people said warframe potential is wasted 4 years ago and they say it now. gamrs live for like 8 years already. have the devs changed anything? no they didnt lmao.
while idiots still playing and paying, no one will change anything
W take if only he was chinese
I'm a new subscriber cuz i saw all your vid you're talking facts you are right at every word so calm so informative clearly explain.
Im a Hardcore and a casual player too if the game has hard features imma turn my switch to hardcore and im a beast in it and then if i want to be casual i can switch back in causal player thats why there's no hard games for me and im confident saying that cuz i know myself better than anyone.
I agree 100%. Still 3 more regions which means more room for improvement so fingers crossed. 🤞
Hunter x Hunter, neat. Genshin E-Sports when?
I haven't been doing my dailies lately that i did for 700+ days because the story sucks anyway, i don't like the exploration because it is boring stamina management with no fun movement tech and i finished the game already being beyond strong enough to breeze through everything.
I like you, but your mixed or contradictory opinions and takes that confuses me. Sometimes you’d be like “I don’t got time to go hard on this game, don’t got time to learn these try hard ass sweaty combos cause I got an actual real life” and then you got these type of takes as you stated in the video why harder sweaty endgame content is necessary. I understand wanting endgame more than anything, it’s my most wanted thing in Genshin but at least stay consistent my brotha.
Genshin impact full potential won’t be reached because China as a nation is weak minded so as their state presentative pussy Winnie the Pooh get his feeling hurt or talk shit about the state you fucked financially
I love genshin the way they are now. I'm not a hardcore player. Genshin is the place where I can relax from my daily job in real life. I disagree if genshin turns into competitive game. Genshin is waaaaaaaaaaaaaay waaaaaaay more popular on its own way. I think genshin is better on their own way.
The ultimate of “Why Not Both” question.
Seriously, give me at least a world boss that challenge the co-op. If not, it should go to full offline mode.
Still I’m impressed how well he can articulate and asses his Point of View! Max Skills and why I like this channel. He seems like a casual but actually is a Try-Hard at heart ❤️ keep that content comig
I already feel apathetic towards genshin tbh. I'm seeing all this videos about Nilou being meh, Albedo, and how you should save because omg the archon is coming, and I'm like… what's the point?
the thing about genshin is, i dont think it can have a competitive endgame
those examples about league of legends, professional football etc… those are games that have a pro competitive player vs player scene which is something genshin isn't ever designed for, genshin's not supposed to be an eSport like CSGO or DOTA.
with that being said, yes there is a distinction between competitive scene vs hardcore endgame content, genshin is lacking in the latter and it is understandably disappointing, though at the same time i have to wonder if they do make such content and it is super difficult, would there be f2p or low spenders complaining about how such content is pay to win because as you know in some cases for certain characters you need to buy constellations to unlock full potential
Subscription earned.
Well im just sitting like, Damn how much do I have to complain and say what this game needs too be so incredible. But from what it looks like the company prefer giving this game about another year or two and just kill it off. They have other games coming out. It sucks to see potential Die, Something as a Weekly community Boss would be awesome. Do this quest unlock this Boss and as a community do a trillion damage. Rewards can vary, one of these from player card, 3 fragile Resin, A weapon Blue Print, A weekly Boss material of your choosing. Even giving on of these Rewards would be nice. Again I Hype up things they Could Even tho I know they wont add
True Endgame exist in PvP not PvE.
Genshin for 2 yrs existing, avoiding P2W aspect by not creating PvP with Characters C0 vs C6.
Instead introducing other methods PvP in the form of Card Games, Hide & Seek or similar games in the future.
About Spiral Abyss endgame. If they keep continuing adding similar content w/ same difficulty. It will actually give player excessive anxiety to catch up, aka Casuals.
Games like Elden Ring also suffers in Endgame cuz any content you beat in PvE becomes boring.
Once you beat Endgame. It’s only a matter of time for ppl again to complain (which never solves the issue) Endgame is just a term to ask for a new content.
Therefore, my conclusion anything related with PvP will always have the repetitive and challenging content u all ppl want.
So it’s a matter of time Genshin will make permanent content involving PvP (Card Game)
However, if they’re making endgame somehow would allow players to join instead of the minority like in Spiral Abyss.
