imagine this: so much thinking about it. what would it be? how much would it cost? all that speculation but then in reality all they did was dragging the existing table in excel down 1 more cell and called it a day lol
I also did estimates on how expensive level 100 would be when that leak dropped and ended it with "it's fucking expensive". Character levels I lowballed a bit more (but should still at least be around 300 books, while talent levels cost a bit more Mora and books.
Crowns gatekeeping last 3 talent levels I don't really see, I either, I think a crown refund (just the crown, not the Mora, books,…) and moving them to the new max level 12 is what would happen to not screw over people, who use crowns liberately, but also care about power too much. The crown hoarders likely won't care and continue to hoard them anyway.
But the bigger issue is in my opinion how level 100 (and everything attached) would throw off the existing balance. All characters scale somewhat differently with talents, stats and reactions. Transformative reactions would become even more prevalent (usually ~30% base damage increase every 10 levels), while characters not using those will need way higher investment: Usually around 7% damage increase per talent level for that specific talent plus weapon to enhance to 100 as well. And depending on their specific damage profile we're looking at 2 or 3 talents to enhance on some characters…
I barely ever do Leylines, I pretty much just farm artifacts every day because even if i don't really feel like playing Genshin doing it in co-op is still pretty fun. I literally have zero exp books right now, since when i get bored i usually build a character i haven't used very much to try new teams, my mora is in a critical state too.
Lots of farm, materials and resin for what ? … to even playing field a bit at floor 12 with some paltry stats and scaling ? Without some meaningful ascension passive or change in gameplay it feels pointless. I hope they won't come up with great idea to rise artifacts lvl to 24, nothing feels so great like turning your perfect piece into not so perfect piece via another rng check. Hopefuly Natlan won't prove that all devs went to HSR and ZZZ teams.

Expensive to reach or not, the one thing that Hoyoverse should do ASAP to immediately improve the game is to put in Lvl 100, a new WR and exclusive rewards for reaching them. Right now there's no technical reason to go past AR50, and that's insanely dumb for a game with RPG mechanics.
Before I watch the video. I hope they give something like crowns to upgrade talents beyond 10/13. It should cost just that material and nothing else.
It can be limited obtainable from event and so you'll have to really chose who you wanna lvl15 and yet you won't loose heck lot of resources.
Stopped playing like a year ago. Might come back for lvl 100s.

I have been playing this game for over a year now and am always broke. I'm still waiting for 0:43 to happen. It's not like I'm leveling every character, just the ones I like and want to play.
I guess we get new materials in natlan for lvl 100 and new players can also farm these by turning into a dragon
Level 90 is already not really worth it. So I hope level 100 gives you more than a smidge extra damage and hp plus 2 talent levels. Like you said an extra passive or just a way more substantial damage increase. Also the level cost of going from 80 to 90 and 3 times 8 to 10 talent level is insane. I only do it for characters I really like.

