  1. You can all argue about the similarities of GI and WW. But for me if I will compare the two, it will be the music. I love the feeling of jammy to the music while fighting of dodging bec I want to hear the full battle music. Sorry for my English

  2. The latest drama when Kuro Games tries to even copy EULA of Hoyoverse and getting exposed, is just a red flag of lazyness. The only part I am looking forward on WW is the combat and I hope they add air combat. They sure can't catch up onto Hoyoverse storytelling/visuals/worldbuilding/PV etc, but the only thing I'm sure they are ahead of Hoyoverse, is the combat system and that's why I am keen on playing this. Just prayge they don't fucked it up. SURELY.

  3. Based on this footage, it does seem inevitable that the exploration mechanics (run around, climb, glide, puzzles, chest, fight) and team based approach to playing would lead to Wuthering Waves being compared to Genshin (and BotW in other instances). This is especially true if one only has a quick glance at the two games. I find it unlikely that Wuthering Waves will escape the shadow Genshin Impact cast before it releases. Only once people play the game and experience the identity of Wuthering Waves for themselves will they come to understand how unique it is (and in some cases, isn't). It is going to be important for fans of Wuthering Waves to make the game as inclusive as possible and not manufacture a war with other communities because they may not be particularly fond of other games i.e. hype up the game without throwing shade another one.

Wuthering Waves does look fun and I am curious to see how it develops itself going forward – gameplay wise, lorewise and gachawise.

  4. The thing is, ToF took inspiration and downright stole items from a bunch of games and was under Genshin’s shadow for a LONG time. But now, ToF has become their own game and I’m quite happy for them.

  5. Just watched the first 7sec and instantly reminded of all the zelda boys when Genshin launched…
Every time this "oh its just a clone from <<insert game here>> !"
    Why are people like this?
Doesn't mean it has to be bad!
Heck the whole Gaming-Industry is copying from each other and it doesnt matter if the product is a good game!

Just look at all those soulslike games…
    Just sayin

  6. what I like of Genshins combat is based on team synergy and elemental reactions. what i like abt WW is its flashiness of movement, basically hack n slash. and i prefer Genshin to be honest but that wouldnt stop me from playing WW..Im kinda used on hack and slash coz of Devil May Cry games, thats why I like Genshin because its a breath of fresh air and unique implementation.

  7. SO is that triple jump in Wuthering Waves an exploit similar to the climbing in Tower of Fantasy? I ask cuz the movements look like one.
Also I would vote for Wuthering Waves just because the aesthetics lean toward to my liking and has a small possibility of having a Nier collab.

  9. Altho I'd rather us not start comparisons again, WW vs GI seems to be a more proper and fair comparison compared to the ToF vs GI dilemma. Yes, ToF started that BS on their own (from ToF CN) and all the theft controversies but there are people who really seriously compared the two as games even tho Genshin is a casual, story-driven solo player with some Multi-player options while ToF is a fast-paced, combat-focused MMO (even tho both are Open world anime style Gacha) so the comparison has always been stupid and even months after the game has become its own thing, there still remained toxics who didn't stop coming to the game's promotions and channels just to keep on trying so hard to associate it with Genshin.

Now, WW already shows so much potential and promise to give Genshin the competition it needs because let's be real, Hoyo is starting to be lazy or too comfortable on that game these days bc of their success… (I'm looking at you, Mika) so I'm really hyped and excited to see how WW plays out!

  10. The combat system is what I'm looking for an action rpg, yep it's like Genshin but hack and slash so it's gonna be one of my favorite game but I'm not gonna stop playing Genshin and PGR after WW release.

  11. While Genshin Impact is the milestone of the open world gacha game era. I just wish for any upcoming games to be treated fairly and freely.

What's the point on comparing/hating on a game that doesn't harm anyone (financially)? Let ToF and Wuthering Waves be a fair competitor for the open world gacha games. Everyone game has their ups and downs.

  12. I remember when Genshin was first announced and people called it a Zelda clone. And it's not like Breath of the Wild was all that original, almost everything in it had been done before. And if you look at those games, you can trace their influences back to something before.

So what if there similarities between Genshin and WW? There's differences too. They can both be good games. Some people will like one more than the other. Some will like both. Some won't like either. All's good.

  13. In my opinion the combat really has to hit like a truck cause the lush visuals of genshin is soo pretty to look at compared to waves. I don't doubt that the ost is gonna be lit. Not many games have a bad ost. But the small things can make a huge change on similar games. I'm not gonna try waves since I just gotten back into genshin a month ago and I'm like 2 years behind on my account and have a shit ton to do now but we will see

  14. "superior combat" is such a condescending thing to even say when it's all subjective at the end of the day. Besides, people can enjoy both. Enough with this Vs series stuff, gamers. Multiple fun games can coexist, trust me.

  15. Stix always praise any game that he get money from and is okay but this time is just ridiculous to pretend that WW will be a high quality open world game, maybe can compete against Tower but still ToF was very fast to deliver cheap content but faster and WW has a crisis because they are just making a PGR mide to brute force and become a Open world game that maybe this time take some Hoyoverse player base, how about working hard on PGR and then make another game…. I wonder if Tencent will put ToF marketing budget into WW

  16. Sorry, but WW is much more of a clone of Genshin than Genshin is a clone BotW. Genshin took heavy inspiration from BotW, yes, but it turned that game into a completely different game model: an online/gacha/GAAS action RPG. It could've totally failed, but it didn't and turned out to be a huge success. WW just takes Genshin's entire model without any remodelling. That's totally a clone or ripoff or copy cat, or however you want to call it.

  17. Genshin is more tame compare to Wuthering Waves. I plays Genshin now at AR60 and played PGR up to lvl88 so I know both are completely different feels.
Those who said Wuthering just similar to Genshin never actually play either Genshin or PGR or both therefore make their argument invalid.
