  1. English is just straight up portraying her as a different character than the rest of the versions, well if it comes to worst the producer can just pull up the Barbara card i guess.

  2. CN & JP seem on point! They catch the calmness, boredom and frustration of that scene. The English voice was nice but it didn’t capture the attitude. The animation mouth gestures were too small for that whiny yell. I couldn’t be lost in the moment. She sounded more mad than bored, while she looked just calm and bored, too much emotions were expressed in that voice – more than the animation has showcased. However Neuvilette EN was definitely it! 10/10! The CN was 2nd to that.

  3. I cannot wait to see how likable she will be… Venti is like popular girl in highschool, Zhongli is an idol, then Raiden is rockstar & Nahida is straightaway Mother Theresa…

  4. Honestly, I think people are overhating Neuvillette's JP voice. Having a position of authority doesn't mean you have to have a really deep voice. The JP VA's for Eula and Cyno were also criticized for the same thing. Which I find really stupid to be honest.

The tone have to match the, above all other things, the character design (Other things are kinda oprtional, as the character desing by itself shoul take into account things like the job or the personality of the characters), and for me it does. I mean, that's literally how I would expect a person that looks like him would sound like. I mean, I don't get where the people got the idea that he should sound ultra deep. Probably from watching any other version of the trailer (first impressions are important after all).

Now, regarding the delivery: It is flawless. It conveys the calmness, confidence, seriousness and neutrality you'd expect from a chief of justice.

For me, all of the VA's for Neuvillette were perfect picks and did flawless jobs.

Now that I'm done with Neuvi, regarding Furina:

For me the best is KR, which represent the best how bored she is, as well as her personality (bratty yet refined).

The worst one is definitely the EN, the character isn't opening the mouth enough to make such loud sounds. Also, he sound like full of emotion making a tantrum while she's supossed to be bored and we can see she has the most monotone expression. And they focused too much in the 'bratty' part or her personality and omitted the 'refined' part.

My personal opinion on Furina's dubs in this particular scene: KR > JP = CN >>> EN

  5. For both Neuvillette and Furina
    1 : CN (As always)
    2 : EN
    3 : KR
    4 : JP
Idk what happened with the jp va this time, but this is just … not as good as the others😔

  6. I love how much praise the eng is getting here 😭 I use eng dub and people always dump on the eng voices of characters, like whenever someone makes a nice comment about the eng vo some weeb goes and complains in the replies

  7. English: sounds kinda spoiled, very bored and frustrated by how ordinary things are being.

Japanese: sounds tomboy-ish and bratty, has hopes that something interesting will happen soon.

Korean: sounds cute, is not that bothered at all, only wondering when she will see a real twist.

Chinese: sounds elegant, kinda sad by how ordinary things are going.
