  1. "tee-of"
    just kidding lol
to your question, the only possible answer is yes, and one of the commenters, Galahad, sums it perfectly (to be fair I am not really in the know bout September – December release titles)

  2. I’ll be honest. I’m more interested in Zenless zone zero. Than this game Wich is a shame cuz there’s no telling when ZZZ will come to console. And I prefer to play on that than pc.

  3. I don't think there's such a thing as bad timing in the sense of releasing a game especially to "compete" against genshin impact….. smh

Sumeru is going to last about 5 seconds initially because all people do is blast through 20-40 days of content on day 1 and then have the nerve complain that there's no content….

I don't like tower of fantasy because it's just a honkai impact rip off…

It's just a game that's essentially leaching off Hoyo's success.

But i guess i'll try it albeit reluctantly.

  4. Very hyped for TOF and I really like what they did with their pity wish system. But will still play Genshin, will just focus on the limited events then hop over to TOF 😀

  5. Not sure if this has been mentioned yet, but chances are if this game turns a good first month playerbase, it may bump up the 2nd anniversary awards a bit. HOPIUM

  6. The only bad part about it for me is that it releases 3 days after the start of my school🥲 after sumeru releases, I'll be busy with school and only have time for either genshin or tof..which I think it's obvious about on what I'll end up focusing on lol

  7. The only thing I will say is this:
Genshin Impact (Sumeru): 2 weeks of content then put it in the freezer for 2 months
Tower of Fantasy (Release): Brand NEW game with a ton of milestones to cover + ACTUALL end-game

  8. All sumeru is gonna do for me is make me split time between both games. Since I play Genshin now only for new zones and story. I’ll pull if I have the primos but largely play with the OP characters I already have.

  9. But Its currently Genshin's dead patch phase.

Some people have the GAA done, most people are just doing the same mundane things and even the beta test ends at the same date.

What better timing than to try luring people when your biggest competitor can only offer dailies and useless artifacts.

If they prolong the release, Sumeru's actual release will just stomp them. Anniversary will come along too, specially the drama it will ensue that could take months. Then theres prolly gonna be more hype at the following patches with new harbingers involved and new areas.

Delaying everything just to remove hype from an existing playerbase wont please investors. Theyre already luring in new players with temporary generosity because they know they have such a big competition, although TOF's hype and issues will probably be the main highlight before people go back to Sumeru. If Hoyoverse makes a mistake of timegating Sumeru, then what will people do if they cant play the hyped game? Play TOF.

Thats the only edge TOF has now, is that it has multiple end game and things to do in it. The gadgets alone look more exciting for exploration compared to genshin's very mediocre ones. Different combat, an unfamiliar area and a game where you actually get to play with other people.

If it tanks, thats the company's problem and soon will be ours. Coz if no one can beat genshin, then hoyoverse will repeat the same mediocre anniversary and invest all of your money spendings on ZZZ and star rail and probably a new office lmao.
