I could imagine Genshin had good intentions in trying to support Twitch streamers that stream Genshin Impact. However, I do not think this was the best way to go about it.

MiHoYo just being MiHoYo, nothing new here. What did you all expect?
aside from using streamers' profile info without asking (which is of course not okay), the kfc glider was never free to begin with even during the event in china and you only got it by purchasing a specific menu which probably also was around 10 bucks.
the 2 months wait is probably just to make sure that people don't prematurely cancel their subscription to have the money returned again (as it is common with anything you buy online lol)
they would very likely not have been able to organize a GLOBAL kfc collab, and even if they did, i'm pretty sure veggie players and non-kfc-likers would complain that they couldn't eat the menu they're supposed to purchase to get the glider and that it would waste food
and if they just straight up sold the wings for 10 bucks in the in-game shop people would complain that the chinese players got more value for their buck during the kfc event
let's face it, there's no way this wouldn't have ended in a disaster lol
