  1. A translation of message at 0:01 from Yu-Peng Chen

"I'm very sorry to disturb everyone! According to the plans for my personal creative endeavors, after careful consideration for some time and several discussions with the company, I have chosen to leave miHoYo and the HOYO-MiX team to continue pursuing my music dreams! Seeing my fellow composers at HOYO-MiX team constantly growing, witnessing Genshin Impact's music progressing step by step (Fontaine Music is really great👍), and recalling the support and help the company and colleagues have given me during the music production process… It's truly the most beautiful and unforgettable memories! I earnestly request everyone's understanding and respect for my decision, and in the future, I will continue to explore the path of music. I plan to release a new album of purely instrumental music next year, and specific plans will be announced in the future. I hope you will continue to support my creations.

In the future, I will continue to explore Teyvat's wonders together with everyone as a Traveler!"

Also, note that many OSTs from the Sumeru desert were not his creations as well, the entirety of Enkanomiya OSTs, Heizou and Gorou Demo OSTs, the music from 3.2 trailer onwards till 4.0, all were created by other composers. There were too many, so I decided to include only the popular ones in this video.

  2. Every one should respect Yu-Peng Chen's decision. It's not the end of the world that he left the team because there are a lot of talented composers in the hoyo mix team !! and as he said in his message, they are growing, they are learning and experimenting with different OST'S, their so talented and I wish the best for them and Yu-Peng Chen !!

  3. what this and similar videos prove is the difference between good and great. There is no doubt that the greatness is leaving the team, but hopium is the he is going to contribute as a freelancer

  4. "It doesn't matter who made it, as long as it sounds good." That's how I see it. Even if it isn't him making it, there's literally no possibility of the music suddenly becoming bad unless someone intentionally sees it that way. I wish him the best in everything he does🌟

  5. I knew Yu Peng Chan didn’t compose everything and I’ve also seen threads about tracks from other different artists, but I didn’t know that Ayaka, Thoma, Ayato and Collei’s themes were not composed by him! All four of them are one of my most favourite character themes. Yu Peng Chan will forever be the Music Archon in our heart, but I think it’s also time to start appreciating other talents from the team too. Most of them have been in the shadow of the Music Archon for too long.

  6. Yu Peng was well known but it never meant that Hoyos quality will fall, bcs Hoyo-mix always had amazing music even in the start
Diva of Disruptive World is a still a banger to listen
