Hoyoverse has been releasing more and more niche weapons in Genshin Impact. Even though I am very excited for Baizhu, I am not a big fan of his weapon. What are your thoughts on Baizhu and his weapon thus far?

We need a new hp sword, rhe only option for that right now would be The Nilou' signature weapon and not everyone can provide resources to get so many wishes for a weapon that, at the end of a day, is so niche

If I don’t get Nahida during the current banners (comment made: 4/17/23) then yes I will be pulling for Baizhu. Though even if I do get Nahida I’ll still be pulling on Baizhus banner till I get at least one Kaveh. Though obtaining Baizhu at that point will not be the priority. Nor will I be pulling on the weapon banner, I may pull on the current one to attempt to gain Nahida weapon. But that’s all, that banner is such a pain to pull on in general, my god

It was leaked that Baizhu weap increase CR and DMG, Baizhu was thought to be a DPS at that time. But now, HYV have made it dirty
Prototype Amber (4 star) and Thrilling Tales (3 star) can do what Jadefall does but better, so why tf is it a 5 star weapon?!

If it were a crit weapon, would ninguang technically have been able to use it? Do crystallize shields count as shields when the shards are created or when someone picks them up?
5star weapons are often specific weapons and done characters are more unique that is all
I pull only for weapons I really want, I went all in for Xiao's, Cyno's and Hu Tao's weapon because I love them and do want their weapons, the rest doesn't really matter, I do a 10 pull on weapon banner I would like to have, just in case or more if I don't mind losing. No stress 👌
Prototype Amber is the 4star version of Baizhu's weapon. So if u r pulling for Baizhu, u can have prototype amber as a cheap option while with the same substate and passive as his signature.
I’m not gonna pull for baizhu so I wont pull for the weapon either, but honestly I don’t read the description cuz I pretty much have no idea what it means so I’m not gonna read an essay just to not understand what I’m reading lol

If you think about the weapon of baizhu and kokomi, kokomi's weapon is better than baizhu's, baizhu can apply the passive of the donut better than kokomi and the weapon value more in baizhu hands ratter than kokomi

My problem is HOW specific some of these weapons are. Some are straight up useless on other characters, even though they should at LEAST be okay on them. I don't want all weapons to be Staff of Homa's, mist splitters or Jade spears. But please make them at least somewhat usable on every character. Doesn't have to be great, however it should work to some extend.
Baizhu will be the first character that can actually utilize the memory of dust

Okay, that's a lie, I've done it twice.
Once, I got Xiao's weapon. The second time, I got Zhongli's weapon. But those two are the only ones that get their signature weapons. I will not pull on the weapon banner unless I have very good reason to. There are other weapons that are better or just as good. No need to spend on a weapon.
His weapon is super pretty. I don't really care what the weapons do, I just need my characters to do damage and kill my enemies so I can finish my daily commissions. I will pull for Baizhu though but I don't have enough primogems for his weapon so I won't get it sadly

But why did u show Wanderer's weapon? It's a really good thing, it's suitable for nearly every dd catalyst. I use it on Ninguang, it's literally one of the nicest weapons for dps

I only really buy welkins, and have yet to pull for a 5 star weapon. It just feels like a scam :’D
Just craft a protype amber for him or thrilling tales. Both bring similar or superior value than Baizhu's signature
The point is that probably most of the times you will play Bai Zhu with chars who doesn’t need so much ATK so imo my fav is craft catalyst

Nilous weapon is actually great because bountiful bloom nilou is actually one of the best aoe teams and the weapon makes it even stronger
They want to make weapons feel the best on their respective characters while sometimes also giving niche characters buffs such as Nilou's weapon, it works great on her and Kuki making her great for hyperbloom
As a F2p I usually never got for the weapons unless I’m absolutely certain

I am pulling for Kaveh on Baizhu’s banner, and I’m likely to get a five star. If I do get Baizhu, he’s probably gonna be benched. I have no idea how I’d use him😅 maybe when he actually comes out and people share how to use him best and who he works with I’ll consider using him
