If you wanna meet Layla like now she's in the fungi tournament event
I love that she apparently has a sober, non-sleepy alter ego that takes care of her work while the "real" Layla sleeps. It'd explain why she feels so exhausted when she awakens, and it could neatly play into her voicelines where some of her lines would be her "awake" alter ego speaking with us.
Ganyu, Layla, & Sayu! The "dream" team! Now I just need that 4th sleepy character to fill that team.
She has a jazz theme, i'mma C6 her so fast LOL.

Ok so don't get too excited but I'm currently working on a story where Layla sleepwalks to Mondstadt to meet Mona to help her with a certain bit about her paperwork since she's a noob at that particular subject and needs a more experienced astrologist to help her resolve that issue.

So basically the reason Layla is always tired is because she technically never sleeps. When she does go to sleep, her alter ego inside her awakens instead and is even more active than the daylight Layla so she exerts even more effort which will result in tiredness and sore bones when daylight Layla wakes up again and thinks she's sleepwalking. So when we look at it since alter ego Layla has a conscience, not only Layla's body never sleeps but also her brain. I do wonder if this can be a gift or a curse

It is nice to see more recognition of tired eyes/dark circles as traits of beauty, i have them naturally (or stress) even though i get plenty of sleep most of the time, i find them pretty and cute
Her demo is out now because she releases next Friday! After that we’re back to the normal release schedule
