  1. I honestly feel sick right now. I feel like my favorite game just "died" in my heart. I really feel like it could have been so much better, and it will never reach that potential.

I have some videos I still want to make, but I really don't even feel like playing at the moment. I am really upset about this news.

  3. As a day one honkai and genshin player I can say this people might blame the company but I think it’s more of the game devs but at the same time mihoyo doesn’t care about genshin that much and the devs are probably seeing genshin as a money bag. It’s sad if you think about it, mihoyo only sees genshin as a money bag and also the devs are probably less experienced than the honkai devs since most of them started out when ggz came out. And basically what most of the genshin and honkai community can agree on is that mihoyo treats genshin as the “bread winner” and they treat honkai as there favorite daughter.

  5. I recently had the same revelations as you. Even before this article. When Genshin first came out I rode the hype train and spent an amount money I'm not proud of. Guess I'll just look at it as a learning experience….

  6. To be honest, my expectations were never that high for this kind of game to be FREE on pc, mobile, etc. I bad this expectations of it being limited in the areas that were possible.

Starting out completely f2p, and then it moving on to a ‘f2p’ game where you have to pay money to be able to efficiently move throughout the game (needing to buy crystals to convert to primos to get more resin bc more characters and so on). So I can’t say I’m too shocked tbh

  7. Guys to be fair some people don't want to farm and stuff they don't play to do big damage and basically what their talking about is they don't want newer players to feel pressured to build their characters excessively aka beat the abyss plus whatever they would add ( if they did )

  8. # Actual anxiety causing issues in Genshin Impact:
    * Loosing 50/50 on banners.
    * Missing on limited time weapons and stories from events.
    * Resin cap, which actually makes us grind for like ages.
    * Not being able to get enough primogems even if u get welking moon and do daily comissions.

  9. They are giving out a statement that will ultimately hurt them in long run.
Because if there is no endgame difficult content, there is no point making a strong team. Getting powerful 5* characters or weapons is useless.
Just spend our primogems on standard banner only, and level up every character we get from it. If we build them right way we can essentially clear every casual contents this game has to offer.

  10. play it for a couple of month, grinding to death and dont have even a decent artifact, my best character that deal a damage is yanfei, zhongli and fischl. and its not even considered to be good, and i am already tired, catch every culus possible even the dendro one. all story is done but still my character is not that crazy

  11. All of these issues can be fixed if whales came together and stopped whaling. Hoyoverse does not care about your feedback or frustration or disappointment. They will never address these issues until you hurt them financially.

  12. how Genshin players can get Hoyoverse to fix their shit:

    1) give them 1 star reviews like we did during the first anniversary

    2) stop whaling on this game for God's sake, they won't listen to your complaints until they're hurt financially

  13. I'm playing Genshin everyday but I dislike Spiral Abyss, I'm playing for the story and getting new characters and have zero interest in end game content like Abyss. I only play abyss to get some Primos and often I won't bother even completing floor 12 or even 11. I literally get bored with continuous combat. I will not be surprised if there are more people like me than there are like Mtash and I think it is possible the majority of players don't really play spiral Abyss that's why we don't see any support for continuing this sort of gameplay.

  14. I mean yeah you do have a point but then again…

Some people might get the anxiety if the new high level end game content is something they "have to do" while they primarily play for different aspects.

Similarly some people might be using suboptimal characters because A) shit RNG B) they like their design/story etc and C) they are more fun than "one shot" characters. Your view of numerical value is not valid for everyone.

The fact that you personally don't have problem with all the various reactions etc, again, is not valid for everyone out there?

Also they said they are not considering another area as the spiral abyss… ie. another solo player hard arena combat. There is no need for two of those. And if you won't need super min-maxed artifacts, then you don't need more resin for farming the super optimal artifacts.

So I get you, but we should remember that there is really wide player base, not everyone is minmaxing focused.

Your analogy to league that they delete 5 favorite characters… they do it all the time, by reworks some characters no more exist and by new character some are so obsolete they are not really used, because in that game the numbers really do matter.

  15. I feel like I just watched myself from early 2021 except for me the game that did it was World of Warcraft. After 12 years of mostly consistent play, over the course of 2-3 months I made my peace with the fact that the fun was GONE and it did not look like it would ever be back. The sad irony is that Genshin was one of the two games that helped me reach that realization. Almost as sad is that I figured out Genshin would not hold onto me in under 6 months.
I think that Genshin is being mismanaged and I can't figure out how no one at the top is noticing or doing anything about it.
And the most insane thing is HoYo has people that turned around a game and it's now well on it's to surge in popularity in it's 6th year on the market. I've heard horror stories about Honkai in it's 2nd and 3rd year. About how many players just quit and how poorly the players viewed the game at the time. Just a couple of weeks ago Honkai released an arc trailer that was poorly named to imply the game was ending. The reactions were all in the vain of "WTF do you mean it's ending, that can't be real". Thankfully people have come out to clear up the fact that it's just the end of the First big part of the story and there will be a lot more to come. And now the hype for that is through the roof. People are analyzing a silhouette screenshot of what seems to be the main character in super advanced gear like it hold the secrets to the universe.
The thing I still can't figure out is – why? Why is no one on the Genshin team, picking up a phone or walking across a campus (if that is their set up) or anything else and asking the people the already went through something like this for FUCKING ADVICE. The games are different genres… so what. None of the issue Genshin has come from it's genre. They are all fundamental game design problems and PR and communication shortcomings.

  16. Yeah man, this is likely the nail in the coffin for me. With no change coming to endgame, resin system etc. there is just nothing to do. Except for some events for a few days, which is then followed up by weeks of drought. The last thing that holds me in the game is wanting to know where the story goes and the new characters (Dehya, Nahida etc.) dropping, but it will take months for characters to drop.
My final thoughts: why should I play a game where the developer did not make even ONE skin for the MAIN character, although its been two years and four regions to choose a style from.

  17. I’m gonna be brutally honest. I’ve played Genshin since day one and watched mtashed every time I remember he exists and I Goto his channel there is a video saying I’m quitting or I want to quit. If you do not like the direction the game is going tru use your connections to get to people with influence if that doesn’t work genuinely quit or stop click baiting this way and just wish in peoples accounts every day and do account reviews for clicks

  18. One think I can say is that I'm getting bored of genshin because there is no point of even building any of my characters if I have not thing to use them for because even abyss is just die very easily and I'm not even a whale to be honest I have lot all of my 50/50s and Just one thing that will make genshin great again is just to add combat related endgame content that is harder then abyss every update so that we have something to do every update and mtashed if you are seeing this I have an Idea if we make this all over the genshin community maybe they will do it

  19. I'll be honest, I'm not really too concerned with the lack of endgame, I'm content doing spiral abyss and leaving it at that. But the real punch to the gut for me was them saying they wouldn't increase resin. Farming mats and artifacts is already such a pain in the ass, and as the game progresses, there will be more sets and materials to farm. And the fact that, in spite of that, hoyo decided to just let us keep putting up with this bullshit resin cap shows how little they truly give a shit about their playerbase.

  20. abyss is a good way to test combat but it was never added to test whales or people super lucky with artifacts but it does need to change the mobs u fight in it every reset cuz fighting the same things at reset kind of sucks

  21. I still have some hope as they only said they wouldn't make endgame that is SIMILAR to spiral abyss, however they still implied that they are making endgame, just not combat endgame. Which is not for everyone obviously but as the combat in this game isn't really complicated, they could possible design new endgame that utilizes the character in other ways. Although this is probably not happening, I still have hope as this is what they implied.
