The revenue for March is misleading, Genshin had rerun banner and then double geo with Chiori.
Also Arlechinno is in the next version… Chiori is nothing compared to her, so "nobody" spent money for her… except they did and that's how they're top 2 in revenue xD
And that shows that even if people complain about genshin on social media…. The actual players don't care about "gamer stuff"
Genshin is a game to distract yourself after a long day (job, univ, family)… those are most of the players, none of them wants to stress even more in a game and genshin listen to them because they're the ones who bring the money

It's actually pointless, you're just gonna get a dopamine spike and it'll last for a few hours..but then it won't feel that great anymore, and then the character will eventually be forgotten because there's nowhere to use your built characters with their good kits, and not to mention the next characters coming out will make you forget them even more. Idk…
This is the emptiest patch of genshin compared to an anniversary month with 2 popular banners for hsr. This is the worst month to compare the two games revenue, you don't have to look further than november to see a complete opposite revenue split. Plus this is only mobile revenue and we know the proportion of mobile players is much higher for HSR. These numbers won't make them change genshin because these numbers don't show anything wrong about genshin, especially considering it has more active players than hsr. If anything, they should probably worry that the release of hsr didn't actually make a difference in their total revenue, despite the game itself being successful.

In my opinion, theres no need for GI to change. Arlechino banner might sky rocket over HSR. But as a casual and lore driven player, I think GI is already good. I quit Genshin before coz theres so much to do. As of now I'm enjoying it and hopefully if they ever add another mode or endgame, hopethat it is enjoying and easy to clear like the current events we have.

WW won't kill Genshin for the simple reason that the people playing it will likely also be still playing Genshin. When you're playing both games the player count for either won't actually go down.
The only reason i really stopped playing is because i don't have any storage left for the game.
But on a serious note,genshin is kinda the only successful game in it's genre that i am aware of (open world gacha) so since they control the standard and the fact they have no real competitors (for now atleast) they can do whatever they want even give you a single pull,and people would still play the game bc there is not really another game like it (ik TOF is a thing but,cmon,does anyone remember it??)
People will just cry for a new endgame when they get bored and tired with the present endgame. It's an endless loop.

I don't think we want HoYo to panic accelerate improvement plans, that can easily turn into an engineering mess they'd have to clean up later, which is where we already are. I think they've known their timetable for fixes and improvements, and they've been working toward it this whole time. I do agree that the goal is likely to have resolved many of Genshin's issues by the time the first arc nears its conclusion. The game will likely gain an influx of new and returning players as the story comes to a climax.

i will place all my bets on genshin will not lose to wuthering waves. Ppl do not even comprehend the reach hoyo has on the world in 2024 and the amount of ppl who know about genshin but never even played games in their life is insane and they listen to content dropped by hoyo and buys merch & what not. Hoyo is almost like its own culture at this point and ppl r severely underestimating what ppl use genshin for other than just playing it. Some ppl just play it for relaxing and touch grass in it and some use it like a therapy and some just hang out with frnds like a slice of life fantasy world no big adventure but fun little mintpicking moments. Wuthering waves wont surpass or kill genshin and it never will. I have said this years ago to my frnds and i will say it again as it still stands true to this day before all the drama started " Genshin's killer is genshin itself and nothing else can kill it " Ppl r shouting like angry mob atm in twitter but wait till the 5.0 teaser announced and shows u natlan and pyro archon and new characters. Ppl will start drooling at genshin just like how they did at 4.0 fontaine. So i m taking the gamble and placing every last coin on genshin's side and i will win it all or lose everything by genshin losing to WuWa but that is impossible as the world ending in 10 seconds (case in point when u read this comment).

Even if the game is a casual one and the playerbase is casual there's NO. WAY. They can't put a NEW AND FUNNY MODE for the part of playerbase who actually enjoys their combat system and wants to fight enemies that don't die in just half a rotation.
I know they won't add it. They don't wanna work. They're good.
So if they are, I am. Never gonna spend a single penny anymore on this or other Hoyoverse games. I had enough.

Man, I love this game so much, but I don't feel excited about playing on filler patches anymore, or pulling new characters because I can beat everything without a sweat, without thinking. That makes me sad
