I once theorized that Genshin was a chunk of land bubbled alongside the world tree which then sunk beneath a sea… well, it’s been a couple years and we’ve got new information and a brand new lexicon of terminology to work with, so let’s see if we can’t flesh this idea out a bit more.

OH MY GOSH, litterally doing Yaes charcter quest and it said memorys and spirits are a word for the same thing, something from the ley lines!!!!
my homestuck ass was immediately like, ah yes. dreambubbles. the concept has now expanded to genshin i see lmao
There's also the thing about Khaenri'ahns where those you enter the dream get reformatted into Hilichurls, etc when they try to go back to Teyvat after going back to their home, they're anomalies to the dream and they're being turned into 'part' of the dream
I was treasure hunting at HSR's Scalegorge Waterscape when I came across Memoria Whales next to, wouldn't you know it, Vidyadhara eggs. Then you got to wonder if the Ambrosial Arbor reviving, a result of a Stellaron, could be held as a parallel to Genshin's Irminsul.
On a more ambiguous deep cut, the Holographic Overview (Navigation) of the Loufu is kinda reminiscent of how the Norse Cosmology sorts out their realms with the inner realms vs the outer realms.
@30:59 something struck me….
what if…
Akademiya : Nilou :: Celestia : Lumine
Celestia trying to combat descender power with a host; that's why Lumine came alongside Aether, when only the call to one descender was made!
According to the knowledge we have, and Ashikai's theories until now….. wow did I cook something up?
so what you are saying is, when Venti blew apart the mountains to create space for mondstadt, it could have been him enforcing his will on the land using the Gnosis to terraform it? like maybe he cant terraform the entire teyvat, but doing it to a mountain in Mond was within his reach?
So basically a bubble world which is a memory of a ruined world, this is kinda common to Hi3 and many already came up with this conclusion but not as informative as this video.
All they came up with is that Teyvat is a bubble world of a ruined planet, this would be good if you also include Hi3 lores about it since its the game that talks about it more.
Good Video and i really enjoyed it❤
@ashikai what would the dreams ending be? It becomes reality but what will be the reality? Or is that food for another video 😇
you were mentioning Time, capital T. time. and when it comes to sleep and time or the feeling of time (I have a theory that time does not truly exist but that's just myself) is different from when you are asleep to when you are awake, like when you are awake you can see the clock tick, you know when the seconds, the minutes, the hour goes by, but in the sleeping world, the dream you have no real idea. now sure in the dreamworld of Treyvat (if you want to stick with that) there is the sun and moon moving around and you do have the time changer where you can adjust time in game, but still it always seems to move faster in game, or maybe in the dream than it would in reality.
Anime games and Jungian psychology go together like Paimon and my emergency food drawer

I don’t remember if it was a theory or confirmed or if I just imagined it at some point, but I could've sworn there was something in the manga about Celestia being a prison and Vanessa becoming a prisoner when she "ascended to godhood." But if what I just said wasn't completely nonsensical, consider the following:
If visions are to mark those with the strongest wills and only those with visions are the only ones eligible for "ascension," perhaps the reason why those who, like Vanessa, would have ascended to Celestia are locked away, is because their wills became too strong and they got too close to waking up or they had too much potential to become a destabilising factor. Or maybe they're just easier to farm the wills of when they're in Celestia, I dunno.
this shit's like trying to untangle a David Lynch film 😆
Also isn’t weird that dreams and knowledge (wisdom) are linked? Like what connection does it genuinely have other than dreams are processing reality? What if it’s quite literally knowledge of the dream aka teyvat
Thank you Ashikai, for spoiling the end of HSR for me, while learning so many things in Genshin Impact HAHAHAH
Nephilim are giants and the talking stick description talks about a giant named Tupac
This is an amazing video, thank you!
What if Teyvat was actually the friends we made along the way?
This made me think of Wolfy's comment in imaginarium theater where he states that his dreams are as real as and indistinguishable from his "reality" where he's standing there with the traveler. Possibly hinting that that is also a dream just like the others.
