This is one of the reason (for me) why Genshin is such a great game. Everything they release has a meaning to it. I hope they did not forget about this little detail they added though. But maybe one day they'll make a world quest about it. They're probably just waiting for another Liyue quest since we are still currently at Inazuma.
But I can't imagine how heavy this will be on our devices though. I wonder If they already have any plans for it. Because obviously this will be one of the downfall of the game. Not because its bad but because its not playable anymore….

Here's my theory if ever Blackcliff forge will get added or not:
Since 2.6 is gonna be the Chasm, There's a low chance for Blackcliff forge to get added,
If 2.6 has some world quest connected to Blackcliff forge, then it would probably get added in a version or two, just like Enkanomiya
But knowing how much Hoyoverse likes Liyue, and makes extra stories of it, They might make another Interlude chapter involving the forge, probably involving Yun Jin and Beidou, since they are acquaintances, Yun Jin is a descendant of the Yun clan, and Beidou's canonical weapon is the Blackliff Slasher
But Seeing how untouched it looks, chances are it will be forgotten by Hoyoverse and will be left untouched

– Yanfei and Eula are friend, they met at dornman port, the port is located near in dandelion field which is the un added place from mondstat

Very interesting. I’m actually not sure if I’ve ever been to this location, despite having 100% exploration progress in Liyue. I’ll have to check it out next time I play. I definitely do imagine that Hoyoverse might add something there at some point. Personally, I’d just expect a domain entrance to be added, or one of those cracks in a wall with wind blowing through for a future story quest or hangout event, or a limited time event may be set there. Maybe if the story ever has us returning to previous regions, something will get added there.

I've been mostly everywhere in current version of Teyvat but never I come to find that Blackcliff forge was right under my nose just outside of harbor.
Come to think of it in the Bar event Zhongli mentioned a village in the north Liyue where people are brewing excellent tea, I wonder if it's going to be added in the future.
No wonder prototype crescent has one of the best passives in the game

I forgot if it‘s true that the CEO of hoyoverse is chinese but if it is true then I don’t think they‘ll ever stop adding things to Liyue. If I made a game with a region that is based off my country I‘d definitely have a bias hehe

The lore behind prototype series and blackcliff series is actually interesting, tells a story of two generations from two families. 2:06 I think it was Yun Hui who designed the prototype series with the help of Han Wu, not the family of Kun.

If they do release blackcliff forge, it won’t be for another year or so. xD
It’ll likely be an in-between for the main quests, like Enkanomiya and The Chasm are.

I must say, this kind of content is miles better than some of those click-baiting, pointless channels.
I am AR56 and I actually only recently discovered the 'entrance' of blackcliff forge area, despite having the majority of Liyue at around 90% explored. I jumped off the jade chamber and suddenly found this corner that i had never been to, talk to NPCs then realised the name is the same as the weapon series in the shop.
