  1. The writing and voice acting in this quest is obviously amazing but something that I haven’t seen talked about much is the cinematography.

The camera work and shot framing is unusually stellar in the regular dialogue parts.

  2. My favorite genshin archon quests were shenhe's and we will be reunited, not too much happens (in terms of combat, sicne they are story heavy) but they have a MASSIVE impact on the player. That changed until sumeru, the aranara quest and "a morn a thousand roses bring" have made me the most invested on terms of story, they might be long but u arent bored in any second of it. What makes it better is that it feels really beliavable, we connect and get to be with dunyarzard long enough to get attached and dont make it seem like she was just added for shock value, the story was amazing and the dance of sabseruz was the icing of the cake. If this was just the INTRODUCTION to sumeru i cant wait to see whats in store

  3. The beeping was really immersive. I kept hearing it throughout the quest, then when I finished I still heard it. Turns out the fridge had been left open for a couple of hours.

  4. This was such a cool quest! The plot had me guessing Groundhog Day, The Matrix , and finally the South Park episode “Grounded Vindaloop”

Also, I had the same sentiment when Paimon brought up Natlan. (🗞️💥 bad Paimon)

  5. I loved this quest so much, the mystery was genuinely interesting and the "brainstorming" mechanic was a great way to let players keep track of the important clues to slowly solve the mystery. It truly feels like you're solving it with the Traveler, most other genshin mysteries where very easy to figure out early on or impossible for use to figure out ourself and just have to wait for the other characters to tell us the answer.

  6. Mihoyo got us in the palm of their hands… Playing with our emotions masterfully.
First they put us in a situation which confuses and annoy us.
Then, they make us sad for Dunyarzad, and give us a false hope which brings up some resentment
Which we take it out on the thugs… Then they bring the emotion for Dunyarzad back once we have vented out our frustration and are more ready to accept things.
"You must be exhausted" "Speaking happily with Dunyarzad felt like an eternity ago". Those definitely resonate with those who are immerse in the story.

Mihoyo wore us down, then followed by the 5 stages of grief treatment.
Denial, Anger Bargaining, Depression, Acceptance, all came into play, though in slightly different order for bargaining and anger.

It's masterfully put together, an excellent Archon Quest.

  7. haha this quest was amazing. And everytime i hear kusanali look down upon herself i remember that one meme,
"In Mondstadt we help God solve his problem, In Liyue we got caught up in Gods problem, In Inazuma God herself was the problem..and then there is Kusanali"

  8. I certainly hope the quality of the story will keep increasing as time goes on. This time was a definite tear jerker. The ending was unexpected, but it was an enjoyable experience despite the length.

  9. Fun fact: during the second time you get to pick the box for the candies. The game will take it as you chose box number 4 even if you intentionally picked a different number.

  10. The reason why telling Nilou it's a dream works is because you made her realize it was a dream first.

Rather then outright telling her. This avoids the "don't wake up a sleepwaker" problem because like you, they realized it thesmelves and gradually accepted it.
