Remember when I used to stream? Me neither. Anyway, here’s what I would have said on stream – if I streamed – but in a more coherent format, about the upcoming summer event patch and the brand new region of Natlan!
No timestamps, spoiler warnings, or citations this time. This is pure, unfiltered theorizing just like a stream. But without the streaming.
I should stream.

5:32 aussie here! it does sound like a digeridoo, i haven't seen many people talk about this so its nice to know that i'm not going insane. it's at the very beginning of the teaser if anybody wants to go look at it for themselves!
Signora's crimson witch form also has glowing red tattoos, and we still don't know the origin of liquid fire
I like the ring of fire mashup idea because I was lost on its theming with that digerydoo sounding instrument
I’m still reeling from 4.7 update and now 4.8 is right around the corner…
The culture purists are going to fume about this but I LOVE the idea of a Nation of War being inspired by cultures around the Ring of Fire. Such a thematically satisfying connection to draw.
There's an African loa named Ayida-Wedo that has some interesting lore that sounds a lot like what you're talking about. I remembered hearing about a rainbow serpent that's tied to Voudoun the African religion. Might also be an inspiration possibly?
I have a cracked theory, what if the reason why everyone ( fatui and natlanians more specifically) is preparing for war is because of the Heavenly Principles awakening very soon. I feel like that'll connect Liloupar's case with Theirs because the entire world is at peace (currently) WHILE the Heavenly Principles is sleeping.
1:12 kerning city detected
Omg yes, im also really hyped about Natlan and 4.8 territory
Shout out to the Kerning bgm ❤
maybe we will have to find their melanin?
Honestly can't wait to see a new video on the Hexenzirkel because Imaginarium Theater revealed quite a bit about them. There's also mention of one of them being the "first mayor" of Shneznaya and I assume that's Ivanovna.
I have a question, you said that so made scara with khanrian tech but I could have sworn you had said in a previous theory that ei learned to make puppets from miko who learned it from an adeptus and this adeptus was the same one that taught the samurai how to wield the elements without visions? Did the adeptus make the technique from khanrian tech?
Say it with me: MORE UNFILTERED BRAIN ROT! MORE UNFILTERED BRAIN ROT!
I can understand why people didn't like Natlan look, but, is there any region/culture/civilization living literally in ashes and lava near the volcano..? I don't think so
Summer events are essentially recap events before the story even starts lol…
13:53 This comment was a bit racist, don't you think?
Started watching you channel just before your "purple isn't a real colour" theory (I can't remember the actual title) and now to see those ideas kinda coming back into play is really nice
Amazing as always ash!
Yes ashikai, you should stream.
It isn't a genshin region without a giant Dragon somewhere xd
Genshin Impact Origami King
The colour theory cud work but i think the colour glow when thay are peace or friendship but since the Dragons are not at peace then natlen stars losing colour and elements
You gotta know Ashikai is one of the best theorist when even TECTONE says he enjoys her video
(Note: tectone is not a big fan of story and theories/speculation but still approves of Ashikai)
here for the lore brainrot. thankssss
I always thought the one ont benette nose is band aid. But it looks like it eas birthmark
What occupies me, is reason of why Ntlanians are so unenthusiastic about leaving their plains, and if, this have any connection with Natlan soils. According to Aztec creation myth, land was created out of Alligator-like creature (read as dragon) Cipactli via hands of Quetzalcoatl and Tezcalipoca(gods). To be fair, this is a common theme in many creations myths, but in regards of Natlan and its dragon connection, it might be actually relevant. Plus, not like we never had a land being made out of ancient remains before (Watatsumi).Locals of 5.0, might be physically or psychologically tied with their land, , or alike Azhdaha, absorbing energy from thous "dragon fossils". Thus unable or simple don't wanting to leave. This could also have a gameplay effect, similar to Fontain Arke system.Maybe new characters Saurian related power would be available only there.
And on the subject of Fountain, Egiria might have been not the only one who attempted to create a human -like form. What if current Tribes are descendants of human-dragon marriage. I also wonder, if Natlanians half dragon origin could be a reason for their Saurians ties and non vision elemental powers.
5:34 RING OF FIRE MENTIONED!?!?! 🔥🔥🔥🔥 U COOKED LORE
Wait what?? A theory where every Mondstadt character represents an important figure? Omg can someone please link me that video? I need to see that
As a Mexican-American, I am so excited to see Aztecan and Mayan references. I’m super hyped for Natlan. I got so tired of Fontaine. All the Rococo designs just became so samey to me. I’m more than ready to move on to something more mystical again!
Australia mentioned!
I'm gonna keep saying it but… Natlan looks like a Crash Bandicoot level 😭
Ashikainokonoko Koshitantan
IF Benny becomes related somewhat to this nation, I will be so happy
If Australia is included that explains why the start of the music in the trailer remined me of the didgeridoo
Talking about borrowing energy changing someone's marks colour the traveler has actually been doing this since 1.0!
Whenever the traveler resonates with an element they change the colour of some parts of their outfit
Ayyy Kerning City music!!
Natlan has been leaning more towards Aztec mythology so I wouldn't be surprised if the serpent is actually the god Quertzacoatl/Kukulkan who is portrayed as a colorful serpent too.
8:47 maybe Zhongli and Venti glow because they borrowed power from the dragons? The stolen authority they carried in the form of the gnosis? Of course, this doesn’t actually answer why they still glow after losing said gnosis. Gnosises. Gnosi? Anyways, my other theory is that they learned from the gnosis how to borrow from the Ley lines like dragons do and that would maybe explain why Ei and Nahida don’t glow, they weren’t actually in possession of their gnosis long enough to learn such things (although I can’t actually remember if Nahida’s gnosis was stored with her or not, but I’m guessing not). Doesn’t explain Xiao, but he does have that whole “dream eater” thing going on that’s never actually been explained.
The more I look at this, the less certain I am that it makes any sense.
Wait how did the last summer event tease Bed Time Story?
Why need to ask nilou? Just wondering I have left the game since before fountaine is introduced and is nilou from natlan? Considering as I remember shes kinda like from sumeru
The fact that the entire theme of this summer event is basically toys REALLY make me think of a conversation I had some time ago about how they are going to subvert war…. and it was brought up that in Mesoamerica historically there are a lot of games like Patolli, Bul, and Totoloque and a strong emphasis on sports like Tlachtli…. perhaps games and athletics are the "ritual" or "substitute" war that is taking place? playing games instead of fighting a wars seems like a reasonable subversion of war….
from a literal standpoint ofc, there still needs to be an abstract point like you were pointing out in the vid like fighting to stay with their Saurian partners.
Because of this I looked again at the character designs and I feel like they're all vaguely sporty too, like the hydro girl surfing, the little one wearing a visor with a tied back ponytail and doing some sort of gymnastic flip into the lineup at the end, and both the little girl and the guy are wearing their outerwear shucked off and tucked at the waist like people do at pickup sports games.
I dunno, I just think it's an interesting thing to think about.
BTW Patolli on it's own is quite interesting because it is tied to an Aztec god of games Xōchipilli and involves numbers related to the Aztec view of the universe.
I really like your plot prediction idea, a story where the relations between the humans and dragons are threatened in Natlan while they try to reach and push for coexistence in Teyvat is VERY interesting to me and i'd love to see something similar in the official release
If such a story is what will happen, I wonder where the Fatui will fit into it, will they be against the dragons or with the dragons
