  1. Lets talk, what do you think about 1.6? Regardless of all of the criticism, I am excited for that new archon quest and an anemo focused spiral abyss. From what I've heard, it does look like the new area is temporary. If that's true, then I'm going to be frustrated about it, considering that they're going to have to tackle mobile storage eventually anyways (with there being 7 nations and all).

The RNG aspect of artifacts and the low chance of chunks coming from level 80+ bosses is a real pain, like if I'm at WL6, bosses should be dropping chunks (I noticed this in WL5, bosses seemed to stop giving chunks for up to a week or more) more often. I also wish the resin regen/cap was greater, and the timers for regional specialties were shorter.
    I would also like the magical chunks not cost me ADV exp when made into weapon-leveling crystals, at lower ARs it's likely more helpful, but by AR40 (and maybe earlier), I need as much time between rank ups to maximize my time to train my characters and get the right artifacts. I don't even do daily commissions anymore and haven't for months, so few rewards for the ADV exp.
    And if they are saying it will take them so long to finish things, they need more employees to get content created, tested and released. They likely won't hire more people but that is a very effective way of shrinking your timelines as long as you are clear on what you want done.
    On a side note: Anyone have any sort of confirmation regarding that claim The Chasm has been finished for awhile but the devs haven't released it because they don't know how to balance Dendro?

One of the ways I think they can address burnout is by addressing the resin gated materials by either increasing the opportunities to gather these materials or adding them to daily and event rewards. For me, one of the major factors for burnout at the moment is bad rng. For the first example, they can add sigils to daily rewards and add materials like artifacts and ascension items to the souvenir shops. We don't need too much, maybe just enough to raise two artifacts to +20 per day or every two days idk. Or they can add artifacts to the pool of event rewards they have so if we don't have consistency, we can have small bursts of huge amounts of progress. Endgame is a complete crawl and will continue to be if they can't add some consistency to the game.

I think MiHoyo made a huge mistake, the content the can make perm is very limtied due to the fact that they made the game for mobile devices too. they are thinking ahead, they cannot add perm stuff from events if they still have a long way to go with the archon quests, maps, characters, probably new elements besides dendro, future mechanics to make our old units on pair to the new ones, etc (if you've every played another gacha you know that's a common thing). If they were to constantly add perm content, the game would end up being 80gbs to say, which is totally fine for pc and console players, but they are also thinking about the mobile public. The game got so popular not only because it's good but because it's accesible, its f2p and for mobile devices, basically everyone can play, but the same strategy that got the game this popular is the same strategy that's holding it back at this point

  5. I think Genshin should put out the past temporary events as a kind of DLC so you can download them as you please and play and manage your storage. This will be helpful for both PC and Mobile players imo and add a ton of content to the game.

  6. I finally got Zhongli from his rerun banner and I think I am done with the game. I got all the characters I wanted and can't be bothered with the upcoming characters. Exploring felt unnecessary which was what hooked me into this game in the first place. It was a super fun ride. Hope to come back someday and I hope the best for the game and its players.

  7. I hate this arguement of if u hate certain things in a game quit it casual new palyers say the same in Warframe and guess what vets left and now the casuals that reached that endgame are now in the same loop we were expect im not palying Wf that much anymore.
    Im just saying there is no point of this arguement cuz the players should not defend lazy, bad, predatory game design just because they didnt reach the point of the game were they will and no joke these players will reach that point too but they are delusional about the game's problems cuz what ever reason realy.

  8. Honestly I hardly disagree with you. Especially if you are an old player since release you should know really well that the effort for playing genshin is not more than 1h a day. Abyss can be easily cleared full 36 star with all four stars char with low or zero constellations, the player just need to learn the basic mechanics to do it.
    Also after a decade of playing gacha games I think that genshin is one of the most relaxing gacha to play where you can easily do your things without missing out a ton of stuff, of course getting the events rewards is important and if you don't want to keep following the rythm of the game you just miss out something that becames a reward for the people that like to stay consistent.

    That said I would really like to get a PvP non ranked setup mode. What I mean with this? I would like to set up a 1v1 or just a tourney with friend where the creator of the lobby can set up the characters with equal stats and then the players can choose the team to use to fight. It could be different thing from easy minigames to hard fights 1 team Vs another.

  9. the thing with temporary content is the file size because its on all platforms the file size has to be manageable, console and pc players are being limited by the limitations of phone.

  10. just don't play too much. despite the looks, genshin is not designed to be played like those offline AAA games. resin is very limited for a reason : so that you don't get that burnout. i only play genshin for like less than 1 hour a day when there's no new content (on AR56 now, almost all characters are on level 70-80+). non-permanent events only need like 10-30 minutes a day to complete, and you won't miss anything (except a few exclusive weapons and namecards that you won't really use) if you decided not to participate, because there will always be other events on the next patch with the same rewards. just play on your own pace. it's completely fine.

  12. I agree with what you're saying and I enjoy the game as well. A piece of advice I'd give to anyone willing to take it, is to find another game to play. Something you can play while you're waiting for new content or after you've finished your "chores" for the day. I'll play games like lol or ff. Or even watch anime or something 😂

  13. pretty much what a structure of a gacha system is. make the players keep returning to the game to make it a part of their daily lives. that's why energy/resin exists and why limited events exists.

