later on the game, you will get a book with massive lore. I recommend reading it once you get it. But don’t worry about it now, giving your current pace it will take a long time to get there. I’ll give you more info once you reach that point (don’t worry, I’m not gonna spoil anything).
Once you reach the longer archonquests, you should focus on one quest at a time cuz the archonquests will now get longer and longer, Liyue will already be much longer then Mondstadt. currently, the longest archonquest takes almost 5 hours
nice video! Xingqiu and Chongyun are two of my favorite characters (You haven't met Chongyun yet lol.) and Xingqiu (Before the hydro archon came out) was widley considered to be the best character in the game. Here is some more notes for all the new characters you have.
another quick note: having two of the same element in your party actually is a good thing! it gives you whats known as resonance, which gives your team buffs depending on the element you've doubled up on. (you can read about it in the team select menu) dendro resonance gives you a partywide 100 elemental mastery
Barbara: great healer! her best stat for healing is HP, so her best weapon is actually the 3 star book "thrilling tales of dragon slayers" because it gives her a ton of HP while giving a huge attack boost to the next character you switch to. you can also build her as a damage dealer, and try to vaporize her charged attacks (which do crazy damage!)
Yaoyao: so cute! we love Yaoyao. shes also a very good unit, she applys dendro super consistently and she also heals! her healing scales off of HP so black tassel is her best weapon. you can also never go wrong with elemental mastery on dendro characters.
Xinyan: Another one of my fav characters! shes super awesome and im glad you like her. unfortunately, she's not the best in terms of gameplay, but you can definitely make her work! there are a few different ways you can play her:
1) physical damage dealer: focus primarily on attack! try to give her a physical damage goblet (if you have one). its also good to have an electro and cryo character on your team to superconduct (makes physical do more damage) but team building is really up to you!
2) tank: so Xinyan Has shields that scale off her defense! if you stack defense on her, or give her a defense weapon, her shields will be super tanky.
3) weird build: so because girls on the town is primarily dendro and hydro, you can essentially use xinyan's shield to do burgeon, which does way higher, and more consistent damage than burning. the only thing you would want to do is stack as much elemental mastery on her as possible!

The absolutely WORST thing about this game is how they do the limited time events, they completely disregard where in the story are you, and act as if you already know who these people are and what's going on, such a shame.
Also the fact that they drop Lore bombs on events that won't come back

It’s been a while since I’ve needed to light up any Geo monument so I’m not 100% sure, but when you use Wander to activate them, try either hitting them from the side instead of the top, or use the tap version of the skill instead of the hold version. It is definitely weird that they’re not reliably activating when you’re hitting them though idk why it doesn’t work 😂
If you do the minigames (which takes like half an hour) you will get an exclusive alternative outfit for Xingqiu! And you'll be able to invite any Liyue 4-star character, including Xingqiu if you want! Which wouldn't be a bad idea, since him, Bennett and Xiangling (which you can get for free another way) are considered some of the most powerful playable characters, and them as a trio are a backbone of many meta teams. lol
Lantern Rite after it's gone it will come back next year, but the story will be completely different. The characters you saw were just new looks of some characters you haven't met looking for someone else, that's the short of it, and the kite stuff gave them a hint. The anemo pillar the other day, there was a second one in the bottom you needed to light too, and the ruins you have to get them in a certain order probably, not sure what order though…Charlotte you met on 3.7 on an event you can't play ever again where you traveled to Mondstat, Liyue, Inazuma and Sumeru, so meeting her now isn’t really important. I personally wouldn't care much about doing rhe Lantern Rite right now, but I also don't care about spoilers, that said, I feel they are minor, because most of the stuff will be out of context…
About 4-star characters you got. Yaoyao is really good! She is akin to a Dendro Sayu. Her summons deal Dendro damage, but if your active character is low they will target you and heal you instead. Heals a lot and triggers a lot of reactions. Xinyan is… well let me start by saying that I love her, I love her design, I have her built and I like playing her from time to time, but… She's not really great. A clunky jack of all trades. Creates a shield that pulses Pyro damage, and nukes with Physical damage. Though at lower levels she can handle herself, her Pyro pulses are helpful when triggering reactions.
Hey, you've mentioned a few times now that you want to pronounce the Liyue names properly. Firstly, to set you a bit more at ease, nobody should expect you to be getting them all right all the time, but I can give you a beginners guide if you like. It's not possible to properly learn quickly but here are some simplified rules to go by that will get you close most of the time:
X – Sh sound
Q – Ch sound (Xingqiu – Shing Cho)
Zh – Juh sound (Chizhang hill – Chuh-Jahng
C – S sound (Cuijue slope – Sway-Joo-eh, Qingce village – Ching-suh)
I'll add in a few more specifics that might come up often:
Liyue – Lee-yoo-eh
Qixing – Chee-Shing
Tianheng – Tee-en-hung
Xinyan – Shin-yen
Gaming – Gahming (Cantonese pronunciation)
This IS watering it down a fair bit but I hope it's helpful.
You can listen to character voicelines too to get an approximation, but I will say even in game the VAs all pronounce things differently – some are closer to correct than others and I have noticed that as time goes on some pronunciations have improved (Paimon's VA is now much better with the Liyue names than they were in earlier game)
You should visit Ying’er while you’re in Liyue, she should be right behind the Adventurer’s Guild building, she has some interesting dialogue.

