  1. This is a tough one to compare honestly. However I appreciate the effort and you showed us that it can actually work. It's hard to determine which is better for multiple reasons 😕 theoretically the hod should come out on top

  3. My Keqing does more damage using the shiminawa set even tho its not max

    To be fair she has no crit but that can be fixed with black sword

  6. For taser teams where you don’t rely on your ultimate for big pp damage, new set is better. If you run a vape/burst DPS Childe, HoD is still better. I personally prefer the new set.

  14. At the end of the day, stats are stats, including set effects so if someone's 2pc HoD, 2pc glad beats out their 4pc HoD they've been farming for months then it is how it is. I wouldn't use this set because constantly vaping childe's burst is really good and losing out on that would hurt. Unless you have extremely good subs to the point where it beats out your best set atm or Baal generates enough energy with her skill for childe to constantly get his burst back idk if it's worth. In multitarget scenarios I don't think it matters too much because of all the particles so just go for the best subs at that point

  15. One thing that is annoying with that set is that it doesn't buff as much the riptide damage (15% Hydro compared to 18% atk), the energy loss is very bad too in my opinion

  17. I literally just tried this as well, my HoD pieces being mostly terrible and having a ton of new pieces of Shimenawa from farming Severed Fates, figured I'd try it. He seems to gain energy quick enough (or using ult in bow stance) that it seems viable.

  21. Hmm. Maybe Childe with Shimenawa vs hydro debuff of long cooldowns? When having a burst isn't even much of an option.

    But I don't have him, so I don't know.

  22. Aw crap. I'm still stuck farming for good HOD pieces for Childe and I'm almost done too. But it's been months. I think I'll just stick to HOD. If I get Childe on my main account, I'll definitely go for this set.

  24. its more of a sub dps set, in my opinion. the set isn't good for his burst and childe does have a good burst. but witht his aside, i think this set is actually really good for him, especially with double dps and you just let him in to deal some dmg

  27. I don’t think it’s better. Only reason why he deals more damage with the new set is because kazuha gives him more hydro dmg. And childe already has a lot of hydro dmg so the damage doesn’t stack up that well. Meanwhile with the new set you’re basically giving him more hydro dmg more normal and charged attack and more atk%. With kazuha yes the new set is better but without kazuha it isn’t. Plus the new set ruines his rotation if you’re playing vaporize Childe. With vaporize childe you NEED to use your ability then ult doing big pp dmg bc of vaporize. With the new set you can’t use your ability then ult bc it would ruin the vaporize by attacking with normal/charged attacks. And you also can’t get the set bonus if you ult to vaporize then use the ability. The hydro set was made for him and it is still his best set unless you don’t care about his ult which I don’t really recommend since he deals a lot of dmg with it.

  28. I guess this set is best on freeze teams, his raw burst dmg doesn't do much anyway while hod is still better for xiangling Bennett vap comp because of his burst uptime & occasional vap hit on burst.

  30. Well, there's a problem in childe-xl team, you can't just press e and q to get a huge vape on her fire this way. It might not be a big deal in the end but it kind of evens the damage out…

  32. So I went from 2 Piece Crimson Witch and 2 Piece Noblesse to 4 Piece Shimenawa for my Hu Tao.

    I went from 55% Crit Rate and 200% Crit Damage to 49.6% Crit Rate and 220% Crit Damage.

    I have yet to get any good pieces of the Energy Recharge focused Artifact Set for my Mona, I can't even get a Flower that's vaguely passable, but at least I managed to get something for my Resin.

  33. My sister spent a long time farming artifacts for Phys dps Zhongli, HoD Childe, and Flame Hu Tao. She probably not gonna change out any of those artifacts due to the several months of farming we had to do in co-op.

Well a lot of Childe's damage comes from his rip tides which only does hydro dmg so that's where HOD is better than SR, plus you usually use him as a single hydro character most of the time, and hence he already suffers from energy problems, plus his burst is also a big part of his dmg cycle which you get to cast it twice if you are doing things right (that is another reason rust after R3 is superior than hanayumi would be after r3) so chucking off his burst is not ideal unless you give him a bit more er which means less crit rate and dmg or atk for that matters, tho if you are just use him as a pure DPS and only using the normal atks and not as an enabler SR should out perform HOD but not by a lot.

    Though this is just theory since i haven't farmed a good enough set my numbers are way different so once i get good enough artifacts, i would update this comment.
