  1. While hyperinvesting into one team is definitely one of possible ways to play Genshin, it is one of less safe strategies because there may happen an Abyss cycle where the monster lineup has exactly the wrong resistances to make your team look pathetic. I would bet this is what happened to some people with particularly the current Abyss cycle too because for anyone who builds to keep their options open the way it is restricting selection of elements particularly for second half is not a problem.
Personally I have never pulled for constellations and all 5-star C1s I have were happy accidents. I have C1 Venti which is absolutely useless, I'd even say it gets in the way because sometimes it makes me hit things I don't want to hit, C1 Kazuha which is sweet, and C1 Yelan which is absolutely phenomenal. Given how many characters I have I am starting to consider investing into higher constellations of some of them because even getting additional C0 5-star characters has diminishing returns and I am pretty deep in it already.
On topic of Kazuha's C1 I can say one thing: using it may be extending your rotation but it also reduces amount of AR you need on your characters in favor of damage generating stats and improves grouping of monsters after Kazuha's burst, allowing your DPS to hit more of them at once.
On the idea that Genshin Impact is balanced around C0 5-star characters … there's a lot to it. First of all, there is insanely wide variety of how skilled and ambitious Genshin players are. Somewhere around half of the playerbase does not go into higher Abyss floors (9+) at all. If there is any balancing, I think it is about proportion between those that don't play Abyss, those that play it but stop before floor 12, those that get into floor 12 but don't 9-star it, and those that 9-star even floor 12. And I doubt that balancing even concerns about constellations, it's way more likely just about how many get into each group.
Constellations are, beside leveling up the character, weapon, talents, and artifacts, yet another way of improving your character. And unlike other aspects, this one is purely obtainable with money, with no additional effort needed to put into it. Genshin Impact does not need many whales, but having some is nice. And this is exactly the opportunity that lets potential whales turn into real ones.

  2. Jello being real and telling people that the 5* cons are all bait except for Yelan's 😜

Your new home looks nice and I'm looking forward for your new content!

  3. Very interesting video with a lot of infos well put together. i 'm 100% f2p but i managed to get Yelan's C1 and i would recommand it to anyone, that's such a quality of life improvment while exploring the map, not to mention the aditionnal dps.

  4. As someone who has spent over 55k USD on Genshin I can confirm to say that whaling on Genshin makes the game a lot more boring but makes it fun to compete with other whales in fun co-op and abyss tournaments since you don’t have to regulate the limits, but if I only had to choose 3 characters to C6 they would be Nahida, Ganyu and Yelan, every other character is either not that used like Eula or has an ok to good c6 (Yae is up there too but her base kit is not the best)

  5. C6R1 Jean + C6R5 Venti + C6R1 Faruzan + C6R5 Wanderer/C6R5 Xiao is the way to go, tbh. No need to waste Bennett, ZL, XQ, Yelan on Wanderer and Xiao comps. RES shred losing 50% effectiveness below 0 doesn’t matter either.

  6. Imo the only constellations that are actually worth it are the ones that buff your entire team or increase damage tremendously. Especially Nahida C2, Kazuha C2, Raiden C2 and maybe you can argue Yelan C2 or Hu tao C1 are worth it. I don't think any constellation pass C2 are worth getting. They just cost too many primos to justify the benefits.

  7. Great video as usual. Abyss has definitely been harder lately even with most of the best C1-3s. I usually take Zhongli to the consecrated beast floors since they can one shot you so fast

  8. Small Brain: Pulling C2 Raiden for 500k Burst.
Medium Brain: Pulling C1 Hu Tao for comfort.
Big Brain: Pulling C6 Shenhe to make everyone a cryo DPS.
Galaxy Brain: Pulling C2 Nilou and C2 Nahida so my Barbara can do 100k Bloom Crits

  9. The only thing I disagree on is yelan's constellation to get her dash (c1). The benefit of it in the overworld is more than convenience and can translate to power if you do overworld artifact runs. Getting 130 artifacts to fodder daily is a big bump in power incidentally. Turning that grind from 20 minutes to 10 makes it more attractive to do and something a player will be more willing to do overall. Hours saved from this and doing dailies make it the only real constellation that I think is a must have.

