Genshin Impact just got SLAMMED with a $20 million fine, and this could be the END of FREE-TO-PLAY gaming as we know it! Stricter spending limits, age restrictions, and major gameplay changes are coming. Will Genshin Impact survive?

I'm completely, and when I did spend money a few times (money racking almost ~$100 ish over time) I always ask my parents if I can spe d mo ey in ingame currencies
I don't think it's crazy, because in what world it's normal for little kids to buy things in online games, and in what world kids even can play this game, it is literally pegi 12, so if kids below 12 play it and spend money, then we should start from not letting them in, if kids from 12-16 buy stuff, then it's their parents fault, not mine nor Hoyoverse's
Crazy is the US law here only.
F2P:"I do not have such weaknesses"
I'm not letting my sister play this game until she's 16, she's seen me play genshin a couple times now.
Even if she has to wait like 4 years, I don't want her getting addicted to this game. I've already warned her about the dangers.
Its basically gambling for kids, stricter rules need to be applied to hold that greedy company accountable
this is definitely not hoyos fault, its the parents fault, parenting is necessary if you want your child to not spend money on pixels.
The kids are spending money on genshin without their parents knowing? Sounds like a parent issue
Yeah sure blame the company because parents don't know how to raise their kids
Eh 20 mil is like pocket change to them 💀 all they gotta do is add a extra button or a warning asking if the person buying stuff is of age like every other game with lootboxes or gatcha
Yo if this ruins f2p chances, im quitting. Its already bad enough that f2p players dont get it easy, now they wanna make the chances even worse? Thats absurd
Wait for real? I was disguising this with another person in a youtube comment just 2 days ago. This would make the game so so much better now that children dont ruin it
I mean.. its not the game fault..🤔 Its just people that stupid and born with pop not brain
just a 24H firefly banner makes more than 20mil
What about other games other than Genshin??
What do you mean ez pulls😐
Pathetic kids learn to farm 😞
I'm f2p lol this had no impact on me
Hmmm. This shouldn't be a problem?
I mean. Why would you give your credit card info to a kid atleast 15 years old?
Yeah, anyone under 16 ALREADY had to get permission from their parents to spend real money lol cause their parents had to give it to them! It's impossible for most kids to get any kid of an account that allows you to use a card to spend money from a bank account, and if the parents allow them that kind of privilege then the blame is on the parents and not hoyo.
What is this fake drama
Live Laugh F2P
I think because i saw here like a boy used his parents/ grandparents money that was supposed to be used for his sick little sister (not sure)
The US is a joke of a country
Who pulled a qiqi
Kinda clear who's under 16 here. Just because it's the parents' mistake for letting a kid have access to be able to spend their money doesnt mean hoyo SHOULDNT implement prevention methods. One of the major implications i constantly had to be ready to explain away for my computer class in high school was ETHICS. That means things like what you did to maintain objective good in your program. Its objectively bad to have a way for a CHILD to blow HUNDREDS of parents dollars on a game without parent knowledge
its not fair but its also fair bc imagine if your 14 year old uses your card to buy 1000$ worth of primos
Im sorry… "easy" character pulls??
I want to sue the company that did that