While replenishing it is fairly easy, mora will become a resource you have to mind after adventure rank 45-ish. I do buy every single recipe, too, though, even if the effects are pretty much the same across all nations lmao
For sugar and flour, I highly recommend using your own sweet flowers and wheat at a cooking spot. Just chunck a bunch of ingredients you want to inside before you log out, and it will be done by the next day.
I also rewach some stuff occasionally… especially specific One Piece arcs and episodes when I want to laugh or cry.
Violetgrass grows on cliffs, especially near water. The more steep cliffs you see in one place, the higher the chance you see one. (watching 1:49:38 was so funny in this regard asdfdsfgfd)
You had the right idea with the swirly geo puzzle. I just don't know if it works when starting from the middle. Anyhow, I recommend a Noelle burst for these "be fast" or "hit these in order" geo puzzles, it keeps going for quite a while.
That 4* bow could be good for Sara or Faruzan; one can buff anyone, the other can buff Sayu and herself! Also congratz, you now have enough healers to reasonably get to… about floor 4 of the Abyss, provided you upgrade your feather artifacts (or flower ones, like in the case of Barbara and Yaoyao, who IS a very good healer. just stack HP and maybe spice it up with EM). Also fun fact: Yaoyao was the new character for last year's Lantern Rite, just in time for the year of the rabbit!
ps. she may be one of the least meta things out there but I triple crowned that girl, XINYAN LOVERS UNITE!!! (lmao she heard you man, low-key jealous you got two constellations just like that… I used my ticket on her and STILL am only on 3.)
I like your burgeon team you selected for her. She is gonna kick anyone's ass who messes with the (actually sweet but not entirely doe-eyed) girls.
If you wanna try something else later, I would recommend another pyro character (for extra damage buff) and an electro one, plus Layla or Kaeya for a superconduct reaction, especially with her burst. (t would go cryo > electro > just chuck at 'em whatever you feel like at the time) The reason? Superconduct reduces physical resistances, and Xinyan, although she does a little pyro on the side with her skill, is mainly a physical on-field character – alternatively, just stack DEF on her for decent shields and pyro application. Unfortunately, this DEF doesn't affect her damage until C6, but is what it is, we came here to have **FUN**
Gamings story brought a tear to my eye. I hope you can check out a VOD of this event (and perhaps others) someday.
1:53:49 you keep shooting ABOVE the pillar. Aim for the BASE.
As a tip for wanders geo skill: trying to aim it on the top or those Geo pillars you have to activate doesn't always work because monuments are a surface where the rocks cannot emerge from (game design wise in the code). However if you aim it at the ground right next to the geo pillar it gives AOE Geo damage so it will activate the monuments more reliable

if u like physical dmg based , Xinyan shield also give buff to increase physical dmg. and her shield strength based on her defense. it really fit for your razor too
