Dear MiHoYo, this is why people are quitting | Genshin Impact

Recently, I asked in a poll if someone was on the verge of quitting (or had quit already), why? There was an overwhelming number of comment and even more votes. Let’s talk about it.

Talking Points:
[00:00] Intro
[00:42] Resin
[06:36] Too Grindy
[09:24] Gacha Greed
[17:58] Lack of content
[20:54] Final Thoughts

  1. For me, idc about resins because i still able to kill mobs with shitty artifacts. What i need is more content and story. The lore and story in this game is very interesting to me. But then again, different strokes for different folks eh.

  2. I’m annoyed of people saying lack of content… like.. just chill and wait.. the only thing I can agree with with the dum idiots flaming mihoyo is to do something about security…

  3. No matter what changes they make to resin, people will not be satisfied and say it's not enough lol. It's engineered to keep people playing and give everything real world value (time investment, $$$, etc). Every time we are given more resin (e.g. in BP), its not because their playerbase complained enough for them to change it, it's entirely by design.

  4. The thing that mihoyo needs to know is that due to sudden popularity of GI, many non-gacha players are new to such game, so some people treat it like BotW or any paid console game (endless exploration, unlimited access to new weapons, free characters etc. once you bought the game). However, I agree that they can still do stuffs to make things better. I wish people can add this in every survey to convince them:
    – Weekly dungeons that work like one-time domains you clear in events, free of resin. The rewards are mora, exp books and some primes. That'd be interesting compared to current parametric transformer where you only spam E per week…
    – Increase the weapon prototype drop rates cuz the rate is so terrible that obtaining 5* weapon might be easier. The half of craftables aren't even that good
    – No cost on weekly bosses (seriously why do they need to apply resin cost on this)
    – Daily Fragile Resin: Login each day in specific time like lunchtime and dinnertime to obtain a daily fragile resin. Their succesful predecessor, Honkai Impact 3rd already applied this daily stamina system in specific hour login (tho I think HI3 is much more p2w heavy compared to GI)
    – Treasure box refresh in duration similar to overworld resources. Once every two days, and some of the chests give 5-10 primos. Giving such amount of primos won't hurt and affect that much, but still make people enjoy the game more

    – Make weapon banner a bit more friendly by just adding one rate up instead of 2 weapons in 1 banner. For now, rolling on weapon banner is a whale talk

  5. While i fully support vocal players about resin being a literal cancer slowly corroding Genshin, i don't see the resin getting fixed, mostly because it's been roughly 6 months since the game release and they have done nothing about it despite the entire playerbase pointing at the problem while screaming this shit bad

So i guess the only thing left for us to do is enjoy the ride that is Genshin while it lasts, since Mr.Mihoyo at the wheel is trying its hardest to ram it into a tree

  6. Tio me 3/4 of what u said its whatever I mean its a gatcha game, its the way it works, deal with it or go play something else, but the lack of content is real and evident, in my opinion thats the cause of the problem with the 1.5 leaks that u know a big % of the player base its sick of the you know, nothing and to top it off 1.4 doesn't even have a new 5 stars. lol

  7. Weekly bosses, it should not cost resin,
Many keep saying resin cap 250
Recharge rate of resin should be 6 mins.
This also more daily activities or weekly activities, and more daily primo rewards.

  8. The gatcha factor on artifacts is nuts! I think they could create a way to make our grind worth, an artifact merger, creator or whatever. I am AR 55 and Ive spent ALL my resin since 46 on ONE DOMAIN trying a good Crit Dmg helm.

  9. I've always said that this game would be so much more interesting if they made random events where we get double drops/half-resin costs days through out the week making players want to login and see if today is that day.
Another thing that I would love is for them to give us some sort of dust that we can use to re-roll our artifacts' sub stats so that way we have to use less of our resin to farm GOOD ones and instead just mostly get fuel or main stat oriented ones.
Still, I will always say that our dailies should gives us 160 primos instead of 60. Like…Honkai does this, Genshin has no excuse to leave us dry like this.

  10. The rates are pretty bad to be honestly. It takes 3 days of commissions to do a single Wish. This means it will take 30 days to get a single 4-star. This means it will take 7-9 months before they get a 50/50 chance to get whatever 5-star banner is going on in 7 months. And Mihoyo sprinkling 100 primogems here and there, usually not even adding up to a single wish, is not enough to make it very enjoyable. The fact that we're supposed to randomly guess what limited character is going to be on banner in 7 months and then gamble a 50/50 chance and fail, then have to build up another 7 months and hope the character we want is on that banner is really unfair. They deadass can't even let us get 1 Wish per day even if we buy the Blessing; always 10 primogems short. They seriously need to increase the blessing to 100 primogems. Even with that, its 75-90 days to get a randomized 5* option, which will most likely be an un-necessary constellation or weapon you cannot make use of.

  11. Hi not sure if people still check the comments here but just wanted to complain
Ive had a glitch in which I cant play Genshin at all for the past FIFTY days. Ive sent over 20 emails to mihoyo with 2 alt accounts
One email was actually reponded to and went like this
    "Hello, please help me"
    "Are you still having issues?"
    "Yes, I am"
"Good to hear, please contact us again if you need"
    Ugh…

  12. the problem with the developer is more so the fact that they're scared; that if they increase the amount of primos people will stop spending money on the game, and if they increase the amount of resin you'll grind out and progress all your characters too quickly which leads to realizing there's literally nothing to do then just quitting and forgetting about the game. This is why they're always so reluctant to go through with any of the community feedback, even though this reluctance is what is slowly killing the game. They hear the feedback, and maybe a lot of people at miHoYo want to make the game better with it, but the higher ups are scared to go through with most of them, and don't let them. That's why they always go through roundabout ways of applying the feedback like how they dealt with the resin system so far. It's slowly getting better but very marginally at the moment it's mostly just quality of life but they seem like they'll cave soon and give us a little bit more resin, like how they added fragile resin to the battle pass now. Even the primogems they're slowly increasing the amount events give, I think when Inazuma drops they'll add another (small) source of daily or weekly primogems that you can farm not counting events or chests, that might get you enough for a summon a day total F2P (one can only hope). I wish miHoYo grows a spine one day and takes a step in the right direction before it's too late. I certainly do not want this game to die.