If they want the game to be about the story and exploration than that is a valid direction. It does throw up a few questions though:
1. Why is there no story or exploration end game?
2. Why is the combat system the biggest area of inovation where as the story especially is lacking innovation in its presentation entierly? I think the story is awesome but its presentation through walls of text dialouges, telling not showing feels like it got stuck in the early 2000s.
3. Why is this a live service game? There are many games that focus on story and exploration. You buy them play the story, explore the world and buy the next one. Live service games have a need to keep you engaged for a much longer time. I get that predatory gatcha monetisation is attractive for a company but they have to understand that the game they proclaim to makes needs to be groundbreaking and inovative in more areas to cater to both its genre and being a live service game.
What it boils down to is that they are making a bad version of the game they are proclaiminnnng to make and at the same time not developing the potential great game that they have. If they fully embrace either or both (because action rpg and story driven are in no way exclusive to each other) their tree would really be a monument. Its a shame to see so much potential wasted when parts of the game have such flashes of briliance. Try talking to profesional musicians who don't play the game about its sound track and sound design for instance.
One feedback on the video. When you talk about the competetive nature, you are fully aware that that does not equal pvp. However the people you adress might not have delved into this topic as much. Especially when you then bring up games such as League of Legends. You clarify what you mean pretty well later in the video. Some of those watching, whom you might want to inspire to think about these things may well have left already on the assumption that you want genshin to be a pvp game or esports viable. Obviously that is not your point at all and talking about the destinction of what competetive can mean earlier might be helpful. Perhaps I am totally overthinking this but it crossed my mind several time while watching.
Have a great day 🙂
I respectfully disagree. Pvp, competition, scoreboards, raids with its strict participation criteria, winning and losing, these wouldn't make any sense in BotW, why would it in Genshin?
C6 characters would stomp on C0s, weapons are their own 240 pulls pity juggernaut, people on mobile would be stomped by pc players and so on, think of a game like Uncharted, The Last of Us, it doesn't make sense.
A solution is always available, just like there's a Black Desert and Naraka for every Crimson Desert, there's a ToF or ZZZ or Honkai for every Genshin.
Also have you heard of Dissidia NT? a pvp focused spin-off of Final Fantasy with all of its flashy combats, didn't make it big compared to its single player origin.
The fact that there is not a proper option of some form of competitive goal for those who want it is a serious issue. I'm a more story and character based issue. I'm a lore nut who writes fan fiction, collects at least a copy of every character, and knows all of them inside out. My highest rank in Abyss is 10-2. I go in a few nights a cycle, give it a shot, and see how I can do. It's not my main thing, but I do like to test my units. Refusal to provide opportunities for more competitive players to test the characters they've spent weeks, months, or years honing because other people are offended they want to do that in a single player game is absolute and utter insanity.
It kinda expected after a year tbh.
Just accept this game for what it is, you know, I know, everybody know, exploration, story and events will be the only things now.
I however keeping an eye out for ZZZ, it does seem much more combat oriented and have more hope for try hard people there.
Yeah, I now always feel like Genshin can't fulfill my needs in gaming. However, Team Fortress 2 can. I know it's a totally different game, but still, that's just shows how good TF2 is in fulfilling player's needs. Needs in fun gameplay, and needs in tryharding.
In any case, you've made a great video. Thank you!
This is exactly why I switched to Tower of Fantasy as the endgame content there has more depth and substance than Genshin does. There's actual purpose of being the best or at least strive to be better. The reason why its a game is the purpose of gameplay primarily. Why go to a game to for its story (with the exception of story-centric games like Life is Strange) when you can just go find yourself a goddamn movie or series to watch. And secondly, I guarantee that 95% of the players back then when Genshin is about to release or had just released were thinking about the game's mechanics like any gamer would, very few only gave a fuck about the story if there were any because no one knows of the story yet. The people that say that Genshin is for the story are only coping from knowing that genshin is only for the casuals.
Just like in life: lose your sense of purpose in something and you'll eventually give up on that something, whether it be your job, significant other, hobby, friends, interests, crafts, etc.
I really like this game I say at least maybe the creator should think about this.. maybe one extra spiral abyss where it’s like a survival mode where u can see how good u did against other players. And get rewarded for being in the top 3 maybe with most damage dealt or fast wave u cleared just a lil idea I have which I think we’ll work out for everybody what do u guys think?
