  1. This has been the best part 1 of the story in any of the genshin Archon quests so far. If it can continue and end just as strong this will be the best archon quest to date.

  2. Not to start a VA war or disrespect/discredit the talented JP VAs but I think the JP VO for Focalor and Neuvilette, especially Neuvilette is kinda unfit/miscast. The 'Chief Justice aura' of Neuvilette during the whole court session was kinda weak as compared to other VOs and Focalor is a bit too calm contrary to the dialogues shown and made by Hoyoverse for Focalors in this particular Fontaine AQ. Man, I've loved the entire JP dub from the beginning but since Sumeru, I can only select few that properly fits the character voice as intended. Kinda underwhelming tbh but I guess that's on me for expecting so much but Neuvilette whyyyy oh whyyy I was so hyped for youuu 😢

Please note that these are just my personal opinion and you can feel free to disagree to it 😊

The only thing I got from Fontaine is a headache so far can we just go straight to natlan I don't want to save fontaine
    LET. THEM. SINK.
    Uhm anyway…I love fontaine ❤

  4. ima be honest I came here for UD's reaction to the Topaz drip marketing and yeah that's about how I feel too man um…. yea RIP everyone's wallets. Hoyo really sat down and said yeah we're robbing everyone LMFAO

  5. Just my opinion but you should have played the quest with the ENG VAs
I highly think their voices are so much better
not hatin on the jp dub i really love it but
But the ENG VAs outdid themselves

  6. Genshin is getting darker. The worst sides of human nature show up more often. First Tanit Tribe story, now this – literally dissolving people, getting them trafficked, and even more.
Death is becoming more of a casual thing in GI and I do like it. Remember that time when La Signora lost the duel? We were shocked how HYV could actually kill an important character. Now it's a substantial part of the storywriting like it was supposed to be from the very beginning.
Also, there's more accent on emotions/actions balance. I hope for more Navia's and Neuv's character development in the next patches.
It feels like "the game ages along with its audience".

  7. Thought I can't play the recent things that has transpired in genshin for a long while now cuz my laptop is very dinky and old, and can't play anything too good on it, I can say that I enjoyed watching the fontaine release here, also in my observation, I think Neuvilette and Furina are quite a good chemistry, as Furina can be quite rambunctious, Neuvilette can see through Furina pretty easily and is quite the level headed, polite upstanding man, really digging it

  8. Neuvelliet’s (I can’t spell it) JP voice does not do the character Justice. I see they wanted to keep a sense of apathy but in doing so to such an extend, he has no dominant voice which makes his statements less impactful. Not a good direction from Hoyo on this one but still a great VA.

  9. Honestly, Fontaine's story might be a great contender for Hoyo to show their true way of telling stories. Like, it's only ACT 1, and there's mention of human trafficking and possibly THE 'R'? Dayum.

  10. I feel like , okay .. I had a lot of feelings for Lyney's confession about being in the Fatui. I can understand his backstory and joining but I'm still not gonna overlook the fact that

    A. one of them hurt Venti

    B. one of them almost destroyed a nation by summoning a monster

    C. one of them killed a dear friend of ours in Inazuma by giving him a delusion

    D. almost every time , they want us dead .. except for Childe, he just wants to spar XD

    E. one of them, well a previous one of them, decided to continue the pain of an entire nation so that he can resolve his mommy issues

    F. literally one of them experiments on children!

  11. "is that the thief" said someone in the chat. obviously they're trying to spoil lmao
that npc model is very common and its not that easy to remember that she's the thief
come on chat (and mods because i saw them spoiling too), keep the surprises for UD next time

  12. On the topic of investigating the Oratrice core in the basement potentially landing them in trouble (haven't finished yet so maybe this gets addressed but): he's being accused with the murder of one person, the abduction of another, and even possibly masterminding the previous disappearance cases. You also have practically nothing to work with if you don't bring up the vent, so using that truth and taking your chances with Furina being upset about it seems like a much better option than being found guilty of murder/abduction + prime suspect for masterminding the disappearances.

  13. The reason for them to be not as concerned about Lyney going to the basement being revealed thing is because that's a whole different offence and the priority at the moment was the murder. One case at a time and that was not the objective of this trial. He should have a whole separate case for that at another day once the bigger issue is resolved. There's literally a dead person at the court. Your Fatuus agenda can wait. Like how the thief revealed herself willingly when she realized she could be blamed for murder if not given the chance to speak and admit she was merely into stealing, not killing. Still a crime, but not as ruining as the other. (And she won't be off the hook for thievery either after this, right? But no one focused on that at the moment too unless it was relevant to the current trial. So that criminal background of a fact is benched for another time.) I don't know about you, but being a very successful high-profile murderer with a history of serial disappearance is a much more damning sentence than just being a hired snoop that got no results in the end anyway due to distractions. (Btw, still love the reactions. Was just trying to help clear things up based from my experience in debates. 😅 As our adjudicator once said in our debate: Trying to find answers to every small info that pops up, good or bad truths, will only distract you from your main point and you'll lose sight of the goal of your argument because you're focusing on every little detail instead of bringing them together to give a simple, conclusive, and airtight answer. In this instance it's to "who killed" and as long as being a Fatui, terrible as that may be, had nothing to do with the murder case being presented, it is a valuable insight to your innocence still. For not being present due to your differing plans at the time of the murder, you may be pardoned for THIS crime, but that doesn't mean you're wholly a saint either nor are you one who hasn't sinned. Until later when you are tried again at another time for an entirely different case as it's for your identity. But for now, that is not the objective nor is it worth the focus. So it's just another evidence to your side until it's the main issue to resolve. Which comes after.) On the other hand what confused ME is that we're so pissed at the twins at he end. (I mean I get it, I felt it, I agreed with it but also) This was something that happened to us… countless times before. Most notably from an Archon Quest, their fellow Fatui Childe and HE did it on purpose right from the very beginning. So why are we only now so, so very affected by this? Are we really mad at them or ourselves for falling for the same scenario again and again? 🤔

  14. 5:46:33 The trial is about a magic trick incident and our main goal is to defend Lyney who has been claimed as a MURDERER. In this case we need to share all the truth. After this trial they will investigate it further and if they find Lyney's act illegal (going to Oratrice core) then he will be charged as conspirator and there will be another trial
The main point of this trial is not the core which is why they ignored it but the murder

  15. traveler is an actual hypocrite, hes friends with child, who did the funny liyue thing and its compleatly fine with murder as long as it dosnt involve people he cares about, has learnd in past quests that not all fatui are bad people and even befriended some of them and yet when the twins turn out to be fatui, he treats it like is the worst betrayal, and dont say its because they hide it, when he hides the fact that hes sister is the lider of the abyss
