  1. Just came back to playing Genshin, cuz of Fontaine!
I still have Enkanomiya, Chasm and the entire Sumeru region to explore.
Thank goodness for the multi-layered maps, it will make exploring so much easier.
I'll wait for that feature so that I could explore without getting lost exploring, especially in Sumeru. I wonder how many primos I'll have once I am done.

  2. I'm actually glad they are making the underwater bright and friendly. I have a fear of the deep sea which is why i usually hate underwater content in games. That and the oxygen bar. im glad genshin it doing away with both of those

  3. Oh my good lord. Dawei sold underwater exploration as new and innovative content. IS THERE ANYTHING ELSE? BETTER DOMAINS? ROGUE-LIKE SHIT? STAMINA UPGRADES? LESS BULLET-SPONGY ENEMIES?
How is underwater exploration their biggest selling-point here? Like, yeah, it looks nice and all. But it's not the pinnacle of gameplay since the numerous games that created water levels DECADES ago. Or is the Genshin community just considered so simple-minded that this is supposed to be a hype moment?

  4. Adding the area/story skip actually changes everything. As someone that only played the first 4 patches of Genshin everytime I wanted to come back the huge amount of filler and progress id have to go through made me decide against it. But with the new skip in place I could just start playing the new (and better) content right away.

  5. Unfortunately I am not excited for Fontaine. Seems like they are doubling down on casual play. Hopefully it will not be the worst region they release. For me, Inazuma was by far the best as an overall package so far. It had the best bosses, best puzzles, and best overall combat experience. Side stories were also better.

  6. Yeah I am super pumped. Looking forward to the new underground map system and camera improvements. I watched the whole special program and my favorite was the incredible music at the end.

  7. Multi-layered maps might be the things that finally get me to explore Sumeru as completely as I did all previous regions. It was just too frustrating knowing theres something under you, but you don't even know how to get there.

  8. Fontaine is decent. doesn't actually fix any of the problem genshin has its just going to be 1 weeks of content with a shit story and only the characters being somewhat entertaining wich is behind a pay wall so its just more filler content tbh
