I would really love If it would Like Take lets say 100 abyss stars to Get that unit and over a few abyss resets you would reach that number(f2p Players will get that unit slower since me a f2p can only get to 11-3 with with max stars, and people with a strong Account get that unit faster) we all know it wont happen but lets at least dream
I think Honkai often puts older exclusive characters/gacha gear or their components into various shops, reward pools, BP and the crafting system, though I do think that game has more of a tendency for characters to become generally outdated, and it's abyss etc. have a more competitive scoring system that compares you against other players.
I doubt it'll happen, but something I'd like to see would be if they added something like maybe 1/100 pieces to get a random standard banner 5 star for every weekly boss. That's something I could see them doing and it would make me wanna do the weekly bosses because rn I've already got all my characters invested in and I have no reason to do them
I think its better if we can grind for a character like how you can get characters in the old Grandchase
I wanna craft an Albedo. He's a homuculos so technically he can be crafted and I really just wanna raise my lvl 1 r 5 cinnabar spindle. But yeah nice idea. It's also good for bringing in new players, they'll be reassured at the fact that they'll get a character that would be worth the grind.
This but first the resin cap and regen needs to be 10x faster.
Imagine "I won't have any resin for the next 2 years because I'm grinding for Diluc C6 and use all of it on that".
Wow, that sounds like a pretty compelling idea that sounds actually fun and rewarding for our grinding!

Not gonna lie, I like the idea quite a lot.
Only thing I could argue is that since characters are their major selling point/form of content, I wouldn't make the chance of getting a specific 5* character "X" for free timegated.
I mean, imagine if you couldn't get your favourite character because you had to work too much during the event or you simply joined late.
Personally, I think it could be an event like spiral abyss: it refreshes every N days and each cycle you can get some points.
The points allow you to buy stuff in a shop similar to the one in the teapot.
BUT the characters in shop don't cycle, they only add latest characters keeping the old ones, so that even a year later you can always get the ones you want: just at different paces relatively to everyone else.
I'd love the idea, tho.. I doubt it could ever happen, but I like it nontheless lol

There can be an “X-Crown” added. These crowns add a constellation to any craftable five-star unit. They should be as rare as the current crowns, or even rarer.
Extension: they can be used for the Limited and Standard five-star units too, but at escalating cost. To go from C0 to C1 is two X-crowns, C1 to C2 is three, C4 to C5 is six, etc. Theoretically, if you had 27 X-crowns, you can jump a newly acquired non-craftable five-star unit right to C6.
You can’t use an X-crown if the character has at least one unused standard constellation promotion item.
What about implementing the story/lore? The character would on the field as an NPC around the area of their activation domain. Once you collect enough credits for their C0, a new top-level dialogue option will appear. This will unlock their Story Quest. If you activate and finish that quest, a new dialogue option will appear to explicitly invite them.

It’s six additional months to reach C6. You need an initial month for their C0.
…hoyoverse wins (because the whales are spending, and maybe small/regular spenders now spend some primos into refills), but I'm still of the opinion of having resin-free options, maybe if you spend resin you get 5 points, if not you get 1 point, heck I would be ok with half or a quarter of a point for resin-free, the point is (pun intended), those who can refill will refill to get it faster and those who can't can still play the loop.
Crafting is a weird word to use on characters imo, but I like the ideal.
Craftable 5 star characters, Wagner. Geo blacksmith Wagner or anemo user Teppei. Do it Mihoyoverse! Seriously speaking Valk…they won't do it. They want money from their banners over working towards something as neat as this.
That's a great idea. Hoyoverse will finally be able to say that a new character is actually a game content, hehehehehe
that could be a nice idea but I'm afraid you are dreaming , they want money and that's not with 3h play time in china for kids that will allow them to go after that , when you see that they have locked someone in a phone booth in shangai with that covid thing , we need be realistic with what china allows and with such what a game company can do

I would like something like the 4 star invitation system but for five stars. Basically grind for x amount of points and get the equivalent of a 90 pull to use on banner.
The thing is, this could be real. Hoyoverse already has this in Honkai, where if you get enough "pieces", you can unlock any character (Even the strongest ones).
When I play Honkai or Punishing Gray Raven the thing I see with all those shops that sells fragments either it character or weapons is how convoluted everything is. I have little idea where everything is, in fact Durandal A rank battlesuit is now SS rank because I been repeating her expedition over and over. To be fair I like play Honkai on and off, PGR just restarted literally a few days ago when I heard the delay gonna come out, but what if it really is convoluted and Genshin version would be just as a mess as well, what next?

I sure hope Hoyo thinks about average play times of their patrons too instead of just their revenue. This is a really good idea, I wouldn't mind grinding months for a character or weapon that's really good.

I had the same reaction to the survey XD I had to laugh 🤣🤣😭 kinda like farming character fragments in Honkai Impact which I think is a cool way to obtain a character besides gacha.
