Once again the Lantern Rite Festival has returned to Genshin Impact with one of the more rewarding events that include your choice of a FREE 4 star Liyue character!

This choice might be a bit overwhelming for newer players, so I made this video where I briefly take about each character and what they do to make the decision much easier.

But also, don’t feel too pressured with this choice, even if you don’t end up liking the character down the line, it really isn’t a big deal.

Also, most of the characters are available on the standard banner and also reappear on many limited banners as well.

  2. If you took a drink everytime I said the word "character" when talking about Xiangling, you would be drunk all month long.

    Not really happy with how that part went so I'll add a bit more about Xiangling here:
    – Xiangling does not have an ICD (internal cooldown) like most characters do when it comes to her burst, this makes her especially good for elemental reactions like Melt or Vaporize.
    – While she might seem good for groups of enemies because of the nature of her burst, she's also good for single target because of the no ICD, and because it spins so fast it will constantly hit bosses. As long as you stick to them!
    – She can be quite hard to build as she needs tons of offensive stats as well as plenty of energy recharge, but once you do she becomes a powerhouse.
    – Xiangling is also sometimes nicknamed, "Queen of the Polearms" because she's not picky at all with her weapon options, you can opt in to go for either a more offensive weapon that provides damage, or give her a support weapon like Favonius Lance for more utility and energy recharge and both will work fine.
    – Xiangling (and Xingqiu) are used in some of the strongest teams that Genshin has to offer, especially for F2P or low spenders, DON'T MISS OUT ON HER!

  3. man, this sucks because I need both Yun Jin and Xingqiu C6 for my Yoimiya, both are at C0 and my luck is horrendous
    imma edit this with my thoughts after the video, i hope i'll be able to decide lol

Hi, I got Gaming C2 from Nahida Banner and lost to Dehya, Now I'm guaranteed 20 more pulls to go into the soft pity(planning to get Nadhida), I don't have any Dendro character other than traveler and collei (not leveled up), I was planning to go for Yaoyao and I want to save for Kazuha in 4.5. Now I'm torn between C3 Gaming and Yaoyao (C0), should I give 10 pulls in the next banner see if I get a Yaoyao and build 10 pity for Kazuha, or give up Yaoyao and go for C3 Gaming.

    I like your videos, they are slow and pleasant.

  13. Well, all my 4 Star Liyue Characters are already C6. Except for Yaoyao with C3 and Gaming with C2. Makes me wonder if i should go for Yaoyao's C4, since if Nilou gets a Rerun that could be handy when i put them in a Bloom Team with Nahida and Furina. As for Gaming, i want to build him next after Xianyun and his C3 might also nice to have. What do you think?
