Wuthering Waves just had one on their biggest banners yet being Yinlin, but what a lot of people are worried about is how the new Genshin Impact update with new characters like Clorinde and also a new Archon Quest will affect what WuWa is doingโฆ Well in this video I discuss the fall off of Genshin updates and why this is a great thing for Wuthering Waves and discuss how and whether Genshin Impact can do much more to combat thisโฆ
Hope you enjoy the video!

Do you think Genshin will catch up to Wuthering Waves again?!
i thought the new genshin story was alright, not the best but also not the worst. could have been better but i personally enjoyed it more than the wuwa main quest bc the story is, in my opinion, wuwa's biggest problem. on the other hand, imo wuwa's combat is better and more fun than genshins so yea. idk. there might be people out there who enjoyed the wuwa story or who prefer genshins combat over wuwa and i am not going to them and say stuff like "no you are wrong, you are just a blind genshin/wuwa stan." people just have different tastes. tectones "wake tf up" comment was just immature af. both games have their highs and lows and idk why people have to fight each other. these obsessed wuwa stans and genshin stans both think their game is oh so much better and the fans of the other game are just crawling up the companies ass but what i am seeing is that both wuwa and genshin fans are excatly the same – there is literally no difference between them. they cant handle critique, shit on the other game and ignore the flaws of their own .
Idk if I can feel excited about Genshin anytime sooner. With WuWa around, I still on the opinion that WuWa is much more enjoyable to play even when you don't have any resin left. I play Genshin everyday, and only doing daily, don't get me wrong, I have been playing genshin and staying on AR60 since like 2 years ago. Sumeru story is really exciting, Fontaine is even better. But 4.7 and 4.8 will just be filler. Wuthering Waves release date timing couldn't get any better than this imo.
The hype for Genshin version 4 (Fontaine) is dying, and WuWa came right afterwards. 3 months of time is enough time to solidify WuWa's worth.
New charecters skill so cool in the wuthering wave
5:13 what are you talking about? Look at your own graph.
ToF starts great and will kill Genshin …
HSR starts great and will kill Genshin …
WW starts great and will kill Genshin …
I can't hear it anymore, but I'm looking forward to 5.0.
PS: I uninstalled ToF and HSR a long time ago and I'm still a long way from finishing WW. I hear there are also people who are happy with the amount of updates in Genshin because it suits their real life.
Forget about WuWa's combat system. As a GI player the ease and convinience of moving around without worrying about stamina is a huge deal for me. It's unrestricting and took exploration to another level! That alone!
2 really damn good story quests (better than anything wuwa has put out) new endgame mode people have been asking for years, I think thatโs good enough
Was that a Foxian guy i saw on HSR?! Oh boy, looks like im saving again. Wuwa was generous af to me, giving me both yinlin and a double weapon drop in a single 10-pull on each banner. A lot more satisfying than just going for Jiyan's weapon
In my honest opinion, I love wuwa. I played genshin for 2-3 years and enjoyed it as well, but honestly, wuwa is just more refreshing for me. I think wuwa is great for people who want something to play that's similar to genshin and more combat oriented. That being said, Genshin still has a great story and also OST.
im not gonna pay 10 dollars for a gatcha game the just seems like a big L.
OK tbh the dainsflief quest is kinda good since it offers closure to our abyss siblings after so many years. But it all went the drain when they didn't let us remember in the end lmao
Im just enjoying both the game

I wanted the AQ to be just a bit longer while the Clorinde quest dragged on for WAY too damn long… Damn near 3 hrs quest, if you pace everything normally
They really need to start focusing on their story pacing on realizing what bits are important and not
Otherwise, an 8 outta 10 quest. Would've been 10 if they actually SHOWED the Dain vs Lumine cutscene and was a little longer
I just hope to God Kuro doesn't let's the Yinlin fame get over their head and completely axe the male characters
Male characters DO bring in money. They might or might not be as popular as the female units but the amount of people willing to pull for them are still sizeable by themselves.
Completely cutting down on 1 gender is massively gonna drive away the people who like them and in turn, the money.