So true. I felt completely defeated and cheated after I read that interview. My resin is capped, weekly bosses, dailies are not done. I just log in to claim my Velkin because I paid for it. There is simply no point, it sucked out any little enjoyment I had from the game. Hell even current battle event isn't fun anymore because I know it will go away soon so what's the point. Was really waiting for Alhaitham because daddy but now I don't really care, it's just pixels. Looks like I cling to the game just for the sake of it now, really.
Honestly, I don't think it's just the community of casual players, Hoyoverse hasn't shown an ounce of effort towards providing anything endgame for 2 years. So a bunch of people either left or subscribed to the mindset of accepting what they get. What else is there to do? Quit? I desperately wish they'd add endgame and listen to the playerbase, but I'm also not going to quit the game. Let's just hope 😶
Great insight. Open my 👀.
Keep this discussion. DEEP
What endgame content would you suggest? League of Legends is very different from Genshin in that the 1% is determined by skill rather than money. In Genshin, the "1% who would push the game to new heights" are "leviathans" with the current best characters at C6 and their signature weapons at R5.
Any form of content that pits against each other on the basis of their accounts' strength would invariably see the "leviathans" with C6 R5 at the top. Any form of content that has increasingly difficult content beyond that of floor 12 of the Spiral Abyss would gradually make prior characters irrelevant, which I believe is not what Hoyoverse wants for this game. Someone else said that in Genshin, Hoyoverse sells idols, not meta.
====
I had an idea where they rework the Spiral Abyss into something like the Labyrinth, where players literally descend into an abyss, battling increasingly difficult waves of enemies as they descend. However long it takes players to reach the bottom determines how many stars they get.
That is not something I expect Hoyoverse to implement in the game anytime soon, sadly…probably when Snezhnaya releases.
Really good video! I was kind of in the camp of Hoyoverse having made the correct business decision, but you've convinced me that there is another side to the argument.
I guess there is some value in giving the "top 1%" of players a playground to express their creativity, which in turn could also help them refine the game based on that.
But unfortunately they seem to be focused on having multiple games at once, leaving genshin with a very finite amount of content for you to give the other games a try. Most people tend to spend in bursts rather than playing the game consistently for 2 years like the "hardcores" would so they wanna cash in on the people who treat this as a singleplayer game and leave after they finish the story.
"How can you try hard when nobody else around you is even trying?" – that's some gaming philosophy right there.
Truth!
That's it, MiHoYo just need to watch this one video and we're done, no more discussion. It's pretty clear that we need both side of the coin, but right now they're literally trying to kill the other side. When you expanding it above this small hole of "genshin", try hards actually do help more than harm.
When it comes to matters or issues like this, I would rather come to your channel and listen to what you have to say rather than going to other CCs. The way how you present your infos and opinions is so amazing. You’re definitely keeping it real and being mature about it rather than being a hypocritical angry loud white man that keeps yelling at the computer screen (I’m pretty sure most know Who I’m talking lol )
Also that hunter x hunter reference was beautiful af
You'll notice that in surveys when they collect feedback on let's say the last event, each and every option that they provide to investigate your dissatisfaction is always geared towards dumbing down that feature. Dissatisfied with the combat? Options are [combat too hard], [enemies too strong], [locations too far], [getting prizes takes too long] etc. Being disinterested in the specified content due to lack of challenge is never suggested as an option. You have to open end that shit manually.
If you talk about potential then it's not just about wanting to push the envelope in "endgame", it's about dumbing down and simplifying every single aspect in the game. They want it broad, not tall.
Smack can't miss
Ultimately Genshin was just a waste of time with some amazing moments scattered in. Hoyoverse made bank 🏦, and will keep growing and funding projects, but it isn’t for the people that love the game, it’s for the money. If they were truly for everyone playing their game they would work hard on content for anyone and everyone, hardcore and casual. Such a shame, it really did have potential to go from botw clone to one of the all time greatest games to date. Now I just see a game that wastes time for no reason. Time gating powering up your characters for 0 reason. It’s a joke. The whole in game model is thrown out the window. Really is sad
100% agree with what you said. The game will never reach full potential if they aren't willing to push the fighting system. Not even talking about "Musk Reef" specifically but any future fighting focus content/event.
