I think the new event boss (whopper flower) is disguised as albedo seeing it used cryo
I'm still not sure if albedo is really turning into evil since during the livestream, it says that albedo and the traveler together with eula and amber are gonna have a combat training at dragonspine. Then, albedo's sketchbook were stolen and his workshop was a mess as if someone torned the place down just to take his sketchbooks away. Then, we saw at the end that Albedo uses Cryo magic and they're in some kind of a battle. Maybe it's because albedo uses some kind of alchemy for their training and decided to join the battlefield as the final lesson. Maybe the real culprit and enemy is the final boss which is this weird colorful whopperflower. Idk i'm still sus about the last part hahaha

personally I don't think this is albedo going crazy here I think he has been possessed by some power kind of like the festering desire was and i think the traveler will help save him and maybe that power will transfer into a mob nearby and then that will be the boss for the event

The fact that no one saw Albedo attacked Eula, didn't realize he was the one shooting Cryo, and until everyone surrounded him, they realized Albedo turned evil

but i doubt mihoyo would do it this early, maybe closer to khaenriah
I love how almost everybody in the community didn't expect a double rerun banner this patch and the fact that from the PV, Albedo seemingly fighting against his former comrades.

If you watch the gensin trailer explaing Albedo's moves/talents, at the end Dainsleif mentions that Albedo came from another country and that his powers are remnicient of khaenri'ah. (He might even be from there due to him being able to control life.)
And if Albedo ever turns against others Dainseif himself will intervene. Now, assuming Albedo isn't training the others in this trailer we might see Dainsleif in 2.3 due to Albedo going out of control.
