I don't mind delays, but the reason for it is beyond nonsensical. Although i hold nothing but respect for the Chinese people, those who give out the orders in their country don't deserve special treatment to such degree.
Would this happen if it was a homeless person who passed? An honest worker? A housewife? A famous actor? A novelist? Of course not. There lies my issue with this: not the delay, but the undeserved veneration of what is at the end of the day an individual.
Genshin is just a game; they could delay it for one month and I'd be fine with it considering the circumstances.