  15. I'm a super casual player. My biggest "achievement" was getting Rosaria, Zhongli and the new fire girl super easily. I love the game play but I've always played MMORPG casually, in casual guilds, doing quests once 1 week, staying at a low level, never really reaching endgame. Or when I did I would create a new char to start over. I don't like "endgame", I like to see the evolution of my character.

    So I'm still ar35 and I didn't even try spiral abyss that much. But I don't invest time or money because I like things to be permanent. FOMO doesn't work with me, on the contrary. And gachas are not my thing either, I prefer to farm through constant grind. So if we could farm constellation shards, even if if took 200 shards to have 1 c, even if it was a bit random, I would play everyday. I didn't do the event for a free Diona, I also missed my free Fischl back then. Make those event permanent and let me grind them at my pace. Even if it will take me 6 months to unlock them, let me do it and I'll pay A LOT for this game which has amazing potential.

    But no, it's really just a gacha in MMORPG clothings.

    EDIT: yes I lied I wouldn't pay a lot compared to whales. I meant a reasonable amount for a AAA game, even a subscription based one. But obviously it's a mere peanut to the thousand of grands 1 person could dish out every month. Their business strategy makes sense. I just have to admit I'll be forever f2p. Like for other gachas, our voice will never matter.

  16. Yeah what you say is true. The feeling I had for the game when I first started is different from where I am now. Exploration when I first started the game back in November was a blast and felt like I was playing an improved version of Breath of the Wild. Right now for me, feels like a Triple A Gacha game. The biggest complaint I have for the game though is the constellation system. Even from day 1, the system is incredibly horrible and puts most gacha games to shame considering the rate of getting 5 characters. If the system were like Arknights where getting a dupe only gave minor buffs, it wouldn't be so bad; however, some constellations do make a significant difference.

  17. I don’t mind the continuous grind, since that is a part of the game. But the fact that there is a limit to how much you can do in one day, it feels like they’re trying to limit what you can do, while not giving you enough rewards for your efforts. Especially when the chances to get what you want is so low that you just end up grinding over and over again.

    the "Give A Man A Fish" Game Design.

    Mihoyo keeps giving us fish and leaves us with nothing once we're done with it. We complain once we're hungry, and then they give us another fish that's different in taste and color.

    Other Open World titles TEACHES us how to fish. We pay them and we're taught how to get the same exact fish, with the same color, same flavor, from the same pond. BUT. We can re-experience the activity at our own pace whenever we want.

Aas a player who devotes his time for more than 4 to 8 hours in genshin for almost everyday since release, I have two accounts btw and oh boy both of my accounts are stacked with 10 5 stars on both accounts. I am addicted to this game and I am a mixed between playing this game for the fun of it, like collecting waifus and also a competitive player who wants to beat every single content in the game consistently. I must admit since the 1.3 I've been trying to force myself to enjoy genshin, forcing myself knowing there's no content for me to do other than kill mobs in the overworld because I already used up all my resin. I always find some way to entertain myself to do so. I've been feeling more and more demotivated when I see the upcoming updates, specially the leaks that after 1.4 till recently 1.6 is nothing but a filler saga of nothing but a minigames copied straight out of other games. Other people might enjoy this, I dont have any problems with that, its just that since the start of the game, theres no really permanent content release, no I dont consider dragonspine as a permanent content, what I mean is that a challanging content like the abyss that players can gowhere they can use their artifacts that they grinded for their characters to be strong. Abyss is the only content in the game that we can test our characters damage, where we can showcase our weapons and grinded artifacts, the event where you can adjust the difficulty is always only a event thing so that does not count. Honestly the genshin devs should learn a thing or two from the honkai devs who made so many permanent content where we can showcase our characters power, event wise honkai has events that is not perfect but most of them is all about combat and most of it is original content, while genshin is just copy pasting every single games they find and make it a minigame in a event where its going to go away once the event is done. I am coming back to honkai since I left the game like form 7 months already and I am not quitting genshin by any means, Im just saying people should find other games to play other than genshin because genshin isnt meant to be played hours and hours. I am a endgame player and I dont see myself quitting, I'll still stick with my 4 hours to maybe 8 hours but reducing it to 5 hours maximum. Been lazing out on genshin lightly because I see no motivation currently until inazuma comes.

  20. 10 years of content ??? I might be done with game within 6 months, probably. I don't want to just do artifact domains everyday in hopes of getting good artifact for that many time.

  21. honestly for me personally, i haven't invested much money in this game so i don't take it too seriously. i love the game but the only way ill continue to love the game is by playing it casually. i definitely cant speak for those who have invested a lot of money. but you're right, i agree with what you said. it has a massive identity crisis imo

  22. all i want is for mihoyo to increase the amount of resins to spend 160 is not enough!! i need to ascend characters that would be bosses, talents, their artifacts!!
    god farming for artifacts isnt even easy when all i get are shitty def or hp artifacts 😭😭😭😭 its painful

  23. Since you mentioned Witcher 3, i suggest that they make a permanent mini game like gwent to genshin where we can collect cards and battle npc and other players. Since teyvat already have regional factions and the abyss faction, mihoyo just need to think about the mechanics.

  25. The real problem is artifact rng. I have been farming the new artifact domain since its release using almost all resins I could. I only got 1 crit rate pale flame helm with all defensive substats