  10. Sorry if this was defined already, but when people say “clear floor 12” of the abyss, like in this video, does it generally mean:
    1) defeat all the enemies on floor 12 before time runs out, regardless of how much time is left on the clock, or
    2) defeat all the enemies with more than 7 minutes remaining, thus achieving 9 stars for the floor.

  12. I got c6 Yelan & I'm debating about getting 1 more character to c6. I thought about Nahida since she'd do the same thing as Yelan. Also thought about c6 Nilou so I could have a second Yelan. But now, I'm thinking c6 Childe just because he looks good.

  13. Going for C2 kazuha does benefit ayaka freeze teams simply because his passive gives elemental damage bonus of 0.04 of his Total EM. So 200 EM is additional 8% elemental damage. Also makes him a better sucrose. So it just makes a universal character even more universal. Overall really good if you wanna make a character you use a lot be even better. Personally I'd rather make characters i use often even stronger than to have tons of characters i don't use.

  14. I've been somewhat lucky with limited 5* banners & got Zhongli, Kazuha & Childe C1 in the same 10 pull on their banners; I recently rolled for Kazu's C2 & got that at 78 pity & will go for Zhongli's C2 to be more helpful in co-op. Now I'm gonna rustle some feathers by saying I don't play Childe & will not roll for him again, ever. Other than that I have a few standard 5* cons on Qiqi, Keqing & Tighnari (I didn't roll on his limited banner)

  15. Beidou in first half of abbys is more usefull than Shogun. She's smashing with Kokomi, Fish and Kazu. That's why i don't wanna cons. I prefef be creative in teams and more units is more teams

  16. With the recent difficulty spike in both the abyss and now this departed warriors event, constellations are now becoming a consideration. My first and only 3 c2 units are alhaitham (simp), kazuha, and nahida (mad OP constellations). With all that being said, your video is very well timed.

  17. zhongli c2 isn't just co-op value. the fact that you can use his burst to reapply his shield onto yourself is huge for allowing your pillar to retain a short cooldown for repositioning it whenever necessary. it's a massive boost to his functionality in mono geo teams if your zhongli isn't just built brainless shieldbot especially. it allows him the ability to deal damage more reliably and consistently and allows him to generate energy more consistently as well since you basically get to have your cake and eat it too. you can reposition his pillar as much as you wish without forgoing re-applying the shield.

  18. Just started watching but i was baited by the thumbnail and i am just here to report that i got Raiden to C2 for free, with 20 VERY lucky pulls between one another

  19. Nahida c2 is probably the most versatile constellation as it basically powers up every character who uses her teams. It is like giving constellations to 20 seperate characters. It is probably the most cost effective constellation in the game. Yelan and Kazuha c2 are also similar like that. They are all supports who make your teams stronger.

  20. Did you mean to say jump instead of dash cancel when you were talking about c0 tao? C0 tao with dash cancels is crippling your own gameplay for no reason. Huge dps loss from her standard c0 jump combos because you're basically cutting the amount of charge attacks you do in half. Compared to that, I can imagine a regular c1 string like n1cd8n2cdn1c being close to double the dps, though I don't have exact numbers on it.

  21. Most Eula fans prob already know this at this point, but: Eula C1 and C3 can provide meaningful upgrades to her dmg, while also working towards C6 if you want to go all the way. Also, at that point, give her a good claymore like SS, WGS, BACON or SoBP

  22. Hu Tao's C1 is my favorite 5* constellation in the game (and the only one I want to roll for) because it provides large positive QoL (positive in that it does not take away from the character's kit to have this functionality–i.e. rather than Yae c1 helping fix her glaring energy issues, which would be negative) in a way that is unique in its category as all melee characters have stamina costs on their charged attacks and HT's C1 lets her bypass that categorical restriction to have more satisfying gameplay. In the same vein, it is extremely not necessary and I have been clearing 36* in the abyss for over a year with my Hu Tao teams and this is part of what makes me like her C1.
