  1. i do hope they release characters that don't mimic the shogun because maybe thoma not mimicking the shogun's fighting patterns could be because of that.

bc understandably enough, the characters that mimic raiden's attack patterns were raised clans from the raiden gokaden or are clans with the tri-commissions. the kaedeharas and kamisatos would mimic the shogun's style because that's almost like a family legacy (which is why the kamisatos have their own style and, like someone pointed out in the comments, kazuha's bladework is reminiscent to bladesmiths testing the strength of the blade).

even the kukis, though they're more associated to serving the sacred sakura, would have enough prestige to ensure shinobu was taught basic raiden's moveset. this is comparable to how, in-lore, kujou sara is technically so skilled with a blade that she could beat kazuha's friend in a duel before the throne.

  2. As someone who actually (only) use all the sword character, inazuma's character are very much accurate with Japanese handle their sword, like when it's only 1 sided blade, the blade is facing upward and etc. Same goes with sumeru, where the gril have their movement kinda like a sword dance (layla kinda close) while alhaitham getting dual sword. Oh gosh– I love genshin sword <3 I have no regret playing day 1 and thinking of only using sword characters

  3. another interesting fact, ayaka's normal attack "kabuki" is named after japanese drama performed with highly stylized singing and dancing, makes sense since ayaka is a dancer. ayato's normal attack marobashi is a philosophical term derived from japanese martial arts like kendo meaning "without form" which also fits since hes a hydro character
