My thing is… Why is the genshin team actively engaging in war with the people who play their game. Why do that when you could just make the players happy. People think the game Genshin is dead and if you think about it, Genshin wouldnt be dead if they actually gave us what we wanted . The poor executive decisions is what lead the game down this path. How long do they think they can keep the game alive if they cant even listen to one thing the players say.
Yeah honestly people need to understand if the CN community cared about any bad treatment or a lack of anything in the game. They would of done something about this a long time ago. Not almost 4 years into it. They are fine with the game the way it is and will always be.
hello From Greece , Okay , so i have been playing genshin for about a year now , and i absolutely adore the game , and the live stream was nice . But honestly to me not having a free 4 star skin selector is really really sad . Like it would be amazing to claim either Shenhe's or Ganyu's new skin with an event instead of having both of them as paid skins. This truly was very dissapointing . I feel like for a company to prosper and have a lot of positive reviews it's essential to communicate with the players and if there are any issues a company that replies to the players is showing a really good profile in my opinion . I hope you can somehow change this and add a free 4star skin selector for Ganyu and Shenhe ..It's so important to listen to the player's opinions and feedback , it's not only Chinese players but worldwide players , a lot of people were dissapointed with the rewards and the fact that there won't be a free skin selector in this patch … I hope to see an improvement in rewards and in communication with the players in general . Btw that accent sounds to me like a Jamaican accent 😀 . Much love to the Carribbean from Greece 😀
I hope the Genshin devs wise up and do something before it's too late. Yes, Genshin may be a powerhouse now, but if games like Project Mugen or Wuthering Waves stick their landing, Genshin will slowly loose players in favor to better, more exciting games. But honestly, the only way for Genshin devs and execs to truly feel like they need to change is if either the CN players do another Zhongli incident or Genshin profits just drop significantly that they are forced to change to keep up; the former being the more likely case for now.
In any case, I hope the other games do well; even ZZZ even though it's from Hoyo still. Tower of Fantasy may have failed to carve out a big chunk out of Genshin's player base, but it did make a good enough splash in the water to make people see the bad things that Genshin does. Competition is only good for the players/consumer.
I struggle sometimes because I don't want to seem like an apologist, but also I've gotten a thousand hours of good story and fun gameplay for literally nothing.
And there's certainly things I wish would be improved in the game, but I struggle to complain about stuff I get for free. I'm not against paying for something I find fun but never once have I felt like there's been a situation where it was "pay up or miss out on content"
It's very odd that the genshin team doesn't just give more rewards to the players rather than scraps. Out of all hoyo's games genshin generates the most revenue so why. The logic isn't logicing. Whoever is in charge the what players should get needs to step down and let someone else cater to the players wants. Fair is fair, they gave honkai a limited banner 5 star character for free!! and we can't even get a standard banner 5 star item for an anniversary gift🙄. If mean was a company then they have it hands down
The only big impact (no pun intended) CN player did as a revenge to the dev was the 2.4 censorship. It is true the culplirt are from the activist group in Teiba which notorius to be filled with antis and malicius people the funny thing is their player impression with the incident are more of both laugh and sorrow because the other side laugh that the dev taste their own medicine after they censored player feedback back at the 1st "anniversary" and the sorrow are some player cope that is wasn't censorship and more of "fix" despide the note for the change outfit outright said it will no longer cannon.
You can still see the effect of the incident till this day try to claim the changed outfit in 2.4 are "fix" and not censorship even few big youtuber cope so hard try to explain it wasn't censorship despide even agree with some comments in their video it is censorship.
The other one if more of leaks but that are it's own story and boy the developer are still too salty about it.
I'm pretty sure there is internal struggle behind Genshin game development group that is so bad I bet some of the team had to quit and migrate to HSR development since they have most of the OG developer used to work in HI3.
For CN player they had it comin and a consequence after what they did to Global player in HI3 global 3rd anniversary.
When this situation just came up I just though it was so random was they have been doing this already and it happening now feels kinda late but if it succeeds I would be happy.
But anyways I’m just going to be agenda pushing Wurthering waves as I feel like it’s too late for genshin and hearing they manage to revamp 90% of storyline is just impressive.
Eventhough it most likely won’t kill genshin I’m confident it can take the hardcore players who’ve been asking for endgame in a while letting it find its ground somewhere in the gacha games.
I disagree that all the other things had nothing to do with it. The 3 pulls was just "the last straw" for a lot of Genshin players. You have thousands of frustrated players upset because the devs ignore them and treat them so poorly compared to other games (even games made by the same company). Then the Genshin devs drop a snarky mere 3 pulls acting like they did the community a huge favor. Pretty much this is the community saying "We've had enough! Its time to listen to us!"

They talk like this is a big deal which is incredibly insulting to the playerbase that has given them billions.
