I like these topics.
That said, I think Hoyoverse does a better job in creating a hard "science magic" or "quantum-spiritual" system for it's titles than others like the MCU, which became random soft-magic trash after Endgame.
I also played Honkai for years, and you can see that despite the technobabble , it's well-written and well-thought of techno-babble.
I have a theory that the reason why Hoyoverse is keeping consistency in their quantum-spiritual/technomaguc systems is because they will have a grand crossover game that will take place across the whole of Quantum-Imaginary Space and the different worlds (games) that it holds, something like what Capcom has done or Dissidia but with a grander attempt.
There's a better way to call those to elements – quantum and imaginary

Here is a theory that I have had for some time now and I will share it with you. That one of the missing elements has been present in the game since the very beginning. And itās one that the traveler has had since we first started playing as them. This also links in with the TCG mini game. And that is the traveler has the Omni element. Just like in TCG the Omni element can copy any other element which is why he can gain the element of what ever statue of the seven he/she touches. And if you look back at the opening of the game when you first start playing there are parts of the travelerās outfit that are growing white but that changes the your character first touches a statue of the seven gaining that element for the first time. This is just my theory about this.

This dude's video feels like the manifestation of my thoughts trying to explain how hoyoverse operates in terms of lore. I very mich enjoyed it. The editing is funny too.
Given the quality of Genshin's writing which is more so written by elementary school kids, I don't think they have given this much thought to this game or the lore.

Wouldn't this explain why the MC is developing all the elements of Teyvat? To ultimately achieve their forsaken power of Light as was suggested during that same Dainsleif Story Quest when it showed that our sibling apparently has her original powers back? Not sure but when you think about it the MC is actually going to be much stronger when his original Power is restored and will be refracted through all the elements he's achieved during his journey, like light turned into a rainbow, lol. His Sister even wielded her original sword!!! These two "Forces" Light and Darkness isn't considered elements but is a 'Source' of all the elements, we also got a taste of the Light Power during one of the quests a year or so back when we had to collect these type of "Light" sigils remember?

Theres is logically Light and Dark and they have to exist, or there would simply be no day and night in this world …this is no rocket science … the question is only, why doesnt MHY call them together with the other 7 lesser Elements of Nature, same as much as there has to be the element of Time and Space (Void), because they are the natural elements of everything that exists and everything ultimatively gets affected by these physical laws, that are the highest elements, which is why you can simplify them as – you guess it – "Higher Elements", because they stand above everything else.
Time has its effect on everything. A fire will end over time.. water will dry over time, earth will become dust over time, wind just moves with time, ice melts over time, lightnings vanish with time ect. pp. light shines with time, darkness swallows time (and space) (black holes, even light cant escape them over time)
This is also why Time (Clock), Space (Cup) , Life (Flower), Death (Feather) and lastly Spirit (Logos/Crown) are the 5 representative Higher Elements of the 5 Artefacts we equip that then in themself again represent the 4 Shades and the Primordial one.
However, regarding the matter of Elements in the game, the bigger question should be, how many more "playable" Elements should be there in Genshin..and honestly the answer is also 2, namely Light and Dark… the Abyss represents basically the Element of Darkness, Dainsleif is the best example for that and the abyss' powers of teleportation, by swallowing space over time to port themself with their created dark wormholes from A to B.
Both would make good concepts for new interesting playable characters and reactions….
Quantum and Imaginary are just other terms for basically Space and Spirit … English people really like to rename everythign with silly synonyms, just to make it sound like something totally new and different … aside of the fact that it are terms from a completely different game. that genshin has only a very very very thin connection with yet.
So in other words, they are already part of the game lore, they don't need to be "added" at all anymore … but Light and Dark do need, they are lesser natural Elements just like Fire, Ice or Lightning, without them can't Life exist, and if Life doesnt exist, then also Death can't exist..so its the most logical thing that Light and Dark have to become Elements in Genshin and there are already signs of its existance.
In Enkanomiya exists proofs, that this was basically long ago the realm of Light, because it was the only place in the whole game so far, that enabled us to collect "Light Sigils" so far, even it weren't sigils that worked like usual sigils at that point, like a currency, but the sheer fact that there exist Light Sigils in this game, means, that light in itself must exist as Element.
When there is Light, then there is logically also Dark, and that Dark Realm is Khaen'Ria…
The absolute real important question in the end is only – what happened to the original Archons of Light and Dark, did they eventually die in the Archon's War?? Maybe already earlier? or are they even eventually still alive somewhere?…
Genshin treats these elements since day 1, as if some kind of force tries to wipe them out of history, to the point, that even we players should believe in it, that there exist "only" 7 natural lesser elements, while the whole story of genshin resembles 1 sibling following the path of light, by basically regaining all colors of the rainbow elements, untikl all got collected and become the prism of our power that we lost, when we came to Teyvat…while the other sibling follows the path of the abyss, becoming our dark counterpart..
Wouldnt be surprised of MHH follows all the time the story of slowly turning the MCs into new Archons of Light and Dark in regard of power at least compared to the other existign Archons that we could in theory claim to be these roles, if we would wanted that.
That MHY naturally has so far no intentions of adding more Elements to the game, is simply put, logical, because they don#t make themself just more effort, than neccesessary as long theire isn#t for some kidn of feature the right "time" to add it…
its the same with thinks like Diving with in a few hours onwards.. they coudl have added this feature already alot earlier with 2.0 basically, but they waited extra for it to come up with it now with 4.0, in order to make it Fontaines special content feature, for more impact of the feature to have in the game …
The same was with dendro …an element that in theory should have been inside the game from day one , but instead MHY kept it extra back, in order to add it first with Sumeru, so that Dendro would have by then more impact to the game.
The same thing we can expect with things like gettign the elements of Light and Dark added..very likely way past the patch number of 7.x
i don#t expect these elements to become added, until we have explored first all of Teyvat and receined first all of our original powers, to awaken back our true powers that we had, before coming to teyvat and gettign attacked by the unknown goddes, that is rumored to be Asmoday and as such another Archon/Celestial God and if I had to guess, an Archon of one of the Higher Elements, so basically the Avatar of one of the Four Shades..and due to her looking like Kiana, the Herrscher of Void, its basically only logical, that shes the Archon/Avatar of Space (Void) to make the connection to honkai perfect…because every Archon Character and few others are by design relatives of a Character from Honkai Impact by inspiration so far.

A couple things to note is that Hoyoverse Confirmed that Genshin and the Honkai universe āHonkaiverseā are connected as the Genshin world is a leaf on the imaginary tree like hi3 and hsr. Also they did confirm that Dainsleif would be playable in the future.

At the point of writing this, im not sure if youāve came to this same theory but i was thinkingā¦ what if dainslif is khanriāahs archon? He doesnāt have a vision on him, yet still has powers. Granted this theory would have to mean theres at least one more element and if youāre correct then thereās definitely a non zero chance he was lying about the state of his immortality and that he IS an archon. (Probably not though, im sure thereās evidence against my theory)
