The thing is the karma will eventually take Xiao because if the karma could be removed Zhongli would have already done it given his relationship with Xiao and considering how smart Zhongli is. So I won't be surprised if Xiao dies at some point.

Why are some people calling Xiao an Edge lord? He didn't leave without the medicine because he likes being alone or because he's being an edge lord. It's because if he stays around people for too long his Karmic curse will infect them causing their death. He leaves and stays alone to protect people from his Karma. I don't get why people have a hard time understanding this.

He is not Edgelord tho, his karma literally like a COVID. He just don't want people to be infected with it because he was meant to protect them.
Venti meeting (and knowing) Xiao is wild cause Xiao likes listening to Ventis music from afar and I'm pretty sure Xiao doesn't know who Venti is
According to my experience in genshin, Xiao is one of the yaksha of Liyue, the yaksha's duty is to protect the people in Liyue. When Xiao wears the mask, he becomes much more powerful therefore to have the power to slave all the monsters and protect people in Liyue. But there's a curse follow by the power he gain form the mask, he will gain a little amount of the monster's consciousness whenever he kills a monster. So after thousands of years of massacre, Xiao sometime's won't be able to control himself. And I think that's why he saw himself as a demon and always what's to stay away from the Liyue people, also he was scared by the little girl's mask is because he gained so many monster's consciousness which already slowly turning him in to a monster.

In China Venti's name is Wendy and he's voiced by the same girl that voices Durandal in Honkai. So I mean… he's pretty /close/ to being a girl. lol
