A damage comparison between Crit DMG vs ATK% Circlet in 4pc Blizzard Strayer configuration using R5 Amenoma Kageuchi for C0 Ayaka.

Conclusion: Even with an ATK% mainstat weapon (Amenoma), ATK% circlet is an 7~8% increase of damage from Crit DMG circlet. It is also important to note that both builds barely had any ATK% substats so having an ATK% circlet is more beneficial than Crit DMG. This also means that other weapons with non-ATK% mainstat will benefit more from ATK% circlet as well. However, you need an ATK% circlet with 30%+ Crit DMG which is very hard to get for it to be worth the upgrade. In almost 2 years of playing, I only have 2 pieces with 30%+ Crit DMG so far and this is one of them.

HOWEVER, please do note that other ATK% buffs such as TTDS/ToM weren’t factored in the comparison. These buffs will tip the scale towards Crit DMG since too much ATK% will yield diminishing returns but it doesn’t necessarily mean that it wins. To answer which is better, it all depends on your ATK% substats & team buffs (Sucrose/TTDS/Noblesse/Bennett). Use Genshin Optimizer / Ayaka calculator for accurate answer for your specific team and build. But it’s still nice to know that both Crit DMG or ATK% are viable options whichever the RNG Gods give you.

  7. it's not fair
    – the attack circlet have crit damage on substat
    – but the crit damage circlet dont have attack substat…
    since you need both attack substat and dont need crit rate that much you need good attack % sub stat on the crit damage circlet

My ayaka rn with misplitter has 2149 atk, 28.3 cr and 285.6 cdmg im currently using cdmg circlet which has 7.4 cr, 15.2 atk%,35 atk, 16 elem mastery but i just recently got an atk% circlet from blizzard with 19.4 cdmg, 10.5 cr, 21 elem mastery with overall stat 2434 atk, 31.4% cr, 242.8% cdmg which do you think is better?
