Sandrone, also known as the “Marionette,” is ranked 7th among the Eleven Fatui Harbingers.

We first saw her in the A Winter Night’s Lazzo trailer, where she appeared with a huge robot, which seems to be a puppet. This isn’t surprising considering that Sandrone is believed to be the one who created Katheryne. Yes, you heard that right.

There’s a popular fan theory in the Genshin community suggesting that Sandrone may have created the various Katheryne NPCs found in the Adventurers’ Guilds across Teyvat.

Have you ever noticed that Katheryne occasionally says “rebooting” or “error”? Why would a real person say something like that? This hints that she’s actually a puppet. And who specializes in puppets? It’s Sandrone.

Since Sandrone is all about mechanics and puppets, there was speculation that she would appear in Fontaine. Unfortunately, this didn’t happen.

Both Tartaglia and Wanderer mention that Sandrone is always deeply focused on her research. She has a “terrible personality” and often glares at Tartaglia, making him wonder if he unknowingly upset her. I have a theory on this, which will make sense after we discuss her new personality info.

At Signora’s funeral, Sandrone mocks Pulcinella, Pantalone, and Arlecchino for their banter. Unlike the other Harbingers who close their eyes to pay their respects at Signora’s coffin, Sandrone does not.

  3. Yandere = skip. In my opinion, Yandere is one of the worst character types, they are repulsive from a moral point of view, and as characters, they are not interesting at all. And here is Yandere + hysterical 🤮. I hope they change her.And since she has already turned a person into a doll in Fontaine and does this constantly, she will not be a playful one.

  7. well on her levels calling it a puppet is a bit undermining Sandrone…. they are too real to the point that adventurer don't even know Kathryne is a robot. I think it's better call them Automatons instead of puppets

Nahida specifically called her "bionic puppet from Shneznaya" in the Sumeru Archon Quest and my hypopthesis is that not only Katherine, but all the Adventurers Guild was founded and funded by the shneznayan government and the Fatui. Come to think on all the intel Shneznaya could be gathering around all Teyvat just letting the adventurers of the guild doing their thing and collecting that valious info periodically through Katherine sending that to Sandrone or maybe another high rank. For what reason? We may know when we arrive there and discover why on Earth the Tsaritza is collecting the divine Gnosis.

  30. I mean, i figured that was what she was like. In a quest in fontain she did avenge a certain robot by cutting out the villains tongue and torturing him until his mind broke. It was shocking to see that she already got involved in the story and was THAT brutal.

Not yet confirmed, but it's been heavily implied that Sandrone is the big robot holding the marionette and is what eventually became of Alain Guillotin once he finished his research into transplanting consciousness into mechanical bodies. The marionette is supposedly based off of the appearance of his younger sister Mary-Ann after she was assumed dead following certain events within the remains of Elynas. Sandrone making puppets out of those dear to them would kind of check out if their identity does end up being Alain Guillotin. His own twisted logic would probably follow along the lines of giving someone a form of immortality by abandoning their flesh and gaining a mechanical body so that he wouldn't lose anyone dear to him again as he did with Mary-Ann.

    All speculation, but it's a theory that's fairly consistent with some established lore.
