  1. Honestly, I don't think a 1* rating is disingenuous. The quality of the game isn't all that goes into a rating.

Imagine going to a restaurant with really good food, but the waiter pulls down their pants and takes a huge poop on your table. After that you go to the manager to complain, but they spit in your face and tell you to fck off. I couldn't give a place like that a good review even if it had the best food in the world and that's the current situation Genshin is in. They have a great product but it's so mismanaged that it doesn't really matter how good it is.

  2. If they announced the livestream before the day of anniversary none of this drama would've happened. This was their biggest mistake

Most gachas don't drop the anniversary update on the exact day of their actual anniversary. They do an anniversary stream first, then they drop the actual in-game anniversary celebration, rewards, and updates

Gacha vets of the community would've probably explained this to everyone who's new before the situation gets too big (if they announced the stream ahead of time like I said)

No fucking way they just come up with literally one event and one login event for their actual anniversary. It isn't fucking greed or anything like that it's fucking stupidity as It's common sense that anniversaries are a good way to promote the game which equals to bigger profits in the future. Right now isn't the real anniversary and this ain't copium as I have already explained the reason why. If they prove me wrong on the livestream they are idiots at business and fucking deserve all the backlash that they got

  3. I wanted diluc from the start of the game but I still doesn't have him.i thought that mihoyo might give out a random free five star slector. You said that don't put your hopes high but I did.I agree that it is my mistake but the disappointment that I can't have diluc in my party is sad.

  4. Everytime I don’t check social media i go to Instagram hoping that mihoyo might’ve addressed the situation. At this point I’m tired of getting disappointed every time they make a move like silencing the community so I will just get back to how I used to play the game and appreciate it

  5. It's just a disappointment nothing much is given or said on the first and 2nd day of the anniversary event (if there will be any). I sometimes see post on people complaining this is more than just anniversary but also lack of end content which is true; such complaints should be through constructive criticism. let's be honest, most of hte bashers are just riding the bandwagon, it just hurts everyone in the community. Personally, i dont care about anniversary rewards, a gesture is good enough; I just want more content that makes the worldspace of genshin more lively. I feel like it's a big mistake for me to enter genshin community at this time. Just a tip, if u want news and updates about genshin w/o negativity and toxicity, just follow the Japan genshin accounts on twitter or youtube and unsub the rest for now; it is more chill and positive there.

  6. i dont want a free 5*

    i want a choice banner
    nothing more nothing less
let me pick what unit i want to dump my primos on

but most importantly give the players a choice

if they want to give out a free 5* yes ill take it but with my new jade cutter i dont really need one anymore

  7. I think Mihoyo just think the community is throwing a mere tantrum, waiting for the community to tire themselves out.
Have you heard? Mihoyo spent 10$million dollars just to get twitter genshin hashtags to include emotes. The fact they did this and the fact theyre actively silencing, censoring, restricting the backlash IS mihoyo’s regards to the community in of itself. Summary: mhy doesnt care

But, after all this, people will return to playing. The fact is, genshin is mainstream. Players and content creators will experience burnouts, but genshin is so popular(and they have reruns and new banners coming) they will still keep players in. Anni will be treated as a “tragedy”, just a worse lantern rite. Its just sad. And that will all it ever will be. Sad.
If mhy makes a compensation this late, its basically them saying “we’ll only listen to the community when the community threatens to make our sales go down by riots”

TLDR; i am high on copium rn and i just want to let genshin go man

  8. You know what? That's it! Genshin impact fanbase is the worse fanbase (For the toxic ones). So eat this toxic ones, there are better games than Genshin impact. Super Metriod is way, WAY more better than Genshin, and that came out in 1994! And I know damn well Metriod Dread will be better than Genshin.

  9. As a matter of fact honkai first anniversary was even worse then genshin, there are pics circulating online to confirm this statement.
And review bombing other games from mihoyo like honkai doesn t do your community any good. Honkai community didn t have a good impression at all about genshin and now it s even worse. Good way to repay the community that allowed you to become a community in the first place (Genshin was clearly funded from honkai , honkai also gave genshin it s name).
    Truly sad

  10. Saying the majority of players are going to be upset that both banners are reruns is huge stretch and not founded at all. The ones that going to be upset are the mega whales like yourself. I don’t remember that many people being upset that venti and childe had reruns back in 1.4

  11. i personally am also disappointed with the whole situation and it doesnt even feel like it's anniversary which is a bad sign. however, i still love the game and im not quitting anytime soon. its just… tiring continuously getting little to nothing from mihoyo and the game just feels kinda meh rn. childe rerun better be happening next patch imma just say i just hope they learn a lesson from all of this

  12. the only reason why im not pissed about the anniversary is cause we're getting a childe rerun and i've been wanting to get him since i first started playing (which is after his rerun so i never got a chance to get him)

  13. i logged in earlier, checked the mail got 400 primos and a wing glider for day 1 and i dunno why but it feels like i have no energy at in the morning when sun is already rising high. while doing dailies the air was so suffocating so negative and at the back of my mind screaming "get me outta here now!" it is so depressing it compelled me to delete the game, delete all my online shares and posts on genshin impact and be done with it. sorry ganyu(i love u) but the $2k i saved for you and your weapon, im using it on another game i currently playing and having fun. sorry mihoyo, this is your loss not mine.

  14. Yeah it is the first year of the game but they have another game so the argument for it’s the first year doesn’t really stand they know how the gaming community is based off of their past and they’ve had a year to prepare for this knowing their game is popular

  15. Simply don't spend on genshin that will get their attention.. that aniversary is Soo bad that it's like u play all the year trying to get at least a 5 * hero then the aniversary comes and u get NOTHING

  16. This whole event was just disappointing.
I didn't even feel happy when I woke up and saw the log in event..Just kind of disappointed.
Its difficult to farm primogems as it is because I'm really busy..but I want to get new characters and stuff.
There's not really an excuse for laziness or no effort. I'm debating quitting and going back to honkai or PGR at this point.