Realistically speaking I really doubt they're gonna give direct buffs to characters through new passives. The new imaginarium theater buffs have the potential to shake up the meta in unique ways anyway.
That level increase is probably just gonna be arbitrary numbers.
Level 100 has tons of Character Progression Potential, if made right and if used together, to implement new features to improve the overall Combat System, in order to create a new higher Status Quo, so that Level 100 feels in the end, like the whole game changed significantly and is more, than just a few Stat Points getting increased.
What Level 100 could POTENTIALLY change all for the better of Genshins general Combat System:
– Stat Rebalancing, lettign receive weaker older characters a significantly better Stat Boost from Lvl 90 to 100, than the Characters, that are already better
– Level 100 Weapons, giving them also a significant boost in their Base ATK, and a second Transformation, that is this time actually also a power boost and not only a change of colors, by giving Weapons from Level 100 onwards a second Main Stat (Only 4 n 5s Weapons can get Level 100, 3s Stuff stays at 90 max, cause theres no point in raising the cap of trash, unless MHY would add finalyl the feature to upgrade 3S Weapons to at least 4S niveau, but I dont see this ever happening)
– Talent Levels 14 + 15 becoming reachable via unlocked new Talent Materials of 5s Niveau
– AR70 with rewards un new unlocked features between AR61-70
– WR10 new max, to make the Game Worl more challenging n rewarding, so that we can earn the new higher quality materials, speedign up also the whole leveling process from 0-90 significantly again, while the big grind moves towards 90-100, where it was 80-90 before.
– Passive Talents becoming able to upgrade from 1 to 5
– Characters learning new Passive Talents that help rebalancing them n makign them more interestign to play
– Unlocking Features, like Multiple Weapon Sets
– Unlocking Features like Combat Style Changes
– Unlocking new Combat Features like Dodge Counters, Parry, Switch Finishers
– Unlocking 6s Artefacts with lesser RNG involved
– Unlocking a new Secondary Resin Currency for new Lvl 100 Domaisn with that you can earn new Equipment Types to farm for – Armors, Leg Gears, Accessoires, which are things like Weapons that you can upgrade by Level, which give you more Base DEF, Stamina and EM and add new Equipment based Side Effects, which can change how you play Characters and rebalance them.
MHY has wasted 4 years of Character Progression Potential and the thigns I mentioned so far, are just the tip of an iceberg of what MHY could do all, to give all Characters more meaningful Character Progression, to the point that the whole Game feeals totally different on a much higher new Status Quo, than ever before.
Because raising just some Stat points only from 10 Levels more would be very cheap n boring, and would lead only into a massive Shitstorm, but if MHY adds a ton of interesting Character Progression to the game, that is linked to the Cap Increase, to motivate players to farm for all the new stuff that is there to do, to see how your Characters evolve further way beyond their current boring simple minded versions.
I'm an endgame player (two years, AR60 und WL8). All the characters I use are Lv.90 with Lv.90 weapons. Their (important) talents are raised to Lv.9 (or 12 with cons and a few are crowned). All of them also have artefacts (more or less good ones). I'm not wiriting all that to show off, BUT just to ask: WHERE is the point in this? I can clear everything comfortably and I honestly don't think I want to farm dozens of boss drops again for a little more dmg I don't need.
HOWEVER if they introduce new boss materials (for example, special boss drops from the dragons in Natlan), I would be so in!!! I have A LOT of mora and A LOT of exp books in my inventory anyway! 😂
I would only want the level cap to increase to 100 if level 100 gave characters a new ability instead of just more stats and talent levels.
I doubt we'd get +2 Talent Levels unlocked with Level 100, since Lv.14-15 were only calculated for those old events where certain talent levels could receive a temporary boost, which we haven't had in literal years – I think the last time a Talent Lv. buff was available was the "Labyrinth Warriors" event way back in Inazuma.
Rather, my guess would be that reaching level 100 instead increases the remaining Talent that isn't subsidized by constellations by +3, which is most characters' normal attack. But I HOPE that this may also unlock a new passive talent, which would be a prime opportunity to boost some of the more outdated characters on the roster. All of this could be gated behind one last unlock, possibly courtesy of a unique item for the specific character to introduce appropriate boosts only when the time is right, or it could take one more crown. And then the character screen will have a golden crown icon on a fully-maxed character, and mybe even a golden frame when displayed on the profile.
But in general, I want miHoYo to give characters with abnormal stat scaling that same scaling on their goddamn normal attacks. It's fine for characters like Itto who gain a boosted infusion, but Candace, Yunjin, Gorou, Chiori, and all those others just suffer from an entire 30% of their kit wasted.
Idk why even you make mistakes like this. Increase talent for 2 more level isn't the most logical guess and still everyone saying this. Doesn't ppl think before saying or just bcuz theybsee/heard something they automatically repeat it? The lvl 15 is max lvl for talents, but if lvl 100 make you can lvl up 2 more lvl your talents so what about char that have passive that could increase a talent lvl??? So most logical guess is we get 1 more lvl talent for lvling up and max would be 14 then plus some char passive you could reach talent lvl 15

Ascension boss drops are expensice because ypu get 2 or 3 whereas in hsr it takes max of 7 runs and its 30 tbp to do one round
I would be much happier if levels 1-3 required T1 Books, 4-7 required T2 books, and 8-12 required T3 books with Level 12 requiring the Crown of Insight, that would make more Sense to me, and it would make the Constellations feel impactful by Maxing out the Talents to Level 15, to this end I wouldn’t mind if they refunded all Talent progress so players can benefit from the new system…

So boring if lv 100 increase a little dmg with a ton of resources to use. Hoyoverse sure provides some special skill or accession for lv 100.
I really feel lvl 100 will be coming in Natlan so i've been saving up periodically boss materials and talents for my 4 mains who must be maxed at all costs :'3
if this happens, they NEED to increase monster/boss/domain drops the higher your AR. i was able to get 2 boss mats at AR 15, why only 2 at AR 60 still??
