I personally believe the gnosis binds all the gods to the Heavenly Principles. Once they are destroyed all at once, the gods are no longer bound to their masters and can rebel against them. Thus, the contract that binds all contracts is destroyed. As a result, the archons and the other gods can go all out on Celestia.
