  1. New players won't notice until they already have mihoyo's entire cock inside their ass. They don't need to change anything because by the time a new player notices they've already been hooked by the game. They'll have no choice but to continue.

  2. I still haven't leveled Yae's talents past 6 because I don't want to sit through Raiden's story quests. I'm sure they are decent quests for some people but I just have no interest in them and I haven't been playing much anyways.

  3. I agree with your ideas. Rerun banners are probably the only work around. Like Venti’s banner is nice to see so that new players can still pull on the featured banner and have an alternate character to farm for

  4. Mihoyoverse is ran by a circus troupe. Now imagine all regions available and Mihoyoverse still took this mindless approach…yeah, this path will not help them whatsoever if they continue to follow it without significant changes that will help newer players.

  5. I’m actually fairly confident that hoyoverse will come up with something in the near future, especially when new regions are released. Getting all the way to Inuzuma may be difficult for now, but it’s also “fine” for right now.

  6. Wait so new players can’t use yae miko? I thought they could, you just couldn’t level them up past level 20 or 40. Which wouldn’t matter since the beginning of the game would be easy anywyss

  7. This happened to me when I started playing because my friends play together and I pulled Shenhe, she's not even from Inazuma let alone Enkanomiya, she's a Liyue character but you can't level her past 40 without doing that double Vishap boss from the end of Enkanomiya, it completely deflates you and makes you not even hype for characters as a new player because most, you can't even use, like this last banner, Raiden and Kokomi, both need Inazuma materials and bosses from far into those areas, but a new player has no way of knowing that by looking at the banner. I can't even imagine how any new players will want to play pnce there are Sumeru characters or beyond. Ancension material requirements should not be based in a single area, Monstadt and Liyue should have all the low level ascensions and then require stuff from Inazuma on to match the level curve of where you should be in the story.

  8. Another thing here : The new players have to farm adventure exp too to get the new chapters, example in Mondstadt, if u played casually and did archon quests u had to get like 5 more ranks to get the next chapter. But in Inazuma, you have to fight 2 sides of Signora, survive 2 fights with Raiden, plus a ton of quests, making it almost impossible since most of the events require high levels which those ppl dont get, so beginners are basically locked halfway through the game, but thank god they atleast do reruns on Liyue and Mondstadt characters. Also meaning that they miss most of the primogems we are getting in all the events.

  9. Its not even just character its also events. Gotta beat a certain part of the story to participate in the festival to get Xingqiu. I dont know if theres a easy fix for both characters and events other then ignoring continuity or making inazuma accessible even tho it wont make sense story wise

  10. I just want to give a quick update because Hoyoverse released the 2.6 Patch notes and it states that the Chasm Underground Mines will BE accessable after completing Chapter 1 Act 3 "A new Star approaches" and a new world Quest so I take back my previous comment about how you can only ascend Ayato after finishing Inazuma. My comment was based on the new Archon Quest with Dainsleif that you only unlock after finishing Chapter 2 Act 3. But it turns out you can explore at least Part of the Chasm before playing that Archon Quest. So Future characters who need Materials from the Chasm are actually better off than Inazuma Characters.

  11. I have played this game for about 2-3 weeks now and hit AR 40 yesterday and in my opinion this is a non issue. Yes i know that getting a 5* unit to c6 only costs 1120 primogems. But lets be a bit more realistic and say that you need 60+ pulls to get your first 5*, by the time you got that amount of primogems you are already talking to Beidou about renting a boat. on top of that even if you are lucky and get a character early having them at lvl 40 will get you most of the way there.

Personally i'm more concerned that 90%+ of the characters in the game are unavailable to me than that i will have to play the game to upgrade the ones i have.

  12. Alright, I'm going to take an opposing view to this type of thinking. Those of us who have been playing this game since the start have at least a year's worth of investment into this game so far. And it's been a hellva (enjoyable) journey. We do have access to all new units and the requisite materials and these are arguably proof of our progression as well as rewards for our investment in the game.

The argument that a new player should have immediate access to all of these is ludicrous. In every RPG/MMORPG game I've ever played there has always been some form of progression. In very simplistic terms, you have a starter area to learn the basics and then areas of increasing difficulty to match the players' skill and character power levels. So for example in WOW, there are many areas which are either totally inaccessible to starting characters or outright lethal to low level characters; you just have to go through the entire journey to get to the "end game" which in a constantly moving goal post as more and more content as added.

Genshin Impact in essence is no different and they do have a system (though arguably imperfect) that allow new players to progress through the game. With regards to character acquisition, this comes in form of the double banners which roughly features one new region character and one from the older regions.

To work though the first two regions new players already have access to Diluc, Jean, Mona, Keqing as well as to all of the best 4-stars to date: Xiangling, Bennett and Xingqui. All of these are more than adequate to deal with all of the challenges in the first two regions and were indeed the only ones available to veteran players back when these regions were the only ones available.

As new players catch up, they can pick up the Inazuma characters off of the re-run banners as well as the new ones that are released. Besides, once new players get to Inazuma, it really doesn't take that long to get access to all resources needed by the latest batch of characters.

So this is a non-issue, IMHO abet there is the case that for more meta-focused players not having ready access to the latest units maybe a problem. However, it does take time and resources to build adequate units to comfortably handle the last 4-floor of the Abyss. Then again we ALL had to go through this lengthy process for which there is no shortcut. Which is fine as currently, the Spiral Abyss is "the end game" and what's the point of having an end-game if everyone has access to those from the get go?

