I'm all for them changing electro, but I just can't imagine a overly useful change.
The issues amount to low dmg reactions and or near useless reaction effects.
Currently Electro characters either have good multipliers or some powerful support ability, so any change could make them broken or equal to the cryo dps gods.
So Mihoyo will have a hard time while attempting to balance, especially with dendro still not out yet.
This will happen only when people stop sugarcoating everything as "fine" bla bla bla
Address the problems; get them fixed that's the best way

I don't think they will change overload and its mechanics. The exploding thing is too thematic and used all over the game's world interactions (destroying rocks and mining). I think if they buff super conduct to also reduce electro resistance, the element would be saved. It's also the simplest way to do it.
Easiest Electro-Buff would probably be, if the Resonance would give 25% ER and (probably) 15% Burst Damage. Instead of the current effect.
You stun by attacking weak points. thats it. sad
I think a cool electro resonance buff would be attack speed and crit damage increase; that'd be a great combo for the electro characters I've used, unique and worthwhile while not being overpowered, and those are kinda the classic anime lightning traits – fast, and devastating when they hit (e.g. the classic Kakashi lightning blade/Sasuke Chidori kinda stuff).
Also, yeah, I've always been irritated by the fact that electro-charged totally tasers our characters into being hardly able to move, but the enemies just take a little extra damage and shrug it off.

They could add Stun/Slow/Paralyze/or have enemies affected by electro magnetised/immobilized to each other for either reactions or resonance
Or if we go hard on the battery idea, electro resonance could reduce skill and burst cd by 30 – 40% or have it do passive energy regen over time

I always wondered that same thing about stun lmao. I thought I was just missing something but I have no idea what stun is and I agree it certainly doesn't seem like electro charged causes the jitter to enemies that it does us. At first I thought maybe zhong li ult was the stun but the description says petrification so I am not sure lol.
Electro resonance should give 1 elemental orb every 3 seconds for doing an electro reaction. This is basically a Favonius weapon effect but it does not rely on crits, and way better than flat ER% gain, and it helps the whole team. Electro reactions should stun enemies, literally causing their movement speed to slow or stop for a second after the electro reaction is done. In addition, all electro reactions should do a electro res shred by 40%. This is still weaker than Pyro and Cryo, however the electro reactions will offer a mix of utility and damage just like Swirl.
And Electro should not remove the initial aura on an enemy, if it supposed to be supportive. Just like anemo status is on an enemy affected by Pyro

I don't like the resonance. Especially because energy recharge is not a problem anymore with Baal and electro traveler.

We gotta talk about hydro as well. Aside from their elemental reactions, it's just horrible. Resonance sucks a LOT, even worse than electro. And many hydro characters applies the wet status on themselves for no reason. It's basically a debuff for no reason.
Electro resonance is 2000x better than hydro resonance tho.

This made me realize why my Geo x Electro team works.
Both elements are soloists. They don't care about reactions, and they don't play well with others.
Combining the two, ya have high dmg multipliers and massive ult uptime.
Theorycrafters and meta players high recommend stayin' away from this set up, but in my case it's pretty fun.
how bout the resonance gives elemental dmg like 5% and 5% attack speed for every elemental particle max stack 5 and electric is about speed so i think it should match and they should change overload like shred 20% of def and even if it knocks them its ok because its ok on boss
I don't like the idea of electro reaction stunning or shredding def etc because it wouldn't make electro reaction feel more powerful (like melt or vaporize) but instead make it so you feel like you need to slap in one electro char in every comp as a support to keep the buff/debuff up.
I just started playing again and i only have a 5 star ayaka as main dps and i just got raiden shogun, and they suck together :'c
Maybe they should make superconduct give 15-20% defense reduction.

What makes no sense to me is it’s called “superconduct” which in reality a superconductor is a material with a special property where at a certain critical low temperature the material suddenly has zero resistance to electrical charge so surely, SURELY superconduct should at least ALSO decrease electro damage resistance?!