Your cooking, keep cooking. I think you are probably correct
Makes me think alchemists like albedo or gold figured this out as well
So if I got that right, it's all about "entropy" (=abyss) being a threat to the ordered bubble called Teyvat. And that bubble is tyring to prepare it's inhabitants to deal with that entropy once the bubble pops?
Nuevillette is a Loch ness
Izumo and Takamagahara
This theory confirms my headcanons for Aether and Lumine I am so happy
I like the video. I like the theory. I hate how much sense it makes, especially after playing through penacony. This opens up so many new possibilities and it makes my mind race.
this is mind-blowing.
but what about the state of fontainians? i mean, where they initially part of the dream or forced to be part of it, thus transgressing the dream's rules and functioning? or both? i guess im forgetting now, but egeria's sin was to have created human life forms from the oceanids or the oceanids in the first place? the whole "fooling the heavenly principles" would a new meaning then: focalors fooled the dream itself, by ensuring that its trangressors were now part of it and of its own rules, despite effectively breaking them as well through the hydro throne destruction and the authority's return to Neuvillette. am i right? also, that would make Neuvillette adequable to be imagined in reality, just like the saurians of Natlan will possibly be, right? and how do the sinners come in all of this? are they Nephilim-ish too? their world-shattering power is one that disorders the dream? if so, to what purpose? they seem like a mad scientist group or smth, but if khaenri'ah exists outside of the main dream, the khaenri'ans wouldn't be imagined into reality as well, right? despite being conscious of their state, they didn't dream, it's what I am getting. which means that, much like the dragons, they were doomed from the start. but we don't know yet if they were part of the ark project and then kinda expelled from it, as we don't really know Khaenri'ah's origin, if I am remebering correctly. also, another question: what could even "life" and "death" be in Teyvat, specially in regards of this theory?
Fun fact: Rukkhadevata was the first creature to dream in Teyvat, which would make her very, very old.
This video got my brain to do the juicy things.
So teyvat is a dream being ordered from the chaos by celestia. The chaos still exists outside of its boundaries and is eating away at the border, which is being sustained by the heavenly principles.
We, the twins, even encounter “the sustainer of heavenly principles.” At the border to teyvat, upon which we are separated, our powers are taken, and we get split up by a 500 year long stasis.
Right now the biggest taboo in teyvat is bringing in information from the outside, not just because that information is dangerous to the status quo, but because it is literally dangerous and chaotic energy, so it has to be ordered first.
Normally that energy would be ordered by the heavenly principles, but they’re busy keeping the division between teyvat and the chaos active and healthy.
Meanwhile the travelers are bringing in energy from the outside (by virtue of being, you know, from the outside) and so they get swatted down.
The gnosis, which are formed from a descender, also maintain a connection to the outside, able to draw in and order the chaotic energy on a smaller scale, hence why mora contains a catalytic element and morax doesn’t get weaker every time he creates new mora.
The tsaritsa is collecting the gnosis because she needs to draw in as much chaos as possible from the outside, either to crush the heavenly principles under its weight, or because she needs to create some sort of vessel or construct that rivals the world which is likewise made of the seven elements (although the hydro gnosis being broken could put a wrench in this plan.)
my brain is being fried in the best way possible, thank u Ashikai
holy fvck! the one Dain is trying to save, the dreamer will be the Elysia expy lol
along the lines of animals having the wrong let of legs, i think its weird that all of fontain is tecniclly a big freshwater lake but all their animals are like crabs and octopuses and fairly oviouse salt water creatures
glad to be apart of this channel. it keeps my tinfoil hat shiny and crumpled
try to watch Angel's Egg anime movie
there's something interesting in that movie which "similar" with your theory about Teyvat world structure & about dream
Traveler: "NO PLEASE IM A STARRR!!!"
ok ok hear me out HEAR ME OUT ASHIKAI!
you know how akasha used the dreams energy to sustain the akasha and the dreams? in other words it used the memory of the dreams? and how Teyvat is also like a dream? but nilu's dream repeated many many times!