Honestly though, if I were a new player I would want to experience ALL the content and knowing that at the end of the journey I will be having access to all the latest characters and their resources is a huge plus and reward. In fact, new players might have an advantage over veteran players due to all the guides and experience of the veteran players so they even know which 5-stars to shop for without having to experiment like many of us did. And it really doesn't take that long to get access to "current" content.

  13. I like the way its setup. Characters like Yae Miko are better at later AR. If someone wants a “new character,” they will have to put in the time. Monstadt and liyuai characters appear to be built more optimally for early game. An example of this of with venti. Venti will find the most utility in floors 1-9 of the abyss. If I were to make a character recommendation to a new player it would be to exercise patience and try building their roster based on needs in the abyss.

  14. I honestly just dont care about this issue currently considering how garbage artifacts are. New players will quit once they reach AR45 and realize how disgusting artifacts are. Getting a good build takes more than a month to achieve, upwards of 5-6 months. Having to wait 1-2 weeks until you can level a character is nothing considering even if you could farm immediately… itd still require 2 weeks of farming to get the ascension mats, xp, more, talent books, etc.

  15. Having gone though worse with another game I gotten through the new player experience ok enough but it ate up a lot more time than what I was expecting which for some isn't easy due to the usual issues like employment, school, or family obligations that further limit play time. At least it was a mountain of primo gems that allowed me to get Itto and Albedo as a f2p. I agree that there needs to be an exchange system even if it were limited it would go a long ways to helping new players while allowing others to avoid bosses they are not ready for or simply just don't want to bother with plus not everyone has favorable team comps for everything.

  16. So many newbies are quitting the game right now. I sometimes join lower AR players in co op and add them. About half of them stop playing after some time. I met someone at AR 21 and they were really enjoying the game (playing like 7+ hours a day). They reached AR 37 and then they haven't been online for 24 days. I am also in a similar place myself (AR 57). Patch 2.5 was so bad that I quit halfway. Now I am back for the Chasm but thinking of switching to some other games and leaving Genshin for good if things continue the way they are (horrible artifact system, terrible enemies that just waste time with weird hit boxes, abyss is not rewarding at all compared to the amount of effort you put in to get 36 stars, weaker characters with problematic kits, lower and lower primogem awards, no late game content, etc etc). It is just sickening.

  17. I won't say this is not an issue but you can still beat all monster in Mondstatdt or Liyue with just level 40 chars, yeah maybe they can't beat it Under ten seconds but just because a character doesn't deal enough demage doesn't mean you can't play them, maybe it's true for late game players but newer players with unleveled 2 star artifacts doesn't care that much about demage

I remember when i still new, i fight my first Ruin Guard with level 20 Amber, it's really tough but fun and i managed to beat it

  18. Just wanna say I did not complete Inazuma’s story to get to Enkanomiya. I just got to where I could get my pass so I can go on islands and then ice bridged so I can get access to the ship system

  19. Yeah not only are new players unable to use newer units but they also cant do events anymore until ar 30-35. Imo the drinking event should've at least let new players do the monstadt characters in that event. This game wants casual/new players but then decides if you wanna do anything you must be an active player

  20. I'm still not 100% on board with this argument. The "can't use character" point is where I disagree. Level 40 character is usable to get through Mondstadt and Liyue content. It's not optimal but very doable. Now for characters like Yae, getting through Inazuma at level 40 is another thing all together and Genshin does need to do something for the future. What irks me about this argument is that no one is doing anything but complaining about it. There are zero videos about how a new player can use IE Ayato before reaching Inazuma.

  21. With Yelan they´re kind of addressing the problem. She needs materials from The Chasm, which is accessible at an earlier AR level than Inazuma, and also she uses Azdaha materials. So I think the best they could do is: release characters from older regions, even if they introduce new content.

  22. New gamers to genshin need to just suck it up buttercup. Older gamers have made is far. Why should they get same royal carpet treatment. Either work hard for their characters regardless and use the character they got..if all they flashy character join the same grind bandwagon.

  23. They should just add Leiben (Marvelous Merchants guy) as a permanent NPC and give him either weekly boss/region materials for areas that haven't been unlocked yet or expand the use of dream solvent to include overworld and weekly boss materials

  24. I think they should just drop the restrictions, I don't see any reason why new players shouldn't go to other lands. They should just lock the quests behind prerequisites based on chronological order of map release while letting the region open for farming.

  25. Make it so there's this little domain door thing where you can kill any world boss for no resin but only 2 times a day. Kinda kills two birds with one stone, you save people resin and you save new players having to rush through the whole game just to level up characters.

  26. I was gonna write a solution but then i realized mihoyo has never once implemented anything I said or anything that has rectified any issue i’ve had other than raiden’s ring being too bright. So im not gonna bother but just leave this comment instead lol.

  27. Agreed and not only the material some event come in inazuma and new player cant play the event
And i have another problem 🙂 it about artifact farming i think they need to adjust because you need to farm for around 2 month to get 4set from specific artifact and thats is annoying like if i want to build xiangling , mona , xingqui and beidou with emblem set so that will take for ever to build them (i'm playing emblem domain since inazuma release (maybe less than this time but you got the idea) and still didnt get 4set with good stats)
Sheeesh the comment is too long i dont think some one will read this :))

  28. Maybe this can be solved if players are able to unlock every nation at AR 30. I don't think that this would ruin the linear storyline because maybe the main storyline of finding our sibling can be separate to each nation's acts. Like for example, you could go to Liyue without beating Stormterror because the stories have nothing to do with each other.

  29. At this point, I stopped caring. HoYo keeps making one questionable implementation after another. And deep down, we all know they're already too drunk on money and feeling invincible, or secretly being held at gun point by some rulemakers out there.
