Version 4.0 special program live stream will broadcast tomorrow and with that, hoyoverse will release the trailer of version 4.0 and introduce new areas, some characters and their kits. They will also release some codes worth 300 primogems so don’t forget to watch it.
Since hoyoverse will release new characters as the fontaine patch will progress, players will have a high chances to get the old characters which they don’t have at the moment.
That said, the rerun banners of version 4.0 have been revealed by trusted sources, and we have the official announcement of new characters who will be released in 4.0.
Lyney, lynette and freminet are the three new units who will be added to the game in the next patch. Lyney is a five star pyro DPS bow user and the rest two are four stars. Lynette is an anemo sword user whereas freminet is cryo claymore user. Other than lyney no new five star characters will get their banners in 4.0, so that leaves us with three rerun banners.
Yelan, childe and zhongli are the other characters who will most likely be getting their reruns in version 4.0.
Lyney and yelan will appear in the first half of version 4.0, whereas childe and zhongli are expected to get their reruns in the second half.
Zhongli got his previous rerun in 3.0, child in version 3.2 and yelaan got her last rerun in version 3.4.
After 4.0 which will be version 4.1, two new five star characters will be released, and they are wriothesley and neuvillette. Both of these characters will be of five star rarity, so they will get their separate banners. Wriothesley is a cryo polearm, who is expected to be physical DPS. Neuvillette on the other hand is a hydro character who uses claymore weapons but it might change in the future. Other than these two, the other two slots will be filled by rerun banners.
Raiden shogun and neuvillette are expected to get their reruns in the first phase of version 4.1. Raiden shogun previously got her rerun in version 3.3.
And in the second phase wriothesley will get his banner along with arataki itto. Itto also got his last rerun in version 3.3.
Now let’s talk about version 4.2. The hydro archon furina will be released as a playable unit in version 4.2. And she will get her banner in the first phase. Other than hydro archon, no new five star unit is expected to be playable in 4.2. So the other three slots will be filled by rerun banners.
Byzhu will surely get his rerun banner in the first phase of 4.2 along with furina.
In the second phase, kamisato ayato should get his rerun banner along with Hu tao. Both of these units haven’t gotten their reruns in a while. Ayato’s last got his rerun during version 3.3, whereas hu tao got her last rerun in version 3.3.
For those who are thinking about albedo’s rerun, he will most likely get his rerun in version 4.3 as there are rumors going on about geo buff. Hoyoverse is also planning to release three banners per patch and that should also begin in version 4.3.

hydro claymore? pass, never liked claymore characters, if its not claymore.. then still a low maybe since I have C2 Yelan and Kokomi… so not sure what his role is that those 2 can't fill.
