I play albedo 🙁
I still use albedo for my hutao since I don't have yelan, and i just really like his character design, it may look boring at first but the more you use him and observe his design the better it gets.
Nawww man, my dude came outta nowhere after Ganyu and before Zhongli and still made 10mil.

How to Fix all this???
Make Albedo a standard banner character as we have no Geo characters in there.
As an Albedo simp since 2.3, this was really sad for me but it's only inevitable. Was waiting for you to make this actually but regardless what people say I'm getting him
I understand why they never nerf characters. But it's just idiotic that they almost never buff them.
If your going to use the "A Master of all trades is a master of none" saying, you have to use the part that always gets cut off at the end! "A Master of all trades is a master of none, but always better then a master of one"
I use Albedo in my main team, being, Albedo, Klee, Kazuha and Aloy. I have actually gotten to floor 12 of the spiral abyss with them, but failed it via the second team XD
The Geo Element was done dirty.
I dislike how some content creators say that if you need a shielder then use Albedo.
You don’t hear the alternative argument where people say choose Tartaglia if you want to heal.
As much as hydro is synonymous with healing, healing isn’t a reaction. Neither should shielding be a reaction for Geo.
I’d honestly rather have fan suggestions over “crystallise” such as hydro + Geo = muddy which significantly slows enemies.
Let healers heal and let shielders shield.
Albedo is a great slot in for hyperbloom teams though, considering they mostly consist of 3 characters and his EM buff and off field damage does help there.
Mihoyo's fatal flaw is refusing to change the characters' abilities, especially the older ones.
I know this is about Albedo but if you have Wanderer then Thoma is pretty good with him 😮
10:48 Vars-san, I'd like to mention that (as s rule) only twenty percent of any given community are active participants. This means that- official channel notwithstanding- the number of Genshin players producing, consuming, or otherwise interacting with content or online communities is only twenty percent of the playerbase.
So, that sample size you're using is actually inherently anomalous and not necessarily reflective of the overarching playerbase. Most people, particularly where Gacha games are concerned, would rather use their favorite characters than the best option available- the exception being when the character is genuinely NOT up for the task, such as Dehya. The ones who fall outside of this are actually the weirdos, a status catalyzed by becoming too enthralled by the game and playing too often. The result is a form of burnout that prompts boredom, leading them to try to amuse themselves by doing E-penis and debating over nonsensical things.
In other words, the cure for META JUNKIE SYNDROME is to take an extended break and play different games.
Albedo is a beast, some people don't know how to use him.

and as an f2p Albedo main/user alot in most of my personal casual openworld or events outside abyss combat playstyle..I love his character..Personality..design , voice actors , color scheme his element and skill to help explore the earlier patches when I first got him (yes first five star)….the best part about this video..reccommendation the respect and salute fellow GEO users or Albedo in general shall be paid respects

13:29 Nahida is basically Dendro Albedo, use skill once and then forget about elemental application for a long time. Considering how insanely broken Nahida is, it's understandable why they didn't make him Dendro, he's not the Archon.

It would be cool if Geo had reactions with water and wind being erosion but with ice and dendro it can be strengthened
if he was a dendro or pyro he would be broken with reactions

I want him, badly. Don’t care that he now gets a bad rep. He’s my boyfriends fav character and I already have a few team comps in mind where he will slot in perfectly. Now if they would just rerun him….sigh.
So Cinnabar Spindle being limited is a problem, but the real deal breaker that cripples his potential is just… the regular issues with Geo
And there hasn't been a new Geo unit in over a year and a half.
It's like they realize that the element is so weak it's innately crippling but can't decide what to do to fix it so it just sits there, barely existing off on the side.
what you forgot to mention about getting c4 for xiao is that if you're willing to get an extra 4 cons to support xiao you probably already have xiao c6 in which case plunge isnt the majority of your dps anymore
The most bs is cinnabar spindle and his lore quest locked behind event quest
It really hurts. I have him C5 Triple Crowned. Benched him in overworld and abyss 🙁 Still my favourite character design and still love his kit, but there are so many more effective characters in the meta and for exploration that I can’t drop so he’s just a shiny trophy for me now.
As an albedo main, I used him for a long time in this super weird Geo-Cryo team, alongside Ningguang, Qiqi, and a flex unit (most recently Ayaka of all things). So long as his flower was down, I could proc ningguang's constellation and constantly force her construct to be destroyed as it tried to spawn, gifting me big boi dmg.
I do have to admit though, in terms of anything else but a Geo dps, and even in that situation, he can be pretty useless if you aren't speccing into him.
Initially before yelan existed i used him with my hutao, zhongli and xingqiu because that was the best possible comp i could have back then, but when yelan came albedo went bye bye cause she was just better. It really sucks that albedo wasn’t any other element he would have been so much better
NGL albedo carried me throughout the game up to v2.4. mostly because back then i wasn't sure how to effectively build my other characters but albedo was easy because i just had to toss my def% artifacts on him and give him a harbinger of dawn. I've become a lot better at the game now then i was then and i have more then half my characters built to at least sub-optimal use lvls, but I only only use Albedo on my Noelle Hypercarry team for energy and off filed dmg which i do do fine in abyss with it, but i would love it if Geo got a damage reaction like "fragmentation" or something, maybe geo crystals could get the nilou bloom treatment or so.

Small thing to add:
I know this video series focuses on mainly gameplay, but I think it's important to keep in mind that Albedo has a single character quest, but all his other appearances are in limited time events. Less screentime means less interest, means also less pulls. And if you don't pull the character, there is not a chance someone would play them.
Anyway, I main this boi since his first rerun, and my goal is it to get him to C4 along with Xiao C6 one day.

I own Albedo and I actually use him more often than one would think. I still think is absolute bullroar that his best weapon is an event weapon and that Albeods event, which gave A LOT of important lore for him, was a limited time event. 😢

I did wish for albedo during his first rerun but I lost the 50/50… by the time the 2nd rerun came, I already had characters I wanted more
Good thing I´m not a meta slave and let my Albedo do anything he wants. I´m a proud main and he´s no doubt my best built character. Triple crowned and everything, despite people seething about me doing it for his Solar Isotoma. He supports the others like a champ, is great to slay weekly enemies like Shogun and Apep, provides shields for others in co-op… I´m so proud of my boy. Waiting one year for him was so worth it, I can´t even put it in words. I love him to bits.
Granted, I do feel bad for Albedo fans that missed Cinnabar Spindle, for this weapon makes him even more of a powerhouse. I definitely agree that Hoyo isn´t fair at all gatekeeping this sword from future Albedo havers.
I heard a rumor that geo is going to be buffed in Fontaine, and I honestly hope it´s true. Geo characters are awesome and they deserve more love.