I think Teyvat's dream has repeated may times too. Why, you ask?
remember when in fontaine archon quest the witch lady said, and i quote "you can call such things the history of the future"
how can you have a history of the future? before i thought teyvat could be a simulation just bcz of this quote but now it might be that the energy of the dream is being harvested? or repeating for some reasons. and maybe the witches have so strong will that altho they didnt wake up they ended up in a limbo state like in HSR. so they know dream repeats. they know "the history of the future"
if not pls someone explain ahy do they call it history of the future!!
This video feels like its condensing what many of us were thinking of or feeling as the next step in the story into a more coherent form.
Like many of the puzzle pieces could now fit together.
The end picture might not be 100% right, but to much fits that all is wrong and the direction is probably correct as a result.
There is also a parallel between the abyss sibling stumbling upon the Sea of Flowers at the End (revealed in the latest archon quest), and Nilou subconsciously conjuring the real padisarah in her dreamscape during Sumeru Archon Quest Act 2.
This is getting more probable by the minute xD
genshin and hsr devs screaming at each other after Ashikai reveals their 10 years of plot for quests
zzz vibing
yes the tree bringing order reminds me of how gopher wood connected the dreamscape to a tree to connect to the aeon order
28:56
not really a link but it reminded me of "Lady Sunbringer" from ZZZ's trailer about some characters.
wait, isnt traveler's power actually golden? imaginary type on star rail is yellow/ golden lol
you made me watch the raiden trailer again and one of the first things she says is "lighting is eternal, the world is but a shadow" lol
@Ashikai I’m still wondering about one fact. If elemental energy is analogous to memories which is made of memoria and dragons are elemental beings, would that not make them analogous to memes like “Death” and Misha? In that case they wouldn’t exactly disappear or “die” from the dream merging with reality as Misha being able to be perceived by the Trailblazer was a key abnormality allowing them to realize reality and dreams were merged. With that established, wouldn’t the dragons fight the Primordial One because of their will messing with their original dreamscape like how the spirit veins subdue nature telling the ley lines what to do?
The part about Khaenri'ahns knowing about the dream and having means of travelling through time is particularly interesting if we look at Kaeya. Every time we meet him, he's like "oh, what a coincidence" or "it must be fate". But what if he has information about where the Traveller would be because he either 1) can traverse time himself; or 2) he is interrogating the Abyss Order (mages and the like) to get information about our movements. I think the latter is more probable, since so far it seems like he doesn't have much of abyssal powers (at least at the moment). It would explain his interest in the Order's hideouts and why he avoids revealing his level of involvement with them.
Also, the first time we meet him, he asks if we're a "new ally or a new storm". And what is a storm to a (primordial) sea but chaos? If we have the ability to make this dream "real" and Khaenri'ah/the Order wants Teyvat to take a certain "shape" (or they just have their own vision of its future), I think keeping an eye on someone who might mess up their plans is valid. Maybe his father left him in Mondstadt because he knew (again, time travel) that we would first arrive there, so he could monitor us. Moreover, he mentions the Traveller having the power to go up against a dragon, which is suspicious on its own (elemental dragons? Nibelung? Khaenri'ahns as half-dragons?).
This is probably stretching it too far, but I can't help thinking about this man every time Khaenri'ah gets mentioned.
And Mondstadt with its association with time and death specifically is looking really suspicious once again. (Certainly would be the best place to fight the final battle of an "ending dream")
That sounds coincidental but a lot of parts of your theory u explained, remembers me A LOT of Part 2 of Honkai Impact 3rd. Maybe u should look into it.
I always thought Teyvat was the continent, not the whole planet. And we're boxed off by the fake sky dome separated from the Dark Sea and the rest of the world. They do mention in the lore that other beings that didn't bend to Celestia, fled across the Dark Sea to other continents.
This one's gonna need a rewatch or two.
I think you need to keep making insane claims like this with the hsr tie ins and all because every time it's just heat
The part about the dream solvent and crossing swords with somebody powerful to become strong, made me think that Tartaglia is farming the Traveler every week, which is how he became so strong in Fontaine.