Say what you want about Mihoyo but there's a reason why they started making more male units since Honkai 3rd in their later games
Dudes sell, fellas. Don't let the weebs fool you
my 2 cents. Now I love Genshin and HSR. Been playing Genshin since day 1 and have spent A LOT of money on it for both my and my daughter's accounts. There's been issues with Hoyoverse going way back, like to Genshin 2nd anniversary. Genshin devs are straight up TONE DEAF! Then HSR comes along and those devs are so much more generous: 240 "resin" (can't remember what it's called) cap, BEING ABLE TO BANK UNUSED "RESIN" (THIS IS A HUGE DEAL FOR ME), gave everyone a FREE 5* (Dr. Ratio), EVERY patch update there is a 7-day claimable tickets for a FREE 10 pull.. Genshin alone has made Hoyoverse billionaires!! Look how CHEAP Genshin devs are. Since the beginning of Genshin people have been complaining about there's not enough Resin and wanted the cap raised. NOTHING BUT CRICKETS. NOW with the release of Wuthering Waves, and not before mind you, they've raised the resign cap…. to 200!!!! what a fucking joke. WuWa comes out of the gate with TONS of free stuff. Not only a FREE 5* BUT YOU GET TO CHOOSE!!!! 240 "resign"/energy/waveplates. They are going to add the ability to bank unused waveplates!!!!! I don't want to see Genshin fail, but i do want them to suffer a bit. Maybe someone higher up in Hoyoverse will slap the shit out of the Genshin devs and wake them up. For the past several weeks, I've only logged into Genshin to do the daily commissions. I didn't even bother with one of the events because it sucked. Another of the events, i did just the bare minimum to get the Primogems. Nothing more. And this past update, still just doing the commissions after failing to get Clorinde. Honestly, I really really like the game play in WuWa way better. I've been spending hours and hours playing WuWa. 'nuff said
genshin is ass tbh it needs so much to even complete with wuthering waves
boring asf still g game lol
HAIL!! TECTONE
Sadly, I had to delete Wuthering waves due to storage reasons, but Iโm so glad thatโs doing so well maybe when I get more storage I might be able to download the game because it was really fun to play.
if character alone can outdone a whole update of genshin, then they have to come up with something better when 1.1 comes with jinhsi and changli two characters that has undoubtedly beaten every single character in genshin when it comes to animation and playstyle. I think Chlorinde was alright but WuWa has actual gun characters whom I think has better animations and more fun mechanics than her. If they think emellie will do well against changli whom I assume will be release around those dates hoyo is gonna need to improve.
I won't say one is necessary better than the other just yet. The quality of life improves WuWa make over GI's system are a breath of fresh air. I know how most people are with gotchas though and it's easily to love and be fully invested for the first few months to a year after release. Kuro has a lot of work ahead of them if they want to maintain this momentum.
It is hard to say who's better than who when it comes to story, it just really is very subjective like if someone says Ryan Reynold's Green Lantern is the best superhero movie because of the story, I'm sure many would disagree but what if for that person it really is at least for him? would there be anything that anyone can do to convince that person otherwise? It's very opinion based and self preference really, so see the problem now?
Also Genshin is almost 4 years old that's a ton of time to cook, develop and flesh out their story, then we'd compare WuWa who's been out for like 2 weeks only what would we expect about its lore and story?
So putting the story aside, I'll just pick a really small but very relatable stuff to compare, when exploring and running around let's just be honest what do we like better? Being able to run infinitely outside of combat due infinite stamina or have archons,demi-gods, and otherworldly beings run out of breath and just stop just after a few meters of running? ๐
I might look like I'm just min..nit picking but a small QoL improvement like that is a game changer for me.
Nah, Genshin will remain unbeaten
Love the story it's like genshin but better because of the expression of the characters really enhance the story ๐ฅฐ
The withering waves community is just as pathetic as genshin.
You're just a worthless drama channel that will never amount to anything.
Wuwa <3
I still play Genshin Impact, but it feels so boring now ๐
Let's not pretend that Clorinde was a great character. At best she was a glorified Electro Ayato, at worst she was just another generic simplistic character that didn't elevate combat in any meaningful way.
Sure, a great pick for newcomers to Genshin but for veterans she was an easy skip despite her neat character-design.
Genshin REALLY needs to change something about their combat-mechanics in order to lure people back in.
