Most people get Shenhe for their Ayaka. I got mine for my teapot. We are NOT the same.
For me pulling shenhe is like giving Ganyu her long needed sister, they even split the same outfit xD. The fact that shenhe boosts melt Ganyu’s ceiling even further is just the cherry on top
Okay but how does that explain Hoyo rerunning her now then? You mentioned that 'it doesn't matter when people pull for her, the money will go into their pockets eventually' 8:18. Wouldnt it then be more financially profitable for them to rerun a character with established strength right now instead of Shenhe, then rerun Shenhe when more immediately 'desirable' (when more Cryo units are released) in the future?
By your logic, rerunning Shenhe now AND in the future (lets say Schezhnaya) will bring in similar $$$ as rerunning her solely in the future, as people who didn't pull for her this time will pull for her next time; and those who pulled for her now (that are not gigawhales) won't pull for her in the future. (as per your Yae Miko example).
By this logic Shenhe occupying a banner spot is financially undesirable for Hoyo as another more immediately 'profitable' character would make more sales for sure. (Hell, even if they reran Kazuha again right now, for example).
I have Ayaka and Ganyu but the number one reason I got Shenhe (C1 purely by luck) is because she came with 4 stars I wanted and her hip windows.
I’m getting C6 Shenhe for my C6 Ayaka. I’m an ayaka and overall cryo main(Ive even built Aloy lol), but I was in the hospital (heart problems) for months and Shenhe’s release fell into those months, so I couldn’t get her. Can’t let her go this time. She’s going to keep getting better as the game goes on 💙❄️

This game isn’t hard. Pull for the characters you want. F2P and low spenders can beat abyss (if you even want to) With 4 star characters and a random 5 star. There’s no end game. Idk what all the fuss is about. Shenhe is a great unit if you like cryo dps which we will get more of over time. After we’re done with everything all we do is collect mint and sweet flower anyway.

Your absoluutly right. This is a better video than the previous one you made about shenhe. But as a montly pass, moon card guy. I havent used dendro at all. I'm still farming for previous characters and overall without dendro a lot of sumeru's characters fall off quickly. Yes without dendro the spiral abyss wasnt easy. But this will change in the future. Knowing Mihoyo by now i'm afraid your chat in the stream video was right and we are going to see an abandonment of the dendro element in the near future. I could potentially pull for nahida and have all my dendro needs met. But i still use old teams to get through the content. And i have decided to take you up on your horizontal vs vertical build video. Where i have decided to just skip dendro all together and make the best of what i have and make it better. Meaning i really want shenhe. Meaning i want more pyro units besides xianling and bennet and i am also highly enticipation a cryo (hopefully tall women) catalyst dps for melt. Although i know that is still very far off.
If you main a cryo unit (or just really like Shenhe) get her. Not too complicated. If you don't like cryo dpses (and Shenhe herself.), then hold on before making a decision.

Here's another argument every one forgets. She will only be a "luxury" unit for so long until you already have two full teams built or at least have the units you need. From that moment the concept of "Luxury" units ceases to exist. If you keep avoiding the character then it'll be solely on you.
I'm F2P w mistsplitter ayaka Should I pull?
Back when Shenhe first came out, I didn't have Ayaka yet. Nor do I have Ganyu still. But now that I have Ayaka, Shenhe will be joining my team since I just skipped Dehya and I have plenty of primos to spare.
With Shenhe, you can finally use Qiqi for energy…if you know you know
My only regret is skipping Shenhe for losing Yae Miko 50/50

Shenhe's C6 is just broken… how unfortunate it is not an early constellation, but at least it justifies the value (i.e. making any Cryo NA/CA dmg dealer busted).
Anyway, the idea of pulling for one constellation at a time to have her C6 when the Cryo Archon gets released is not very appealing, as the meta already shifted towards quickbloom and reverse-melt can't be consistently triggered besides Ganyu's CA, and upcoming characters might be meta-defining as well – that is, unless Hoyo decides to have Dehya being the new standard…
To be honest, I'm pulling for her just because she's pretty and I like her kit. I don't really follow the meta and don't really care for doing lots of damage, I just wanna have her just because I like her backstory and I think she'll be nice to have on my team of my favourite characters. I'm just having fun using the characters I like lol.
I want to pair Shenhe with Layla
Supports are usually a good investment and Shenhe's buff is very noticeable. She was the first 5* I pulled as a newbie not realizing she was a dedicated support and couldn't be leveled forever, so at first, I regretted her, until I finally got to Enkanomiya and got Ayaka and Kokomi along the way. She's great and because she's a support, she's kind of future proof because as they add more cryo DPS options, she's very unlikely to be replaced, she's almost guaranteed to just get better as stronger cryo units come out.
I feel like, when wondering who to pull for, almost always, prioritizing supports is the way to go.
If you don't have Ayaka or care for cryo like that, then skip but if your DPS is cryo, you can't go wrong because she's unlikely to lose value going forward.

I'm a geo/electro main but my low investment cryo teams do whale damage, purely because of shenhe

I feel like people sleep on how much she buffs just regular cyro units. In some ways I think she is more useful than Ayaka and Ganyu because she can make any cyro character hit hard. You can make Diona hit hard who does no damage. But she does make the hard hitting ones hit harder like killing bosses floor 12 with one burst rotation

Is Shenhe good for Ganyu for a melt team or only possible for Freeze?
What's better: a cryo unit like Faruzan/Gorou/Sara C6 or a Shenhe? And do you think we'll ever get a cryo crit damage buffer as well?

She has a passive that give bonus even if caractere is not cryo… And many don’t see that. by the way shenhe has a lot of chance to get better and better in the future 😉 hoyoverse can create a cryo candace or cryo xingqui in the future…
Greatly overstating Shenhe's pull value. She does not work well with Ganyu. She takes up a whole team slot (where you could've instead put those primos into a 5* weapon or constellations on Ayaka, or just save). So yes she does get better with more cryo units to buff but, by small percentages because we still have to ask if she buffs that character enough to deserve a team slot. Role consolidation also matters and Shenhe ONLY does 1 thing. And as many people including Walrus have said, Shenhe buffs your dmg past the point of it being necessary.
