Here is my Genshin Impact Tier list for 1.2 + the new spiral abyss. There is a lot of wiggle room that depends on your weapons, constellations, and enjoyment of characters πŸ™‚

  1. Maybe I should do a google doc and make a community list? You can all vote on the character ranks or something!
    CORRECTION ON BARBARA: I went back and looked at footage, and she gets flinched from the electro cleanse BUT I was spamming some other abilities and shields so I didn't notice. She is still fantastic on every other floor and some of the best healing + her weapon buffs everyone. She is cracked. Her main weapon makes everyone stronger = more value
    I am biased for Jean. She is good. But she is a 5 star. Most people don't have a way to get her, and most 4-star healers and supports can do things just as well as her IMO

I feel like some of the reasoning is inconsistent… He said electro reactions aren't great so he put Fischl in S rank instead of SS but then how come Klee and Childe are in the same tier as Keqing? And about the Jean/Barbara thing, I haven't used my Jean yet but Barbara definitely isn't almost as good as Bennett. Maybe if we're only looking at it in terms of healing only… but see this is why tier lists don't make sense in general

  24. I really wanted to see how Genhin's tierlists evolved since the game launched (as I never really was a fan of them I wanted to see if they became better). Needless to say I was quite dissapointed.
    Sooo I feel like there's a lot of weird things with this tier list, and it's obviously biased cause at the end of the day, every character is busted with the right sets of artifacts or character combo (Lisa becomes insane with Mona for example) . The one thing that I just cannot agree with is Ningguang in B tier?
    Like, where ? Just cause she's geo ? I don't think it's such a bad trade for her kit (especially in the new spyral abyss) . With C2 you can litterally E, ult, E, with the addition of the 15% geo damage if you go through your wall + any sort of damage buff as in Xianling E which adds 10% damage she is insane. With the right setup, you can deal just as much, if not more, damage than many 5* characters.

    But the thing that I found the weirdest is how you use some weapons as an argument for some characters (such as resetting the CD) but you never talk about the best weapon for her, which is by far the most broken thing in this game, which is the BP weapon. If you've gotten the BP catalyst it basically means that : each time you deal damage with a basic attack, your E and Q deal 20% more damage, and Everytime you deal damage with your E or Q, your basic attacks deal 20% additional damage.
    We've had 3 BPs so far, so if you got all 3 catalysts, 20% becomes 30%. I just don't see how a 30% permanent damage increase with a weapon that gives insane stats could not be mentioned.

    As I said Ningguang can just spam her E and Q more than probably anyone else in the game so far, so that means you have a permanent 30% buff on your basics and E/Q.

    I really think this just shows how tierlists are really dumb in this kind of game because at the end of the day every characters are viable in one way or another, but the whole thing is just really misleading. I just wish you had a more detailed list of criterias if you really want to do this seriously to show the pros and cons of every character instead of making some weird innacurate tier list.
    Moral of the story: play who you think is fun and try to find the best team for the characters you like.

    Oh and btw, this totally also applies to the "SS" characters : If Klee is your main DPS, then Venti becomes the worst support you can have in your team while Sucrose becomes the absolute best without a doubt.

  36. What a testimonial to his knowledge in the game. That's not to say he can't have his own opinions, but his reasoning is definitely bullshit for most characters
